We used Excel for our daughter's drivers ed. The class room time (according to our daughter) was fun and entertaining while learning. Behind the wheel time (BTW) is so convenient because they pick your child up and drop them off at your home. I never liked the idea of my kids being in the car while someone else's child was learning to drive (personal preference) so this is why I didn't do drivers ed through the school. Excel's 6 hours on the road training was one on one with ...an instructor. Our daughter learned more from them in a week than she did from me in a year. The first day she drove with The male instructor and I have to admit I questioned this and was worried. He was wonderful. He made her feel at ease and was very professional. She finished out the other two days with the owner (Angel) and I was shocked how much her driving improved. When the class and BTW training was over she was able to take her road test through Excel. This allowed us to just take her paper work to the DMV and pick up her license. It was such an easy process. The classroom was amazing and very interactive, and the driving hours were very flexible. I was able to get my sessions done in less than a month. I think the people leaving poor reviews just were not patient. This was the best alternative to taking drivers ed in a public school. Read Less

I loved this school!! At first I wasn't sure about it, cause sitting in a classroom for 6 hours doesn't seem like a fun time, but the teacher, Ms. Brooks made it so much fun and entertaining! They taught me all I needed to know and answered all my questions and made sure that I understood everything. I waited to schedule my driving lessons, so they were packed, but once they had free days, I made sure to schedule a lesson for 3 days with no problem. The best part is that they were able to pick me up from my house and also take me home afterwards since my parents work and were unable to drive me to their office. My instructor made me feel very comfortable and I have never felt more safe driving! He made sure I understood everything for my test. Once I took my test, my examiner, Ms. Angel was so nice and made me feel really comfortable as well! Afterwards she made sure how I felt about the test and told me what I needed to fix! I passed feeling great with my driving! Overall a really good experience and my family doesn't regret the money spent on this school!Read Less

I should have listened to the reviews that were posted and sent my daughter somewhere else for drivers education. The classroom time was great. She really enjoyed the instructor. She was very lively and kept the attention of her students. But it has been extremely frustrating to schedule drives. The calendar is always full and they never have any slots available to book the drive. What good does it do to have classroom time but not actually be allowed to apply what they've learned behind the wheel? If I have already paid for the class, my expectation is to get what I paid for. You can't get in touch with them so you always have to leave a message or send an e-mail. I will never recommend this school to anyone because the follow through and customer service is poor. Excel Driving School was a great experience for my daughter! She enjoyed the classroom teacher and driving instructors. The classroom teacher kept the material very interesting and lively! My daughter had 3 different driving instructors. So she got to experience 3 different perspectives on her driving abilities. We live in the Buford City School District and the driving teachers were very accommodating meeting us 1/2 way for the driving lessons!
