This Man Rick, that is a so called, owner/instructor, of this course is extremely unprofessional and uses vulgar language to belittle his students. I have no problem with people teaching a course in a tuff manner, to be safe on the road ways. You should take responsibility for his own actions. The bikes he provides are not even in good condition, throttle sticks, handlebars aren't stable, etc . He is very short tempered. He demands respect from everyone, without respecting the students. Be prepared to get kicked off of the course, with profanity, for not getting something right that he tells you to do. The man has no patience. When you ask him a question he yells at you, and blames it on the student for not paying attention. I'm sure he forgets what he told you to do, due to the fact, he's on the phone 90% of the time. He even called the government about the conspiracy theory, stating they are poisoning all, Because the planes in the sky were leaving a white gas trail. If you do any little thing wrong and get on his bad side, your done for. It's a 2 day course he passed my family member 1st day, passed the online course and the written course on the second day, but failed ( actually kicked him of the course) on second day for the riding test. Said he could take the second day over, call to set up the second day, he lied to us and stated he failed both riding days. So he took the first day over, on a Thursday, told to call later that day.We did what he instructed. Called no answer, texted no reply and left message no response. Then, tried calling again on Saturday, after no response. I decided to use my husband's phone, WOW, He answers right away, was polite, but very short with me. I finally got the time for Sunday. He only had three students on Sunday, as I know he kicked two of them off, I was watching and was there that day. Because of his short temper he told my family member, he can't help him. We are out $260, for the course and $200. For the workday missed, because this person can't communicate well with others. Again, We want a no confrontation whatsoever to make it worse on everybody, We kept our mouth shut, we were all very, very polite and respectful to this man. We acted this way to try not to hinder anything, in getting the endorsement we needed. Everybody behaved well towards him. These students do not need to be treated like this and when they are treated like this they make more mistakes.. Thank you Mr Rick for crushing the dreams of a young man's desire to have a motorcycle license. You won, he no longer wants to ride. FYI this young man has been riding recreational vehicles since he was four, He just never rode a motorcycle. WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO CHOICE RIDERS NOR WILL WE RECOMMEND THEM. Just took and passed this class (Thurs/Fri). Totally recommend. None of the bad "issues" in other reviews. As an instructor of different government type of classes I can appreciate these guys. Their job is safety, proficiency and to help you pass the test. Plain and simple. Come in with right attitude, pay attention, do the work, done. They (Rick and Brian) spent time explaining, teaching, demonstrating and correcting - all with out attitude (they don't hold your hand nor sho...uld they ...). The riding portion was organized and planned. The classroom (while hot) was pretty straight forward. All the sob stories of being late and being rejected, did't pass the class having trouble rescheduling, etc... don't be late, once the lesson starts it's a government regulated class, they have to follow the rules. Having to reschedule, (again regulated class), $200 x 10 people = $2,000. Instructor time, lease, insurance, etc, as a business owner don't even know how these guys make money. Weekends are more $, you do the math. This might sound like an endorsement, it's not... but I now have my motorcycle "endorsement" because of these guys.
