The general information on this school is misleading. There is no free pickup and delivery. The school in Berwyn Heights has 1 operational car which is not dual-controlled. They are running the MVA certified classes back to back however, clients are subjected to wait for more than 4 months for 6 hours of road work even though they are advised it will take up to 6- 8 weeks to get on the schedule. I took the class in August and am still waiting to get my road work done to schedule my driving test with the MVA. I will not recommend this school to anyone. You get what you pay for. The MVA needs to monitor the driving schools they certify to offer drivers ed. I will also lodge a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Read Less

When I finished the 2 weeks of driving school, i asked the instructor for my certificate saying that i completed driving school He said that They no longer give out certificates, the office electronically sends your information to the MVA and that there is nothing else to worry about. I went to schedule my driving test with the MVA and had to wait 2 months for the earliest appointment Finally 2 months later i go to take my test just to find out that the diriving school did not send my papers to the MVA as instructed. I call the driving school and inform them whats going on. They kept asking the same questions over and over and kept saying that they could not find my files. At this point i've already missed my driving test appointment. The office assured me that they will find my file, send it to the mva and call me as soon as they do. I did not hear from them in three days. When I called the office the lady said they had sent it over. Why was i not informed that it was sent over? Now the next test is not available for another month. Total waste of time and waste of $300. Read Less

I just finished my 30 hours in class portion with Brad, but haven't done the behind the wheel lessons yet. I was dreading going to drivers ed, everyone told me I would be bored to death. I actually found the class really interesting. Yeah, I knew most of the information already, but Brad, the instructor was probably the best teacher I have ever had. He was took the lessons very seriously, you can tell he really wants to make good drivers, but he was also VERY entertaining. He was able to keep my attention throughout the two week class. I was actually a little sad that today was the last class. I can't review the other teachers, but if you can get Brad, you will not be disappointed. Read Less

The school only has one room. I wouldn't really call it a school seeing as I didn't learn anything. I had Mr. Willis when I took the class and you really couldn't understand a word he said. He mumbles and answers phone calls during class. He also told all the students not to call the school about scheduling driving hours but I never received a call and had to make an appointment over a year after I took the course. The person who schedules the appointments is basically useless, she only is in on Wednesday afternoons and couldn't tell me if the school had called me or not. When doing the actual in car driving I also had Mr. Willis. He doesn't let you really do any of the driving yourself. First you have to drive some old car that you've never driven before which doesn't make much sense. Then when he tells you to get over into another lane he doesn't want you checking the mirrors yourself but expects you to just get over because he's done it for you. I doubt the MVA is checking to see if you can get over for you. He treats everyone like their at new driving and doesn't tell them where their going or what exit to get off at before the last minute. They obviously don't have enough drivers to take students because the students have to pick each other up during their driving. When I scheduled a 3:30-5:30pm driving time I wasn't expecting to get home around 7, that is unacceptable. Overall if your are going to use this poor excuse of a driving school take lessons from the other guy Mr. Brad and make sure you drive with him. Mr. Willis is insane and is very hard to understand. Mr. Willis shouldn't be teaching people how to drive if he doesn't let people drive the way they are comfortable or at least somewhat how they are used to. And if he's gotten in so many car accidents I don't understand why he is teaching students how to drive. Read Less

Blue Bird seems to be as good as other driving schools. However, don't expect driving schools to teach students to drive. They only teach "about driving." 25 years ago when my daughters took the Blue Bird Driving classes, they spent 10 hours learning about driving, 20 hours practicing on simulators and 6 hours behind the wheel. The fee included the booklet & they studied that as homework for class discussion. Now they have no simulators & only get to use the booklet in class. You must get your own booklet at MVA. Students must have a mentor to teach them to drive as the instuctors won't even schedule the behind the wheel 6 hours until someone else had spent 20 to 30 hours teaching them to drive. You should also get the booklet from MVA which teaches the mentor how to teach someone to drive. You have 18 weeks to teach the students to drive and practice 20 to 30 hours or must pay another fee for the BTW sessions with a Blue Bird instructor to receive the certificate required by DMV to become licensed. If I had known this up front, I won't be so disappointed about what the $350 fee included. Read Less
