This review is for the new owners of Mike's Auto School or now Chelmsford Auto School: Took my money ($600) and won't show up for driving hours; no notice, no call, just a no show. Have tried to reach out on MULTIPLE occasions and left messages but no response or call back. A total disappointment of a driving school. Now have to invest in another local driving school for my daughter, most likely Safe Roads, although she has already taken the week-long driver course. The most unprofessional business I have ever had to deal with. Please, take my advice and the advice of others, STAY AWAY! Read Less

After reading the negative reviews I am compelled to review and give our experience.  My daughter just completed this course and she absolutely loved the instructor and  the course.  The owner is a no nonsense woman, she is entrusted with the safety of our children as future drivers.  She expects the students full effort and attention and I am thankful for that.  My daughter has many other commitments and they worked with us regarding her schedule so that she could get all of her driving hours completed in a reasonable amount of time.  The instructor is direct, but fair and in our experience she always had the safety and best interest of the students in mind. I don't think I could have chosen a better driving school! At Mike's not only were we taught everything we needed in order to become safe and responsible drivers, but Mrs. P presented all of the material in a fun and interesting way. She has a great sense of humor and is absolutely hilarious, but she is also a wise teacher to respect. Any of the reviews below of customers with bad experiences most likely placed it on themselves. Mrs. P is a very nice and likable lady, and she openly gives each student her respect at the beginning of the classes. The only time a student would get on her bad side, is if that student outright went against her requirements of behavior, out of a lack of respect. All I can say right now is WOW! If I could give zero stars I would! I didn't even get as far as to enroll my son (THANKFULLY)... the woman that owns this place was so rude & arrogant on the phone & spoke to me like I was interrupting her day from the minute she picked up the phone (I almost hung up right there). I asked her if my son would be able to start her next session the following week & she actually spoke angrily at me that I couldn't just call this short of notice & expect my kid to start the next day! A) It wasn't the next day but rather 5 days later & B) I'm so sorry , this is my 1st child to get their license & I didn't get the memo on your policies.. THATS WHY IM CALLING! My husband has been a state trooper for YEARS & actually did the road testing for some time (so he knows a lot of people associated with this) & we have NEVER witnessed such rudeness from someone who's profession is to prepare our youth to drive!!! I was so taken back & upset at the way she was talking to me that I actually called her a b/tc$ & anyone who knows me KNOWS I don't talk like that. The owner actually laughed & hung up on me. Right hand to God!!!' I stood there dumbfounded & thinking if she treats a parent like this I can only imagine how she treats our kids. FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL, ANY OTHER SCHOOL!  Yikes! :(UPDATE!!! This school still stinks (we've heard many other complaints about the woman that owns this place being so RUDE) but if you are looking for an EXCELLENT program for your son/daughter .. check out SAFE ROADS ACADEMY! I can't believe this place is actually in business.  The lady was rude and belligerent on the phone then said good luck finding another school when I said I would go elsewhere.  I have not heard one good thing about this school at all and hopefully people do their homework before sending your kids there. Avoid at all costs. The owner is rude, unprofessional and a manipulative,unabashed liar. My sons friend went there, and skipped through because she liked him. Shortly after getting his license he caused $3000 worth of damage in the high school parking lot, just backing up. My son was denied driving for nearly two years while Cindy Paradis harassed and terrorized our whole family. She had the good sense never to put her lies in writing, so she knew what she was doing was very wrong. Her judgement about people's abilities is defective. I don't know what she did before this, but I think that she might have been a psychologist for the Lipmann center, and she thinks that she actually knows something. This experience was a complete waste of time and money for our whole family.I love her one "friend" that keeps writing in her defense. Read Less

I have had 2 sons use this school and a third is about to start.We have had only minor scheduling problems.That is to be expected; especially when the student is working.We interviewed a driving school that was closer but the students were just rushed into a car; the book work is also important.I like knowing Mike's has classroom time. My boys are excellent drivers and a lot of the credit goes to Mike's. Read Less

I still remember my time at this school with a horrible taste in my mouth. The highlights: the instructor knowing all the sporty bros in my class and stopping class to circlejerk with them and talk a about her kid, leaving a rude message on my answering machine when I misunderstood the payment schedule, being otherwise totally brusque and unaccomodating. I would only recommend this driving school to my worst enemy who I genuinely didn't want to ever develop the skills needed to safely get behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. Read Less

I wish i could have put zero stars above but the woman that runs this place is extremely unprofessional and is obviously extremely insecure. I'm convinced that she takes her personal drama out on her students. I was supposed to get my license in April of 2012 but I'm now not able to get it until the end of May of 2012 because she didn't give me driving hours until the last minute and lied saying that I called out a 6 times when god forbid I have to call out once or twice because I have a job. She spoke to my mom very rudely and even hung up on her! She also freaked out on me when I politely asked her a simple question; this makes it VERY difficult to communicate with her. My parents own a business and would never treat a customer the way this woman has treated myself and my family. She is definitely not the proper business woman and frankly I'm surprised her business hasn't closed yet. I highly recommend that if you are considering going to Mike's Auto School you think twice before making the final decision. Read Less
