The classroom instructors at the National School are awesome. They helped us learn the control skills and gave us a lot of valuable on-road tips. Also, the driving instructors taught us a lot of safety skills which my friends said was very rare. Overall it was a great experience, was totally worth the money and time spent. One word, Amazing. It took me a month and a half to get my CDL. Great staff, great instructors. You won't need to go anywhere else to get your CDL. They prepare you well for all your tests and assist you patiently with any questions you might have. I enjoyed the school but didn't care for being lied to about being under contract. I was stuck in my contract with Cr England witch is the lowest paying and most corrupt in the industry from what I've seen and been told. The contract isn't valid till you are hired with any company. Cr England will start your pay at 14 cent per mile when others start much higher. You starve and basicly pay to live in a truck for 6 to 9 months. As for the school itself, the instructions are ok and learning on older trucks was actually a big help when getting into newer trucks. The track was nice to learn the shift patterns. Instructors make it so easy to understand the operation and mechanics of each machine and explain the process the machines play a role in.
