Just graduated this past Saturday I came in three weeks ago never touched a semi a day in my life never thought it was possible at all.... these guys at this school all admissions, directors, and all instructors very knowledgeable and were great they went out and beyond for me they treat you how you want to be treated. I just graduated from tri area trucking school didnt think that i would pass but with the help of the instructors i did it. With these guys help i went from never knowing how to shift a semi to passing the class and finally driving test it only took me 3wks of hard work and a lot of listening to the guys on how to drive. Adam is a great instructor but it is very hard to get anyone to give you the one on one help you really need. Their equipment is pretty poor which makes it difficult to learn. I would truly consider this a CDL mill. The number of graduates they post doesn't mean all them people got their CDL. I graduated but never passed my road test. So glad to see Tri Area bought out Liberty Truck driving school in Gladwin! My wife chose Liberty because they were closer than Tri Area, a big mistake! The owner, Kirby was all too eager to take her money ($4000) but never finished his job and kept feeding her empty promises! (Kirby, if you're reading this, I urge you to do the right thing, for once, and give my wife the money back that you still owe her!!) I know I picked one of the best Truck Driving programs available. Corporate insured that the staff and instructers have the knowledge to teach the correct procedures and skills to operate such a vehicle with that much responsibility. I had a very good experience at Tri Area Trucking School everyone is very nice there and they go out of there way to help you succeed. My instructor Adam was very cool he took his time to actually show me how to drive the truck unlike another school I went to. I passed my third party tests last Friday and I now have my cdl a license and I will be going to work for a big trucking company soon. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT Ever go to this school they pass you even if your not ready. I went through their course twice the first time I failed in which is fine I have no complaint's about this. Then THEY CALLED ME to maybe rectify where I went wrong in this scenario is fine as well. They still PASSED ME when they should NOT HAVE. I went on to try this even when my doubts were as I assumed with Werner Enterprises I still was completely mentally not right for me. It wasn't Werner Enterprises fault it was this SHADY GIVE ME YOUR MONEY Company. The 1st time I paid for the 2nd time I was ASKED to go back they were to pay for. The kicker was they felt it necessary to sue me for OVER $8,000 for a $500.00 course. I already had my CDL PERMIT so they cannot take it. I knew the text of the course just was not able to put the physical of driving the truck into action. NOT everyone is able to do this job. I have not & will not ever drive another SEMI. Although I can use my CDL for something I am more able to drive like a Taxi or a small bus. I have told them I am not able to do this it scare's me and now they want to sue. Fine Sue and they did when I lived in a different area. Now, they are trying to SUE me AGAIN. Last I knew for the same thing you CANNOT SUE TWICE FOR THE SAME THING. Tri- area has one of the best schools around. The teachers and people who work in the front top grade. Who ever wrote this bad review was most likly a person that failed their written exam thinking it would be easy. The person is simply trying to make himself feel better about himself; By blaming the teachers for not teaching him. Every past student from the drivers ed classes have loved both the johns. If you are looking to enroll your student into drivers ed this is the place to be if you want them to pass. The trucking and motor cycle program is very good as well. Read Less

WHOEVER WROTE THE LAST REVIEW IS FULL OF S***! first of all, they blame the teacher for doing c***k? seriously,they were obviously on c***kwhen they wrote that review.whoever did write it was the reason that the class screwed around, because they thought that they were above everyone else&didnt need to take the test,then they failed it&they just cant stop complaining about the whole thing. they just need to get over it&realize that theyre a horrible person for putting down a really good school& hurting really awsome peoples feelings when they didnt deserve it, even tho im sure whoever said it isnt worth getting worked up over anyways. the were just too immature&didnt deserve to go to that class in the first place. so seriously, the school is deffinatly a good choice to take drivers training at& the teachers are actually really awsome.&they wouldve noticed that if they actually paid attention in that class. i think this driving school is really awsome. you learn what you need to, but it's also interesting.if you have to go somewhere every night for like four weeks, you might as well enjoy it. the teachers are really awsome. the in class instructor is very friendly&is deffinatly a people person. he keeps the class active,lively, & entertaining. the teachers teach you what to do in real life situations, but also teach you the laws.these classes you should keep an open mind about it. if you automatically decide not to like this class and right away decide to dislike your teachers&classmates, then you ruin the class for yourself &everyone else you complain to. if you keep an open mind about the class and give the teachers respect, then i think you will really enjoy the class. just because its not the most exciting part of the steps you take to get to get your drivers license, doesnt mean that its not just as important. i would recomend this class to anyone because the school is great, the classes are awsome,&the teachers think realistically&keep the class motivated. I read the other reviews and was surprised!!! My experience at Tri Area was great! I'm so glad my friend told me about them. The instructors were nice and really took the time to help me. I never could have got my CDL without them. Michigan Works paid for my training and another student in my class came from a diffrent Michigan Works, so I know that they deal with the school. I would recommend the school to anyone that wants to learn how to drive a truck. Read Less
