I have to say this store gets a rating of terrible in my case of attempting to shop there. I went to the Seigon lane store to buy items for my new AR 15. As Academy sells both fire arms and accessories as well as ammo. Prior to entering the store I made every attempt to find there fire arm policy as should be posted on the store front window letting customers know if and how a fire arm can be taken into the store. No such instructions are posted. I had with me my AR 15 unloaded and hanging off my back pointed down in the conventional non get ready posture as not to concern anyone. Once entering the store the lady in front reacted in shock I had a fire arm and told me I couldn't bring my fire arm into the store. I simply said ok and was going to leave when another employee corrected her and said I could but had to be escorted to the fire arms and fire arm components area. I waited nearly 5 minutes for some one to escort me and was met by a very nice young man who began to escort me to the correct department.. As we neared the fire arms department another manager turned in shock and approached me well inside my comfort zone and told me I couldn't have my fire arm in the store. I explained that this matter had already been addressed and that I was simply trying to buy some items they sell for my particular gun. The manager then again in a very aggressive manor loudly repeated I must hand my fire arm over to the associate NOW. I explained tot he store manager that I had been harassed every since I walked into the store and was no longer interested in shopping at Academy. She then stood in front of my and repeated I must hand my fire arm over to the associate who escorted me to the back of the store or she was going to call security. I then and for the first time in a stern voice explained to the manager that I was leaving and that I was not handing my fire arm over to anyone and asked her to move. She moved and I left the store. In short Academy's lack of instructions to its customer prior to entering the store with a fire arm and the obviously very poor training on Academy's policy " IF THEY EVEN HAVE ONE "with all 3 employees I encountered caused a increased panic and heightened level of anxiety through out the store. I will never shop at Academy again and suggest that anyone who chooses to do any fire arm business beware of the stores conflicting and confusing way of handling customers with fire arms simply looking to buy items that fit there personal fire arm. I also suggest that anyone who appreciates the liberties we in this country have as to fire arms in general consider this Academy's willingness to sell fire arms, ammunition, and accessories to customer while at the same time treat those who have a fire arm with such hostility and a general apposition to fire arms. Academy decide and then train your staff on where you stand with personal fire arms and make it clear so that others do not have to go through what I did. Read Less

My experience with this company was terrible. They were very quick and friendly when signing my daughter up for the class and taking my money. After she completed her classroom course, I did not hear from them for 4 months. I called repeatedly trying to find out when they would take her driving but they NEVER answered the phone then and NEVER returned phone calls. I went to the office twice to check. The first time the receptionist said she would check on it and get back with me and i never heard from her. The second time i went the office was locked up. I finally had to track down one of the driving instructors myself. I have to say the man who finally took her drive was very helpful. But overall this was a very bad experience and i wouldn't recommend them to anyone Read Less

I didn't know which driving school to choose for my 17 year old. I checked out the program on their internet site and it looked good, so I signed him up. It was a great choice because the school was very convenient to I-10 and the teachers were excellent. They really went "the extra mile" in working with my 17 year old! Read Less
