Before my first session with Betty I was so afraid to be behind the wheel and dreaded driving!! After the end of the first session, I realized how fun driving really is!! She has a well laid out approach to teaching and perfecting each skill like lane changing, following signals, making turns, etc. And you will be confident that you are going to be a safe and great driver! I enjoy working with Good start staff from the beginning of the class until my last driving class. The stuff was friendly, easy to work with. Driving can be scary and frustrating at times but I was very comfortable in the presence of instructors. Their price is good and they make sure you understand even the little details that can make you fail your test. I recommend Good start to anyone who's in the process of getting his drivers license. Again thank you for your review yes we are a family-owned business so you will see toys around in our office. Also being connected to our ministry we are involved with our employees children. The second thing I want to address is the client came in last year for a driving improvement class for speeding he was told to keep his copy of the certificate, obviously he did not. When he returned back to the school it took 15 minutes for me to go into a box of files from last year that was clearly labeled 2016 D&A and Dip, and yes we do store away old files in boxes which small businesses do. it has nothing to do with clutter it has everything to do in which the attitude this young man spoke. In all we still received his paperwork within 15min. I'm sorry for your irresponsibility and pray that You you don't continue to believe you can can talk to people in that manner. To all future clients, we will always tell you to keep your documents for Dip class and take it to the MVA yourself. Though we will enter it, it is always best to take your copy to the MVA and keep it on hand until your court date. Good Start is a spectacular name for the daycare that it is. As soon as you walk in the first thing you notice is the massive amounts of toys and overall clutter that covers the floor and shelves. The second thing you notice is the complete and disgusting lack of organization. Their filing is atrocious and seemingly nonexistent. I paced around for an hour as they search with minimal effort for a single document that were kept in a box. When they did finally obtained my form they threw the others back in the unlabeled box and stacked it right along side several other unlabeled boxes. My overall experience was very unsatisfying. I don't really write reviews but I felt compelled to do so after learning from Mrs Betty.I started in short time less Than a month and before my learner permit expires and I have zero driving experience and zero confidence before.In couple hours Mrs Betty gave me all the tips I needed to pass my driving test and she worked with me so hard to get pack up parking right.She is nice and patient instructor.And it really made me feel comfortable when I was super nervous to be driving.I passed my behind the wheel test on my first attemptI highly recommend Good start driving school Read Less

Im really glad I chose this driving school. The instructors are great, and my favorite was Johnathan. He was very patient, knowledgeable and taught me a lot. He made parallel parking extremely easy for me by teaching me techniques I will never forget. Same thing with reverse parking. I came to practice my parking at the school one time with a family friend. I saw Johnathan and went to ask him a quick question. He took his time to address my concerns, and didn't rush me off. He noticed I was having a bit of a hard time with my reverse parking and he came over to teach me a great technique even though I didn't have an appointment or anything. He gave me a lot of tips and helpful info that helped me pass my test on my first try. I highly recommend this driving school. Read Less

Having spent a couple of weeks researching different driving schools and asking other parents, we finally decided on Goodstart! Why? Because the price is unbeatable, every person I spoke to loved the staff and the Saturday morning free practice car park sessions were fantastic! Scheduling the in-cars were dealt with quickly even during after the snow disruption. We paid extra for a '10 hour driving lesson' package which was invaluable... My daughter passed first time at 16 and it's all thanks to great staff and instructors at Goodstart! Read Less

They were great at teaching inside the classroom, but the in-cars were a pain. Scheduling took forever because they were unorganized. It took me 3 months to do 3 in-cars because they were "busy". My instructor sat on the phone for a good half hour before we started my first in-car. It was ridiculous.My last in-car was scheduled  between 2-4, but I told the lady I need to make it at 3. She said it was OK and that I can still do my in-car. So, I went to the school at 3, and my instructor lectured me about how I'm late and that she wouldn't be able to do my in-car. The in-cars are horribly unorganized, but the class was fine as far as I can tell. Read Less

My son attended Good Start Driving School in 2010 and he learned so much! He even taught me how to correctly parallel park and I've been driving for 26 years. The school has the most affordable price in the county but it's more than that. I wanted value and trust in the fact that he would gain valuable tools to be a SAFE driver...and he did! Read Less

The School was cheap i agree on that. The classroom environment was fun. The teachers made it look easy to learn. However, when it came for my time in the in car lessons that's when i view changed. Coming to the driving school i had no driving experience at all. My views of Driving was that they were suppose to teach you how to drive. When I told Mr. David that I had no driving experience, the entire class made fun of me by laughing even Mr. David was laughing so hard. They never taught me the basic of driving. All they wanted was to take me on the road and on 270. When i couldn't get the driving right, the lady who was teaching me how to driving started hitting me hard in the leg several times. I just want to say a HUGE "THANK YOU" to GSDS... I didn't have my permit when I first started classes but by the time I was finished, not only did I score a perfect on my permit test, I only missed 3 points on my road test! The instructors are soooo nice and sweet and funny, they made it a breeze in class and made me super comfortable on the road!
