It's honestly a miracle that I even got my license. The in class at this school wasn't too bad. The instructor made it so that you could grasp everything easily and made sure you knew everything by the end of each class. I passed with flying colors.Now the issue came with in cars. My first in car went pretty well, not too many issues but I could not stand my instructor for the life of me. She LOVED to grab the wheel, like I'm not going to crash the car but you grabbing will definitely increase the chances of that happening. Soon after that I had to leave for school which put me in the position of not being able to go back for the rest of my in cars as well as practice. So when I finally came back a year later for my 2nd in car, I admit I was rusty. At the end of the session I was told this wouldn't be counted and to just practice and schedule my last car which would be all or nothing. Later that day I got a call from the owner informing me that What instructor said was not true but that if i did well my last in car I would be fine, ok whatever. I got more practice and scheduled my last in car. The morning I came in I was told I had to pay a $35 fee for not coming in after a year (huh?) so you're telling me because of the fact that I was away at school I have to more on top of the $300+ I paid for classes + in car!? Ok whatever. The last in car went well but I had to ask to be taught how to two point reverse roundabout or whatever it's called (mind you when I asked my instructor during the second in car about the parking part of the test she said I had to learn from them; she didn't do my last in car the owner did and she said that wasn't even true, so their communication is shit, sorry). I didn't really learn anything and had to google It and learn more in depth that way. I understand driving school is not supposed to teach you how to drive but instead prepare and help you become a safer driver AND prepare for your test. I felt ill prepared and honestly I feel as though I wasted money ‍ I only passed my test by the grace of God. Do yourself a favor and go to Greg's or Astick. Haven't heard anything bad about them , you get what you pay for!!!!! Read Less

Low cost.  The in class was great and the instructor kept my interested. However the in car was bad instructor grabbed the wheel to avoid a pothole. That's super dangerous.  The office is not organized. Read Less

Im really glad I chose this driving school. The instructors are great, and my favorite was Johnathan. He was very patient, knowledgeable and taught me a lot. He made parallel parking extremely easy for me by teaching me techniques I will never forget. Same thing with reverse parking. I came to practice my parking at the school one time with a family friend. I saw Johnathan and went to ask him a quick question. He took his time to address my concerns, and didn't rush me off. He noticed I was having a bit of a hard time with my reverse parking and he came over to teach me a great technique even though I didn't have an appointment or anything. He gave me a lot of tips and helpful info that helped me pass my test on my first try. I highly recommend this driving school. Read Less

Having spent a couple of weeks researching different driving schools and asking other parents, we finally decided on Goodstart! Why? Because the price is unbeatable, every person I spoke to loved the staff and the Saturday morning free practice car park sessions were fantastic! Scheduling the in-cars were dealt with quickly even during after the snow disruption. We paid extra for a '10 hour driving lesson' package which was invaluable... They were great at teaching inside the classroom, but the in-cars were a pain. Scheduling took forever because they were unorganized. It took me 3 months to do 3 in-cars because they were "busy". My instructor sat on the phone for a good half hour before we started my first in-car. It was ridiculous.My last in-car was scheduled  between 2-4, but I told the lady I need to make it at 3. She said it was OK and that I can still do my in-car. So, I went to the school at 3, and my instructor lectured me about how I'm late and that she wouldn't be able to do my in-car. The in-cars are horribly unorganized, but the class was fine as far as I can tell. Read Less

My son attended Good Start Driving School in 2010 and he learned so much! He even taught me how to correctly parallel park and I've been driving for 26 years. The school has the most affordable price in the county but it's more than that. I wanted value and trust in the fact that he would gain valuable tools to be a SAFE driver...and he did! Read Less

The School was cheap i agree on that. The classroom environment was fun. The teachers made it look easy to learn. However, when it came for my time in the in car lessons that's when i view changed. Coming to the driving school i had no driving experience at all. My views of Driving was that they were suppose to teach you how to drive. When I told Mr. David that I had no driving experience, the entire class made fun of me by laughing even Mr. David was laughing so hard. They never taught me the basic of driving. All they wanted was to take me on the road and on 270. When i couldn't get the driving right, the lady who was teaching me how to driving started hitting me hard in the leg several times. I didn't have my permit when I first started classes but by the time I was finished, not only did I score a perfect on my permit test, I only missed 3 points on my road test! The instructors are soooo nice and sweet and funny, they made it a breeze in class and made me super comfortable on the road! It is a new driving school that has very good teachers. the the teacher really make you understand the laws of the road and relate to real life situation you will incounter. For me I think the the teachers are not boring, they have so excitement when they teach. The driving school its self is very neat and clean. And it is also one of the cheapest driving schools in upper Montgomery County. I am 15 and i can say that they dont make driving school as boring as it usually is. And also the classes dont have alot of students cramed in the class either. so that means more hands on teaching for the students. I really liked it. Read Less

I think that the Good Start Driving School is very good. The instrustors are very nice. The classrooms are not over crowded. Because I have my permit I was able to start my in-car driving after the 1st day of class. THe instructor have all the books and lessons that you will need to pass the DL's test. Read Less
