My daughter got her Restricted License through Wichita Driving School 2 years ago. It was very convenient. It took about a month for her to complete the course. The class was on a Saturday and they called us to set up driving lessons about 2 weeks after the class. Since she was experienced and already had her learners permit at the DMV we drove two 3 hour lessons to complete the course. She drove residential, city, country, interstate, downtown, and did various types of parking. The advantage of Wichita Driving School, is they have a class every Saturday during the school year and 2 per week (during the work week) in the summer. I don't have experience with any other driving school, but I have enough about this one to know tell you why you should avoid this company.My son is 14, and has already taken and passed the written exam for the Kansas Graduated Driver's License Learner's Permit. When I asked this company if my son needed to take Driver's Education to get this permit, I was told TWICE that Driver's Education was REQUIRED, to get your license. If you read the information on the Kansas Department of Revenue's website at ksrevenue.org/dmvgdl.html, it clearly states that an individual must pass a vision and written test, OR have a certificate from a Driving School. Obviously, Driving School is NOT REQUIRED. Suspiciously, this Kansas Department of Revenue web page link is not on Wichita Driving School's list of "Favorite Links"Maybe Wichita Driving School, Inc. is unaware of the real Kansas Department of Revenue requirements, or they have purposefully misrepresented them. Either way, it's a good reason to look somewhere else for your child's Driver's Education training. Read Less

In have known one of the co-owners of this school, Mr. Taylor, for 29 years. He has been very professional and a perfectionist at everything he does. He CARES about kids and about teaching them to drive SAFELY. I personally feel that he would be the standard by which to measure the profession. The facilities will be clean and safe, the instruction will be smart and clear, and he will strive to make your son or daughter a great driver. As a father of a son and a daughter, I would encourage other parents to entrust Mr. Taylor with their children's driving instruction. I have been trained professionally to drive for the US Government, and I can faithfully say with 100% confidence, that Mr. Taylor's instruction and/or his school is top notch. Read Less
