As a resident of waldorf Maryland a lot of my friends and also family attended Best Driving Academy. So before I was old enough to drive my whole life I hear that Best was the "best" (lol) driving school to go to! Now when I attended the school myself I found out that everything I have heard about the place was true. They made me feel comfortable in a classroom setting and as well behind the wheel of the car. They made sure I was 100% ready to take my final driving test up at the MVA. When ever I had any questions they gave me the exact answer I needed to hear and when I did have trouble in a certain area they made sure to focus on that area so I understood it. I also remember that they actually taught us (their students) things that were not a state requirement witch showed that they actually care about their students life and the lives that will be driving around that student.... If anyone ever asks me where should I take my child to driving school I will absolutely suggest Best. They really are better then the rest. Thanks guys, so far no accidents lol. Read Less

Honestly I was a little intimidated by the whole driving school deal but the instructors give you the information needed to be a safer driver on the roads. 100% an easy going class to take. Driving coaches are very patient and willing to help with any improvements. I have and will continue to encourage people to choose BEST. Worth it. I passed!!!! Read Less

I would definitely recommend BEST to first time drivers, as well as anyone else going to get their license again. They are very thorough. They assure you over and over so you’ve got it down. They make sure you have proper knowledge of everything you need to know in order to be a safe driver. I passed my test today, I used their car and they made sure I was comfortable in the car everything was good to go. Then stood in line with me helped me get set up to take the test and ran me through how everything was going to go down before taking the test. They’re very helpful and I would absolutely recommend them! Read Less

THE WORST FUCKING DRIVING SCHOOL ! I had 6 hours behind the wheel scheduled for 1:00pm, I called at 10:30am when my babysitter cancelled on me to let the school know I would not be able to make my 1:00PM appointment. HARRY cursed me out because he said hes going to have to pay a driver to sit in the parking lot for 2 hours because Im not showing up, as if I just decided to not go. The service & communication is terrible. Harry then proceeded to try & charge me $50 for not showing up. I never signed a contract or was verbally told that If I could not make my appointment there was going to be a fee. Extremely disrespectful & I wouldnt give my money to them. EVER Read Less

I cannot thank them enough for what they did this week to ensure I passed my road test following a two hour private driving lesson. Russell was an excellent teacher who, in two hours, showed me a foolproof method for successfully executing the two point turn with ease. Marcela also helped to keep me calm and confident during pre-test jitters as I awaited the examiner. Knowing the test route and what to watch for gave me a lot of confidence during the test. I would highly recommend this driving school. They are pros who genuinely seem to care about their students' success. Thanks again! Read Less

Best Driving school is one of only a hand full of driving schools in Charles County. They get the job done, but there is nothing special about them. I have found it very difficult to coordinate with them. Call the number, leave a message maybe they get back with you, maybe they don't. If you get lucky and get them on the phone they are very distracted. They are handling 2 or 3 other things while talking to you.A couple of years ago, one of the driving instructors for the road sessions reeked of smoke and took smoke breaks during the driving session. Another driving session instructor was hard to understand.They need more staff and a better filing and scheduling system.At the end of the day, if you take the class and the tests at the MVA, you probably with end up with a License. Definitely would recommend coming here. I had Russell as an in-class instructor and he did an amazing job getting all of the daily material out. I drove with Russel once and Andy twice. Andy is an impeccable driving instructor; he also has a lot of tricks up his sleeve when it comes to acing the backing up portion of the test. But make sure you triple check your driving times incase someone changes it without your knowledge. Read Less

Best was a really good driving school. I learned many different things that I didn't know before. I feel thoroughly prepared for the driving test. All of the personnel were really nice and friendly. My driving instructor's name was JT and he was really funny and he knew a lot about the curriculum. The classroom is very small and since there were so many people it was very hot. I ended up passing the final test with an 88%. I still have two more driving sessions to do until I can take my test for the provisional license. The PowerPoint presentation's they did were kind of outdated and had old statistical information on it I wish they would update it soon. Read Less

"Go to BEST forget the rest" - Harry I honestly enjoyed the two week class more than I thought I would have (probably everyone who attended the class felt the same way on the first day - ew class,right?) During the two week course I gained more knowledge about driving. (I thought I knew all the basics, but I was totally wrong) Within the days of class it went by quickly with full of entertaining laughs and feeling like we were all a big family. The lessons were easy to understand and having a review before every test helps out a lot. (especially if you have short term memory) I had Tony as the instructor for my two weeks and he is plain amazing. The instructors there seem to truly care and want the best for us, students. They also offer us to use their cars ($65) for the MVA driving test which they can also help us book an appointment for if we haven't already. For those looking to go into drivers Ed with some laughs while learning about things you don't know yet - go to BEST! You won't regret it. Read Less

I would love to rate this school however my son never attended it. NO ONE ever answers the phone, you are forced to leave a message. I left a total of 7 messages over the course of 3 weeks and finally received a return call today - a week after I left my last message. When I told the person I just spoke to about my situation, they didn't sound the least bit surprised. For the sake of Maryland drivers, I certainly hope they run their classrooms better than they run their offices. Read Less

The classroom was great, had fun with the instructor and part owner Mike, having said that when calling to schedule the driving lessons, the first one was easy and the instructor was good, 2nd time was alright even though I did receive a scream for not going fast enough, ok no problem. The final and last session, I pretty much received a lecture for wanting to finish up the driving session not having made an appointment with the MVA. I did get a date set so depending on how this last session goes I'll come back and update. Read Less

I decided to go to this school because it was next to the MVA, and had good reviews. I kind of doubted it could be that good based off of how crumby the other schools were and we figured this one would be the same. My opinions were changes on the first day when my teacher (Ken) taught us our first lesson. He was so enthusiastic and has such a love for his job and the overall well being, that I knew I was in good hands.he even brought us cupcakes for Christmas!! Bottom line is.. If you want your new driver to go to the BEST school. Come here! .. By the way, I passed my driving test the first attempt today!! Read Less

My daughter really loved going to Best. She was very nervous to get behind the wheel but after first time out with an instructor her confidence level zoom. She learned so much and past her drivers test on the first try. They even took her to MVA in their car and coached her right up until the tester got in the car. I am super impressed with the owners and instuctors of this school and have recommend them to my friends and neighbors. Their name says it all. they trully are the BEST!!! Read Less

Both my 2 sons and my daughter completed their driving training at Best and they are without a doubt THE BEST driving school in the area. My kids learned alot and really enjoyed the experience at the school. The instructors both classroom and in the car were great. They care about the kids and what they are learning.
