Cathy is an amazingly patient instructor! My son just passed his test (after his 1st attempt).  He suffers from anxiety and had put the test off for over 2 years because he didn't feel comfortable driving.  I don't know what sorcery Cathy performed on him, but he passed! I'm kidding, she's not a sorceress but she's really good at what she does.  The lessons were totally worth the money.  I could not recommend her enough for parents struggling to get their baby birds outta the nest and into a car. Cathy is the BEST!!! Especially if you afraid to drive or never drive on your own before! I try 2 schools before I find her - and I was afraid, totally mortified of driving - and she did cure me! She is so patient and understanding and calm and let you drive and learn quietly, without pressure, and SHE KNOWS WHAT NEW DRIVER DON'T KNOW OR CAN FORGET and telling you that right away, before you get in trouble, and she so calm! She knows how many seconds needed for new driver to make decision and let you do that without interrupting and putting pressure on you, but she always here to help and tell you what to do if needed!   I thought I will never learn how to drive.... I try 2 different schools before  (yes, the big ones) and take lot of lessons....which didn't help, because they teach, but  expecting me to know the basics, (which I didn't know because I grow up in no-car household) and make me afraid to drive and make me feel like I'm an idiot who can't remember simple things and every lesson I more and more scared and ashamed... they keep shouting and even humiliating by saying I should learn by now...  But they completely didn't  realize someone may don't actually know where horn button is or how to turn lights on or how to unlock parking lock... so I was ended up trying to pass DMV test - and didn't know where horn button is, because teacher from first school forget to tell me! How person who never drive before and never even told by anyone before what all that buttons and controls for, who don't even have car in household  suppose to learn immediately?! And shouting didn't help, by the way! Cathy start lesson from checking if I know \ remember what all those buttons and controls for - very slowly and patiently, and how to operate them. Then, when I was driving, she don't push her pedal every time when she think I not gonna stop, she looking at me and what I'm doing and give me that few important seconds what new driver need to make decision - and I did stop on time every time! And she not expect me master that special hand-on-wheel movement what some teachers told student but what makes them slowing down every time they turning steering wheel...she ok to let me drive and take time to remember that, so I have no fear and remember! No pressure, friendly, quiet, polite and very helpful - in one first lesson I almost get rid of my fear of driving, which I have constantly with other teachers lesson after lesson! She is amazing!!! I wish I find her sooner, before I spend thousands!I now feel like I actually will be able to drive on my own soon!!! Read Less

Cathy is an excellent teacher: patient, easygoing, and very knowledgeable. If I hadn't hired her to teach me I would still be taking 2 hour bus rides to get to work and relying on my husband to get everywhere.I'm a woman in my mid-20s who had almost no driving experience and was extremely nervous and lacking in confidence behind the wheel. Every time I tried to drive somewhere I became overwhelmed and panicked. I didn't know how to control a vehicle and the rules of the road confused me. Now I have my own car and drive confidently to work and to appointments. If you are an adult who is stuck in a rut because you fear driving or never had the opportunity when you were younger, I highly recommend Cathy!
