I am writing this review because I used the positive reviews to select this school. This school did exactly as they said they would do. The instructors taught me the basic skills I needed to pass my CDL test. I had my struggles but the staff worked together to fine tune my skills and I was able to pass the test. I was able to take the test in the truck I learned to drive in. This is big! Every truck is different and I felt very comfortable in this truck. The instructors really care that you pass and will be a safe driver. Well worth the investment. I highly endorse this school! I am interviewing today with the company that I targeted from day one. I just graduated this week. We were told at the beginning, if we gave 100% to learning, they would give 100% to us. They kept their word. The instructors were demanding, which was good; exactly what I needed. I struggled with some things but they did everything possible to help me succeed. This is a great school. I passed the cdl test the first time I took it thanks to the excellent training provided by all the instructors. One of the greatest skills they teach is the ability to problem solve, cause trucking ain't always pretty. Sergio and Ricky are the instructors in the yard, and teach you all the backing maneuvers needed for the cdl exam. They are a wealth of knowledge about trucking in general, and they both have incredible patience. (For realz) Mickey and... James are the road instructors, and both are excellent in their training skills. Mickey was the instructor I was assigned, and I can't say enough great things about him. I had a frustrating day, and he would NOT let me give up...period. We worked through it, and it made me stronger because of that. Women are beginning to enter trucking at a faster rate than in the past, and are finding that this is such a great investment in their future. There were quite a few women in school with me. When I was there it averaged about one a week. That was unexpectedly awesome. In no other career are you guaranteed to find work right out of school, and high paying work to boot. I had a great job waiting for me, and keep getting other offers daily. Apex pledges to continue to help with job placement well after your graduation, because now your family. And I believe them.
