Do not go this driving school. First, the owner and the wife told me all the family with last name "Kim" are giving them trouble. The hourse of operation on the website is wrong. They are racist and they also will not hear your concerns. They made mistake on scheduling the instructor. They make you drive to their house to bring papers. They also are very rude in speaking to clients. There is no professionalism. I had the most horrible experience with these two people. Thankfully, I found other places to rectify the situation. Shocked out of my mind. First off my driving exam is in less than a month so I figured, though these reviews are a mixture of good and bad, I decided to give this driving school a whirl. ( i have a very tight summer schedule and all the other driving schools that are popular can't seem to accommodate my requests.)So I booked with a nice lady on the phone - very pleasant, she almost seems like my grandma back home. She worked very well with me to try and figure out a schedule that seemed perfect ! She accommodated my Sunday at 8:30am, Thursday at 6 and after that, I told her I'd let her know before my second lesson the next best day that I could schedule for. I'm a late riser but I got up at 8:15 for my 8:30 driving this Sunday morning. I gathered the fee, my ID and my permit. I looked at the time it said 8:35, I scanned the roads to find it clear of all moving vehicles, so I decided that being patient would be the next best thing. (I think less than 10 minutes sometimes even 15 is fine) however standing outside watching the sun and flowers and hearing the birds chirping was lovely but made time feel like It was passing too slowly. Immediately someone answered "Ms. Bryan" -- I was quite shocked but figured of coarse they know I'm a lesson today so I quickly collected myself and answered "Hello", I was hoping to hear something along the lines of "we are running late, but we're on our way" but no-- "Im sorry but Alvin has called in sick and we don't have another driver" - reasonable I thought, although I was still pretty bitter about it. But then He continued "he's been saying he's sick, stomach ache, not feeling well, he's sick" he repeated so I thought -- that sounds like it's been not just been today perhaps other days that "Alvin" has been feeling ill, couldn't they have made back up plans just in case ? I guess I'm just bitter that I have to cancel this driving appointment that I've long anticipated and though I'm reasonably confident that this wouldn't happen again I can't afford to risk it with such a close exam and my busy schedule. Unfortunately I can't rate the driving experience which I think above all else is most important because this experience has turned me sour and I don't think I really want to find out. Read Less

This is the most unprofessional driving school I've ever encountered. The actual instructor, is awesome. The management is the WORST. 1) They never answer the phones when you need to try and make an appointment. 2) They showed up nearly 40 minutes late for my lesson - no sorry, nothing. I tried calling them a million times and all I received was "they're on the way." 3) On the day for one of my lessons, it was snowing. I figured, obviously, the lesson would be cancelled. I called 5 minutes after my scheduled time for lesson to just make sure and the guy who answered said yes, it's cancelled. I politely asked if they were going to call and let me know if it was cancelled, and he said "No. You should use your head." I'm sorry - is this anyway to speak to someone who is literally PAYING for your services? Despite the actual instructor being great, I will NOT use this company ever again. Read Less

First of all, I would like to address Blk W.'s other review. I actually had the EXACT OPPOSITE of an experience. Romy is the owner, and Romy's wife, Grace, runs the company very very very well. I began my driving lessons during winter of 2011. I paid the full price for 6 hours, but I became too busy. I did not respond to Grace's calls for over 6 months. They still called me every 2 weeks and left voicemails to reach me.During the summer of 2012, I began my lessons with Gilberto, and he was very nice. Gilberto has taught driving for Grace Driving School for over 20 years, and the experience is obvious. I thoroughly enjoyed all my lessons with him. After my 6 hours, my mother wanted me to practice more (I was perfectly prepared, but there were not enough cars at home for me to practice with my family), and Gilberto continued to teach me.When I started, I found it hard to believe that Grace Driving School has a 99%+ success rate. Now I know why. Besides taking me to the course to practice before the test, Romy (or another teacher) personally "approves" of each student before the student's test. If the student does not look like he/she will pass, they will tell the student and recommend more practice. I highly recommend Gilberto and Romy. (I'm sure the other teachers are great, but I've only had lessons with Gilberto and Romy.)About the lessons:- EXPERIENCE. I thought parallel parking would be difficult, but everytime we practiced, Gilberto and Romy set up the cones perfectly. It looked EXACTLY like the course. They even had their own tricks to pass the test. They not only know how to drive, but they know how to TEACH. - KNOWLEDGE. They know the best highways to practice on in NJ. (Who knew Palisades Parkway and Rt-17 could test different things?)- DMV EXPERIENCE! When I arrived at the DMV to take the test, Romy knew every single instructor, and every single instructor knew Romy. The very fact that the instructors all knew how great Romy's driving school is gave me more confidence.- Finally, most importantly: THEY CARE. My lessons would be only 2 hours, but they would ALWAYS go over at least 30 minutes. Sometimes, my 2 hour lessons would even be 3 hours, and they would only charge me for 2. Also, they picked me up from anywhere and dropped me off anywhere. (Ex. Pick me up from school, drive for 2 hours, drop me off at home)I took my test on December 28th, 2012. I passed with a 100. :) Read Less

I highly recommend Romy in this driving school.  He is the best driving instructor out there.  He has been teaching for around 20 years, so he definitely knows what he is doing.  I was an awful driver and my parents and friends all believed that I would use public transportation for the rest of my life.  But, to my surprise, Romy helped me pass.  He is very patient and encouraging.  On the day before the test, he took me to Lodi and we practiced just like the exam.  He also knew everybody at Lodi, so that helped me calm down before the test.  To my surprise, my parallel parking was flawless and I passed!  When using this school, request Romy.
