Quite possibly the worst group of people I've had to interact with. Every time I would be trying to access my rental space, which required me to walk through their hallway, the instructors would be chain smoking directly outside the door...with the door propped wide open...in the dead of winter! BEWARE OF THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!! Very suspicious accounting going on there. My story:-I registered my son for a class. They charged my credit card (cc) immediately. -One week before class was to start, they canceled citing not enough students and refund is coming. -Ten days later, still no refund in sight. My calls were never returned, but office manager responded to my e-mails telling me it was in the hands of the accountant. -Over the next few days and persistent follow-up, I was told my refund would come by check! (Check? I expected to be credited on my cc, but oh well.) Office mgr was only "relaying message from accountant". At this point, I'll take whatever. Money is tight because now I had to register with another driving school (paid in full on first session), and pay my CC bill too! (I could not pay my CC balance because I was out of funds with this double whammy!)-Another week goes by, still no refund check in the mail. Calls are not returned, but office manager e-mail says it's on its way. I ask when exactly was it mailed. After two days, I get response saying "it was mailed yesterday". WHAT??? After all my calls, e-mails and persistent follow-ups, they knew I NEEDED that money yet they did not mail that stupid check!!! They were CONSCIOUSLY aware that THEY WERE LYING TO ME about the check being on its way.-Four days later.... still no check in my mailbox. Office mgr says it was mailed.-Finally, almost one month after Hampshire Driving School took my money, a check appears in the mail. And guess what! There is something wrong with it! (good grief)1 - It is addressed to correct street but wrong town! (On purpose perhaps? A delaying tactic so check wouldn't get to me?)2 - Check was Paid To: My 15-year-old son! Hello? The credit card you charged was NOT my son's card, why send the refund to my son? ARE YOU FOLKS DUMB??? But then again, it has to be another delaying tactic, perhaps in hopes that the son does not have a bank account to deposit the money into, buying them more time.There is definitely some suspicious activity going on at this business.
