My experience at A-1 Driving school was great. My instructor Mr. Frank Fowler, was extremely informative on every subject covered. Mr. Fowler made it fun an interesting, in a class I thought I would dread. The experiences Mr. Fowler shared with us about safe driving, made we want to be a better driver, he offers real situations that stress the importance of safe driving. This school is awesome. Our class teacher, Mr.Fowler was an incredible and very laid-back teacher. He taught us everything thing in detail, he even added some of his own experiences to help us understand the seriousness in driving of what to do and what not to do. He was very respectful of his students and even gave us 15 minute breaks in the morning and 15 minute breaks in the afternoon to let us relax before getting back into the lessons. Read Less

Taking a plea deal to a speeding offense at court, I was required to enlist in Defensive Driving Course. After careful research, I found out that the A-1 DUI & Defensive Driving School was state certified and had amazing reviews. I wasn't too excited to spend $95 for a two day course lasting 3 hours each, but I decided to give it a go. (Keep it mind you have a choice of doing 3 hour course each for two days or one time 6 hour course on weekend. Their schedule is quite flexible).Once I showed up in class, I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm and humor displayed by my instructor, Darryl. He made the whole experience actually a bit enjoyable as he stressed key knowledge that was actually practical and important in or day to day driving situations. What is great is that he really interacted with all of the students. He made sure to ask questions to keep us engaged and incorporated his humor to get through the boring parts.At the end of it all, we took a 20 question quiz which the whole class passed with ease as Darryl did a great job teaching the course. After the whole ordeal, I received the copy of the certificate of completion by email the next day. The only thing that misses the mark of a 5 star review is its quite limited parking space that can make it a hassle especially when you can get locked out if you are late.
