I just graduated from this school 3 days ago and had already passed my test to get my CDL license at the DDS in Jackson, Ga(thats where the school sent me to get my Class A license). I just want to tell everyone from my experience is that when you go to this school DON'T expect to learn everything in 3 weeks. That's what happened to me but it took me longer. When you get past the first week in class, then the REAL training begins. That would be week 2. By training, I mean learning how to practice doing maneuvers out in the truck yard and learning key components on the truck that's vital to doing a pre-inspection as a truck driver. And there is week 3 of being on the road. The first day is always the hardest day but by the end of the week you should get used to driving a tractor trailer. I STRONGLY advise to every new student to TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS YOU NEED to learn this stuff. Do another couple of weeks to practice in the truck yard if you have to. I have been at the school for 2 months now and I now understand everything there is to know about trucks and how they operate thanks to the instructors that helped me. Don't even bother about the bad reviews being posted. I'm DEFINITELY proof that you can succeed at this school like everyone else and not just up and quit like some people who used to go to this school. To be honest, this school is what you make of it. It was kinda tough for me at first. I almost wanted to drop out but after I paid all that money to go to this school, I refused to quit and never give up and look where it got me. My experience at America's driving force was terrible and I wish I never went there. This school accepts way too many people on a weekly basis, at one time there was over 25 students on the range. Not enough time in the trucks and most of trainers were very rude. The trucks in the yard were old and half the time not working. The trucks at the DMV was old trucks from the 80s that we never practiced in over the road.Two times the truck was not working at the DMV and the wait time to test again was way too long. This time last year, I walked into the office to sign up for class scared not knowing what to expect. I addressed my concerns with Mr. David who told me not to be scared and let us teach you. I did just that. I am now a intermodal driver with j b hunt. I want to say thank you to the staff and instructors for all the support. Thank you! The instructors are all great. That guy Johnson that runs the place is a charactor. He told me everything I needed to hear when he wanted my money. From the 1st day of class on, he was a prick. Very unprofessional and racist. If the owner would boot him out of there, the tension and drama would disappear. He acts like he is the owner but I been doing some digging. He owns nothing, not even close to it. He's apparently the goofy do-boy that lucked up one day in the trailor park. Now he thinks he is the"big wig" of trucking. So far I have found out that the place hasn't been CVTA certified in years, altgough they sell it like they are. I will post all of the documents I have ran up with. Its UNBELIEVABLE. low price and lower quality, totally waste of time and money. First week in classroom, and you can do it much better if you spend 1-2 days at home, the instructor can not answer real question but reading something. The second week in yard,the first day I waited a whole morning for 10-15 min on truck and instructor kicked me out because he felt I spent too much time. They do insulting rather than teaching. It is too late when you find this because they force you sign non-refund contract. very disappointed.also, they can not deny the fact that 15 students took test last week, 12 of them are re-test, you can calculate the passing rate. I am a graduate of America's Driving Force from 2001. I am glad I went to this school because I learned alot. The things the instructors have helped me in my career. I love driving and I wish I had done this 20 years earlier. I am making the money they told me I would make. I have now moved up to another level to owning my own truck. This means more money for me. Every time I see the big yellow and black trucks I honky my horn and blow a kiss. I recommend America's Driving Force to everyone.
