I had the instructor joe such a nice guy and he was very discriptive on what he wanted you to do, he also talked to me after the road test about things I needed to work on or make better which really helped me. I had a pretty good experience here. The office is nice, people are nice, and I passed. Good location because there's not a lot of people and/or traffic here - I went in the morning (I feel like traffic gets pretty bad after 1 pm) and there were very few cars on the road. Horrible people. We were told over the phone to arrive at 4:30 and emailed that it was at 4:15. Of course we didn't see the difference until we were on our way. Tried to call that we would be 10 minutes late and they said they would not do it if we were more than 9 minutes late. When we arrived, our tester rudely addressed us, told us we were 10 minutes late and he would not do the test, even though our phones showed we were 9 minutes late. Joe is the best! I failed parking the day before my permit expired however he told me to practice gave me pointers and the next day he scheduled me after hours and stayed and allowed me another chance (had to pay twice) before my permit expired! And he made me feel so comfortable on the road. He didnt make me nervous at all and was very welcoming! Would recommend! Read Less

Joe Frontier - Plainfield location - Very fair and understanding, but still grades by the book, as he should. He was very patient and gave clear instructions. Despite other more negative reviews, this is a fair and just driving test location. Joe did absolutely not try to fail me. Although I made some dumb mistakes, and the tester highlighted the areas I need to work on, I would expect that much from any other testing company WITHOUT the rude tone and gruff remarks. I personally highly recommend finding a different testing company, but I'm sure Precision's overall rating of 2/5 stars speaks for itself. P.S.: My tester informed me that traveling a mere 5 miles per hour over the speed limit was an AUTOMATIC fail, something which practically every adult driver does and I'm sure would not be considered even a small penalty elsewhere. Don't go here! The elderly women got in my car. Starting pushing bottoms. Complaining she was hot, and order me to put on The air. The elderly women hit and yelled at me. After asking a question why she made her decision she yelled again. Putting hand in my face. When asked to speak with a manager. She ran in the building and in front of other people yelled again. I came in after her and asked to speak to the manager alone. She came in yelled called me a "Liar" and the manager stood there and laughed. While the elderly women went on her rant. Precision really needs to work on their customer service. My son set up his road test for a Saturday morning and prepaid online. When we arrived the staff present insisted we didn't have an appointment at their location. After some back and forth, my son pulled up the email confirmation confirming his test date and time. Even after the appt was confirmed the instructor still acted as if we were messing up her schedule somehow. I was taken aback at how unprofessional this staff acted - RUDE. Read Less

I signed up for a driving test in Mecosta County with Al Thorington. I registered through www.michiganroadtesting.com. Aside from the fact that my appointment was initially cancelled because I didn't prepay with a credit/debit card, the test went well. (The website mentioned that I could pay through five forms of payment, but failed to mention that it had to be prepaid). That was cleared up the morning of the test. It went extremely well. The instructor was friendly and nice and the test was relatively stress-free. As long as you don't speed or violate traffic laws, you can pass the road portion.
