I did driving lessons with Nancy last year before my driving test and she is just a delight! Very helpful, nice, and calming which is what I needed since I have anxiety. Even the person she sent out if she couldn't make it was nice and helpful! I'd definitely recommend Nancy and Bernard Driving School to anyone who asks. She's also very knowledgeable in other topics, so that was pretty cool.

Very unprofessional. The classroom sessions are long and boring and they don't show any videos because it's "too much work," and whenever you ask questions Nancy totally avoids the question and talks...
Very unprofessional. The classroom sessions are long and boring and they don't show any videos because it's "too much work," and whenever you ask questions Nancy totally avoids the question and talks about how great her drivig school is or how great her son (NJ, he is also a driving instructor for Bernard's) is. The driving lessons aren't too bad but you end up going through bad parts of New Bedford a lot. Not reccomended whatsoever, not worth the 500 dollars needed to take the class. Learned more from walking through a crosswalk than I did from a driving lesson from this place.
I failed my driving test because of things that they did not teach me, such as using your turn signal when leaving a parking space or checking blind spots *behind* you when exiting a parking space.

Ignoring all the arrogant responses. This driving school was very nice and I got through all of my work easily! The teacher is really kind and easy to get along with! Yes, the classes are boring and long, but they are required by law and state. So suck it up butter-cup, you gotta do it.
In all seriousness, the driving instructors are really set on making you a good driver, and they also worry about your personal life. They'll talk to you, and they don't look down on you either. I loved my driving instructor and I still keep in contact with her.

The instructors are kind, super respectful and well versed in the correct/legal methods in driving. I highly recommend Bernard's Driving school to anyone person in need of such services!!!!!!!!

My daughter went here for driving school and I will NOT be sending my 2nd child. I was told that "it is normal for the kids to fail their first road test". Who says that. I have never heard such garba...
My daughter went here for driving school and I will NOT be sending my 2nd child. I was told that "it is normal for the kids to fail their first road test". Who says that. I have never heard such garbage.... When my daughter was on her test they asked her where she went to driving school and she told them Bernards, then she was asked who she drove with she replied with NJ, and the woman she was with nodded her head with disgust..... The registry employees do not take them serious so do NOT waste your money or your childs time.

Worst experience ever. This driving school is very unprofessional in every way. The classes are long and drawn out and leave you feeling like you wasted your time. The appointments for lessons are always being cancelled without notice or changed at times of great inconvenience. Whenever I went in for a class I was always greeted with "do you have any payments?" They seriously won't take you for a ride considering the laziness and they really, only do care about taking your money. I felt like everything I learned was self taught. And also felt that they did not care enough to value your time. I would advise everyone who wants to take drivers education courses to go anywhere else. This is not worth the money and definitely not worth the time. Also like another reviewer stated I would also give a negative star rating if I could.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. The owner Nancy and her son are horrible. Their business is horrible. She took our money and never showed up for appointments. She never answers phone calls and she seems like she is mentally challenged. Overall the worst experience with a driving school. Next year with our third child we will be attending another school. Do not even bother with this driving school. It is a waste of money and time. Go to another local driving school and save yourself the headache.

This business is highly unprofessional. They constantly cancel appointments, loose important paperwork, and are extreemly rude to the customer. After confronting the owner about my complaints she didn't even try to explain her side of the situation, she apparently doesn't care once she has your money. Finally, when I paid her $95 for the road test consisting of the $50 license fee, $20 road test fee and $25 for the use of her car (for 15 minutes) they showed up late to the test. This caused extra nervousness in my child and he failed the test. Now she refuses to refund the $50 license fee, saying I paid "$75 for use of her car and that is what I got!" go anywhere but here!

I did driving lessons with Nancy last year before my driving test and she is just a delight! Very helpful, nice, and calming which is what I needed since I have anxiety. Even the person she sent out if she couldn't make it was nice and helpful! I'd definitely recommend Nancy and Bernard Driving School to anyone who asks. She's also very knowledgeable in other topics, so that was pretty cool.

Very unprofessional. The classroom sessions are long and boring and they don't show any videos because it's "too much work," and whenever you ask questions Nancy totally avoids the question and talks about how great her drivig school is or how great her son (NJ, he is also a driving instructor for Bernard's) is. The driving lessons aren't too bad but you end up going through bad parts of New Bedford a lot. Not reccomended whatsoever, not worth the 500 dollars needed to take the class. Ignoring all the arrogant responses. This driving school was very nice and I got through all of my work easily! The teacher is really kind and easy to get along with! Yes, the classes are boring and long, but they are required by law and state. So suck it up butter-cup, you gotta do it.
In all seriousness, the driving instructors are really set on making you a good driver, and they also worry about your personal life. They'll talk to you, and they don't look down on you either. I loved my driving instructor and I still keep in contact with her.

Worst experience ever. This driving school is very unprofessional in every way. The classes are long and drawn out and leave you feeling like you wasted your time. This business is highly unprofessional. They constantly cancel appointments, loose important paperwork, and are extreemly rude to the customer. After confronting the owner about my complaints she didn't even try to explain her side of the situation, she apparently doesn't care once she has your money. Finally, when I paid her $95 for the road test consisting of the $50 license fee, $20 road test fee and $25 for the use of her car (for 15 minutes) they showed up late to the test.
