Zack Wathen is very fair and accurate. As for my experience it wasn't super smooth but they saved my records after a couple years hiatus which allowed me to avoid retaking the in-class session and proceed with the driving portion of the course. I had John as an instructor and he is highly recommended. In addition, the whole team offers a lot of encouragement, strategies and advice on how to successfully get your provisional license. Disregard all positive reviews because they were probably submitted by Starlinx. Starlinx driving school is unprofessional, rude, and disorganized. They will tell you anything to get your money and make it hard for you to get a refund or to finish the program. I signed up back in July, its now November. They schedule you for classes and cancel the same classes on you at a minutes notice. When you discuss the matter with the owner, they talk to you in some rude and condescending tone as if its your fault. I showed up for the 6 hours behind. the wheel training one Saturday and no one was there. As I waited and called, they sent some guy with his pants hanging half way off his butt to "evaluate" my driving, instead of teach me. Then they cancelled the following class. The driving school is a makeshift business hustle by a group of Africans who hire bilingual receptionists to get local, Spanish speaking new drivers to fall for their scam. Read Less

I signed up for 2 driving lessons 2 hours each. Both lessons ended at least 15 minutes early and the instructor during my second lesson was very inattentive. She spent the entire 2 hour lesson listening to music and playing with her phone. I found the whole experience to be rather unprofessional.Read Less

I wanted to add my four cents here.  My son took the course, which was ok. He went to take his driving test, waited a few hours, and when it was time for his test it turned out Starlinx hadn't sent the paperwork through to the DMV.  So, long wait but no test.  He had to go back a second time (and passed).Tip: Before you go to the DMV, make sure Starlinx has sent the paperwork through. Starlinx driving school is one of the best you can find in Maryland. The instructors are great , they make sure a student know and understand what he/she is learning as driving is concern. The truth is they are not interested in your money but rather making sure you pass your driving test and also you becoming a good and responsible driver . I'm surprise to hear such a review about Starlinx Driving School. As far as I know the instructors and the management of this school are highly professional individuals. Myself was fortunate to get direct tutoring from Mr. Charles. Since then I've referred a dozen of students to Starlinx and non have had a complaint .I know there are lot of competitors out there and I am sure the last review is personal and intended to dent the image of the school.
