Great school really like it. Luis help me very much to get my driver license showed me all the things I needed to know while driving. He is a really great person to be with he has a lot of experience in driving and you can gain confidence with him teaching you. Also, the person at the desk Liz she is really helpful explains very well all the documents that you need to be ready to get your permit or even to get your drivers licenses. Mr. Mario was more then just a drivers ed teacher, he made me feel comfortable and not get nervous on the road. The program taught me so much, Mario was straight forward and a completely honest person. Great staff, Liz did a great job as well, very respectful and professional! She kept me up to date and would keep me organized. I highly recommend taking Acapulco Driving School, regardless if you need the whole drivers license process or even behind the wheel classes. Great teacher, always stayed consistent in what he was teaching me and would give constructive criticism but at the same time would always give me credit when I did something right. He taught me what I needed for the test and I was able to pass with help from him and some help from my mom. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to really learn how to drive and want someone who has patience. Read Less

I really enjoyed driving with Mario, he is very patient, and polite he teaches you everything you need to know if you do something wrong he tells you in a nice way. There's a no refund policy for a reason here so you can't ask for your money back since the driving instructor is awful. The driving instructor likes to spend his time on the phone talking to friends and family and will have you drive to a restaurant so he can pick up his lunch. Come here if you want an instructor who will yell at you and insult you if you don't already know how to drive. This guy doesn't teach you anything and is more like a lazy passenger. I'm very ecstatic I obtained my driver's license with the help of Acapulco Driving School. I will definitely recommend this school to anyone who needs to learn how to drive and obtain their permit or license. I'm very pleased I register at this driving school. If I can give Acapulco Driving School more than 5 stars I definitely would. I was very impress with the whole process. When I first came to register Lizandra was very professional, polite, kind and on point on explaining the step by step on obtaining my license. I was never mislead with the information provided to me. I totally felt welcomed. Once I started taking my driving lessons the instructor Luis Mario he makes you feel comfortable. He is an outstanding professional on instructing you the rules of the road and how to be a safe driver. He is very patient if you don't understand what is being instructed he will do his best on explaining it again so you can fully understand. He gave me a lot of confidence on maneuvering and taking control of the wheel. One of the many things I like about this driving school is that Luis Mario teaches you how to drive on the expressway. It is not mandatory for the driving test but is something one can learn for our own benefit. He also reassures we will be driving safe before taking us for a driving test. Acapulco Driving School not only helps you throughout the whole process of obtaining your license but they also help those people who are not competent on reading and writing to pass their written test efficiently.  Overall I am very pleased, their service was beyond great. First off, I'd like to say Acapulco Driving School is great! Luis Mario and his wife were polite and professional. He made sure that I was more than ready for the driving exam. Luis Mario is so patient! I was scared at first but he's a super nice guy. Would totally recommend this to anyone interested in learning how to drive! If zero were an option that is what I would choose. One, only one instructor. Yes he tries to make you comfortable but I found him to be very unprofessional. Radio on, eats and basically was on his phone and having conversations the entire time on my first trip out. Had me run errands for him too,  had me pull over so he can meet up a relative to hand them something. What kind of an instructor does that? How is that suppose to make me or anyone else feel comfortable. Not professional in my eyes. On my second trip out he didn't make me feel secure and I felt like I was being ridiculed when I made a mistake. I knew at that point I was done. I have one more class but I am opting out  and going somewhere else. I know, we will not get our money back but at this point I am okay with it.  How am I suppose to learn from someone who can't even offer tips or techniques to help me grasp driving better. His wife, in the office, i have no ill feelings towards but she just comes off as sort of, why am I here attitude, like she is bored. I asked her if there were other instructors and she told me there was but they never come back. Surprise, surprise. She and her husband basically teach the driver's ed classes there which is mind blowing to me. I chose this school for convenience to where I live. This place is a nightmare! My husband decided to go here to get his license...Big mistake. I agree with a previous reviewer, the lady who works in the office is rude. On the first day of his lesson his instructor took him on the expressway....in the pouring rain! You don't do that to someone who is already apprehensive about driving. Then the instructor was on his phone the majority of the time. My husband finally asked him to hang up & teach him. Yes, I could have taken him out myself but I felt that a driving school would have been more professional, more helpful. Sadly this was wasted money. I would never recommended this school to anyone. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The girl that answers the phone has a chip on her shoulder, she's very rude and has no type of customer service skills. She did not care to accommodate us in any fashion. My teenager unfortunately went there for his 6 hrs of behind the wheel. First off, we paid more like $365. Second, My son only needed 3 classes but for some reason the school spread it out and he ended up doing the 3 classes (6 hrs) in a month and a half because the school only has one instructor and it doesn't seem like they're willing to stay open longer or open earlier to accommodate everyone's hours. Third, my husband and son stopped by during business hours to drop off paperwork but no one came to the door. Lights were on but the door was locked!! I called this place multiple times to find out why it was taking so long for my son to finally take his last class and test... After about 7-8 calls again during regular "business hours" I left a message. The rude chick calls me back with an attitude. We finally schedule his last class. The day of his test the school cancels last after my son had already taken off school to accommodate the schools hours!!! The school was claiming we didn't turn in some paperwork and therefore could not take him to the DMV that day, we would have to reschedule! I called bullshit on the whole thing, left work and took my son myself to the dmv to take his test. We were there for a total of 40 min. My son walked out of there with his license. This school is a nightmare, I regret spending the money there. They are liars, lazy and rude. Read Less

This place is absolutely great, with only taking two classes Luis Mario fully prepared me to take the drivers test the next day. Every one there was very nice, and I only paid $300. As to the previous review, Luis Mario is a great guy, every time we were on the road he gave me (and I'm sure others too) such high confidence, believing in us and knowing we'd pass the test. As for the "difficulty understanding his accent" me also being Spanish, had no problem understanding him as he would switch from English to Spanish constantly and one of my classmates who is white, and knows no spanish at all, that took the test the same day as me and passed with flying colors. In my eyes if you really want to stop being chauffeured by your parents/guardian and start driving by yourself, suck up any pessimism you have and get your license here. Read Less

I still successfully got my license on the first try and I believe the instructor (Luis Mario) prepared me for the driving test. However, the instructor is very unprofessional and was often cursing on the phone in spanish while we were driving around. He is also homophobic and has an old-school macho puerto rican attitude (he made it a point to say what he was-- even beating his chest like a gorilla "Yo so Boricua!") Yeah whatever I don't care what you are just teach me. He has an accent so it can be difficult to understand if you don't speak spanish.The driving school itself I don't think is very flexible in hours- seeing they only have one instructor. They will reschedule your times if you call ahead though. The price was reasonable at $300 for 3 lessons of 6hrs behind the wheel. They also expect you to pay upfront and there is no refunds so be sure they can accommodate your hours BEFORE handing them the money! Read Less
