I want to give them 6 star if I can!. After a bad experience with other school. I found this school and called to reserve the class at the same day. They booked me up with an instructor fast and I was able to get a lesson in the afternoon same day. My instructor was Kathy. I am experienced driver in other country but have not driven here in US. She communicated with me and started fixing my driving habit and explained why and how. She repeated until I was able to see what I am doing wrong. She encourages you enough to make you feel not too nervous but point on all small details you miss. On the day of the road test, I did one more 1 hour lesson right before the test. That was very effective too. At the actual test, I found myself remembering everything what she has been telling me to do. I passed! This school really helps you a lot. I already knew how to drive when I started taking my classes but one of their instructors named Angel he gave me so many tips on making me a better driver. I didn't know how to parallel park and he taught me literally in one lesson. He's very helpful and he doesn't get mad at you if you mess up because he just wants to help you succeed. I took driving lessons from this school and cleared the road test at Lodhi last week. My instructor was Jose who really taught me how to drive. He also made me ready on how to clear the road tests. Initially, I was making some mistakes which were identified by Jose and he made sure that I am doing those correctly (For example turnings). I hadn't driven in ten years after an accident, but had to get my license. Amin Driving School was great--Jose was super understanding of how nervous I was and gave me the confidence I needed to pass the exam and even drive on the highway, which I thought I would never do. Being in Amin Driving School for 2 days was really great. Orlando was my first instructor from that school and taught me how to park faster. The first time I made an appointment the instructor Jose called me that same day to tell me if I could move up the appointment because he had another student that was taking the test at that time (they should've figured that out before scheduling my appointment) I already had something else to do so we reschedule it for a later time. He did teach me "tricks" on how to park. He wanted to drop me off 10min earlier but I didn't allow it. The second time I made an appointment the same story happened, my appointment was rescheduled . I specifically decided to take these classes to learn how to park. On my road test I decided to rent the car from Jose. BIG MISTAKE. Jose wanted to meet me early so we can practice, I had another appointment and was running a little late. Because of this he said he couldn't wait for me and couldn't rent me the car. This got me extremely frustrated I was even crying because I was counting on it. It messed me up. I called the school to send me someone else but unfortunately he was the only one available. I decided to bite the bullet and rent the car. I failed the test because when we practiced he never mention that the parking spots on the test were gonna be tight and we never practiced under that situation. That plus the fact that he was being all "important" about his schedule really left a bad taste in my mouth. This was my experience with JOSE. NOT RELIABLE. It's not a good school. The driving instructors do not teach you anything. They just take your money. They're also highly unprofessional. The people in charge of scheduling never know anything or change your appointments so they can make a bit more money. Read Less

I was very nervous taking my road test for the second time after I had failed a few years ago and she helped learn the easiest ways to learn every part of the test. I had just one lesson with this school and decided i was better off learning on a Zip car instead. I already had a license and wanted to polish my skills before i buy a car. The instructor Orlando is the most disinterested person you can find in the area. He dint care to talk to me at all to know if there was anything specific i was looking to learn or why i had taken this class. Throughout the 1 hour of coaching, he was making personal calls to his family. The only time he spoke to me was to give left/right directions. I found this to be a complete waste of my time and money. I was looking to learn the rules of the road and practice them with some guidance from the instructor. Was also looking to practice K turns, parallel parking , highway driving. But my instructor would know about this only if he kept his cellphone away and focussed his attention to the person who was paying for the hour (me). I had two very nice instructors there: Joe and Jose. They both prepared me very well and I passed the road test. They were really committed into it, professional and decent. Always on time. I highly recommend them, in contrast with Ideal Driving School, which gave me hard times. I took three classes with them and every time either the instructor was late or they finished early, so it was never really two full hours. They totally unprofessional, once I waited for an hour and half to get the instructor pick me up. Nobody called me and notify of the delay. Read Less

I just had a two hours lesson -- basically to get familiar with the car I was taking for the exam the next day. Joe is a really great instructor. He pointed out a few things I would have missed in the exam. The exam went very smooth. p.s. I am not an experienced driver. I learned how to drive using the services of another driving school (Amar), which in terms of professionalism sucked badly. I had arranged with the other school to go to the test but somehow they cancelled it the day before my test... I feel fortunate I contacted Amin and that I had Joe to instruct me in the last day. I am actually giving "NO STAR" because i dont want anybody else to suffer.here are my points. i ma silently praying to god while writing this review because i am sfae home today. 1. Before i booked a session, i specially asked for an English speaking instructor.I n spite of that they have assigned an Spanish person who barely speaks english and says "brah" for breaks.2. He abruptly changes lanes with out even looking at the road, no signalling  and keeps on buzzing when we were behind the school bus . obviously I got yelled at and shown fingers, hands . 3. I don't think adjusting all the  mirrors according to his convenience and teach me how to parallel park and take K-turn is correct way of teaching driving :(.In one hour class, he barely looked at me and taught me . all the time checking phone. worst part is the moment he is out of mobile he changes lane. Horrible, terrible. .... do not book with  this driving school. .. I had maria as my teacher and she was on her phone 50 percent of the time and the othet 50 per she was  filling out papers and organising them while I was driving ...I was left to figure things out on the road in horrible scary traffic....maria was extremelly rude  to me while I was in traffic... she is not fit to be an  driving instructor. .... You put an Asian girl, a Spanish lady and a huge language barrier behind the wheel in the city and what do you get? A car ... in flames. But thankfully none of that happened so I kissed the ground when I got out of the car but I sure felt like I was going to crash every 5 minutes while driving. The driving instructor was okay. She didn't do much teaching, it was more like "winging it". She went on her phone twice and mentioned about me paying her an hour before my lesson ended. Not very professional. Plus, the big language barrier didn't help either. I'd have to ask her where she wanted me to drive and sometimes I'd hear the wrong thing. It seems like a small problem but it's a big deal when you're driving, especially on the highway and for the first time nonetheless. On the bright side, she was very patient and encouraging especially when I got really nervous. You can call and ask which instructors teach on what day and see who is the best teacher for you.
