My daughter used the Fresh Green Light driving program in preparation to getting her CT driver's license and it was incredibly helpful. The classroom sessions were relevant and interesting and the driving sessions were particularly helpful. In addition the program has flexible scheduling to accommodate busy schedules such as summer jobs or school coursework. Read Less

Waist of time. There are never any class times available and bad customer service. My daughter ended up getting her license 2 months after she was scheduled to because of the lack of classes. Do not pay for this. If I had my life to relive I would not even have my daughter do this for free. Read Less

This is an amazing driving school.  They really understand teens and all the pressure that they are under.  They are warm, flexible and understanding.  Our daughter's primary instructor, Peggy in Wilton is an an incredible instructor.  She had made herself available to all of her students and patiently addresses their questions and concerns.  My daughter faced many challenges and passed her driving test the first time.  This was no easy feat.  I would highly recommend this program do to the exceptional instruction and flexibility. Could not have wished for a better driver's ed program for my son.  The flexibility to be able to take classes in different towns was great, as was the ability to choose where the driving lessons took place.  His primary instructor, Peggy, was really wonderful and I'm happy to say my son is a great driver and passed his test the first time. Fresh Green Light was a great driving school experience. Liked the flexible class schedule -- my son was enrolled in Wilton but took 2 classes in Westport that fit his schedule better. And the instructors were terrific, especially Peggy. She knows how to talk to 16 year olds, and taught my son more than just driving basics. Read Less

Fresh Green Light is an exemplary driving school, though not cheap (it's worth it).  For in car lessons (excellent teachers) your teen can be picked up or dropped off pretty much anywhere (school, home, etc).  The classroom sessions are easy to schedule and you can even have your teen take the road test at FGL. They very effectively taught  my two teens who are now safely driving about.  And, the people who work there are not only well qualified, but really nice.  (Parents, you have to do your part too though- practice, practice, practice). I agree with the earlier comment. They seem to only have two instructors and they are only available at 12:45 during the week. In fact the business on Heights Road isn't even open till late in the afternoon. For the money I felt they could have been way more helpful. Read Less

I've updated me original review to from 1 star to 3 stars. I first rated Fresh Green Light as 1-star because I felt completely misled as to how available their driving instructors were. I've upgraded to 3 stars because my daughter has now been through 10 classroom sessions and 3 driving lessons (in the car), and the quality of instruction has been excellent.Here's what happened - when I signed up for the 30+8 package, Fresh Green Light told me they weren't able to schedule driving instruction for 3 weeks. I thought that would be okay, but after I paid and could actually see the specifics online of when the lessons were available, I found that they were available only at 12:45 pm on weekdays! (These lessons are for my 16-year old who, of course, attends high school during the day.) The first lesson they had available that wasn't during school hours was more than 2.5 months in the future--and there was just one lesson available, on a day of the week that doesn't work for us! I called to complain, and their response was that they were trying to hire more instructors.  When I signed up, I was clear that the lessons were for my teenage daughter. For the lady on the phone to tell me they had lessons available in 3 weeks was disingenuous. Be careful if you deal with this company. I feel very misled by Fresh Green Light!Here's the update. My daughter has now been through more than half the classes that Fresh Green Light offers in the classroom, and those have been excellent. She's taken classes both in Darien and in Fairfield (because Fairfield has Saturday sessions and Darien doesn't). Both instructors have been top-notch.Also, I've now been able to schedule all the driving lessons (the ones in their car). Three lessons opened up in Darien (within 2 months of our signing up with Fresh Green Light). And then, we were able to schedule the other 3 lessons in Westport. The Westport lessons are inconvenient (had to cancel piano lesson in order to do it), but they were the only 3 times available, so we felt we had better take them. I've also heard that Fresh Green Light has a lot of cancellations, so if you are willing to call them every day to check for cancelled lessons, you can do better. For some reason, they have more availability when you call them than what they post online, so it's not sufficient to check online.My daughter has had 3 driving lessons (in the car) so far, and she's felt very good about the instruction. Our experience at Fresh Green Light could not have been better. Registration was easy, there was a great deal of flexibility with scheduling classes, the staff could not have been more professional and supportive, and the facility was top notch.
