I took the 6 hour classroom for 18-20 year olds with Tom. I then got my permit and took 6 hours of behind the wheel with him as well. He was stern with me when I made mistakes, which I believe necessary when learning, but not outright aggressive.Despite the other reviews he was patient with me and offered me solid advice and encouragement. I think we got along well. He helped relieve my anxiety of driving drastically. In addition to this he believed I was ready for the road test at the DMV. He took me there himself for my 4th and final session, and allowed me to use his car for the test. We ran into a problem at the DMV with paperwork, but we managed to get it fixed quickly and take the test. Thankfully I was able to pass and get my license due to his assistance. Such a great experience for my son! He got into the car with Instructor Tom a little nervous and came back 2 hours later a very confident driver. He's been driving almost a year now and still quotes Tom's inspirational tricks of the road. Can't recommend Tom and Palos Driving School of Riverside highly enough.
