I had an excellent experience with Excel In Driving. The instructors are very polite and teach you everything step by step. Scott took my driving test and gave me a good and honest feedback on the minimal mistakes I needed to improve on. I had never driven a car before in India and it seemed very difficult for me to learn driving being a newbie until I took a good driving session with Caroline. Thank you very much Caroline, Scott and dick. You guys made the experience of learning driving really easy and safe for me. I scheduled my driving course and test at 3:30pm. Dick called me at 3:30 and said he will be late and he's gonna arrive at 4:15. I was fine and I waited, but he didn't show up. I called Dick at 4:45, which is one and a half hour later than schedule time, and he finally picked up the phone. He kept saying he will be late, but he can't give me a specific time. He DIDN'T SAY SORRY for being late and instead he said he would go home and cancel the course today. He's really RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! Well, if anyone expect late/no show without an apology, go for Excel in Driving. Read Less

When I first called to schedule my behind the wheel training the guy I talked to was very nice. When I actually took my lesson, the instructor carol was so rude. She was yelling at me and always grabbing the wheel. She was yelling at me every time I did something she did not like. I don't know how you expect someone to become comfortable behind the wheel when you yell at them like that. I immediately cancelled the rest of my lessons after that. Read Less

I've had great experiences with Excel in Driving for both of my kids. I find that their prices are affordable and they have quality instruction. I took a chance with Excel when it was time for my first kid to start driving as their aren't a lot of reviews and the location was not convenient, but after talking to the owner I signed him up for the 4 day classroom instruction. My son liked the instruction, and instructors, and absorbed a lot of knowledge. The written test was also administered on the 4th day of class and he passed. We were given the certificate for passing the written test and went to the DMV to get his permit and had no problems.  Excel provided the 6 hours of instructor lead driving broken up into 2 hour increments, which was based on the package I chose, and came to our house to pick my son up for his sessions with the last 2 hour session being the driving test. The last session was conducted after we had collected enough driving hours and were close to meeting full license criteria. After passing the driving test we were provided with the certificate and took it to DMW and got his unrestricted license via snail mail. Simple.  Recently, my daughter was of age to start this process and even though a driver's ed company opened up just 10 minutes away I still chose to drive the 30 minutes to Excel and I'm happy I did. She passed her written and is now accumulating the driving hours.  I'm definitely NOT having any more kids.....but if I did, I would take them here for their driver's ed. Read Less

I recently moved to CO from NYC and had to learn how to drive for the first time as a 30 something year old.  I found Excel driving via Yelp.  Their pricing for three 2-hour lessons was a bit cheaper than their competitors but what set them apart was that they came to pick me up for my driving lesson for free when most places were charging $20 each way.  I had Dick as my instructor and Desiree (who was learning to be an instructor sitting in the back).  Dick offered a lot of excellent driving advice.  He had a way to give you tips and instructions without interfering with your focus while driving.  He gave me confidence and the know-how to take the driving test after my three lessons.  The ONLY thing that I didn't like was the fact that both of their cars were really dirty on in the inside.  There was just dander everywhere!  I would still recommend them to anyone learning how to drive. I sent my daughter here for the written test classroom prep and driving package. They were very thorough and prepped her well for the test. When circumstances caused us to not turn in our voucher in time, they were very accommodating in helping us get a new test voucher, saving us a ton of time at the DMV. During the driving lessons, they have been patience and again explained everything in detail. We're very happy with Excel! Read Less

This school is awesome, the tutors take care so much. I know nothing when it comes to driving even if its a cycle. My instructor Carolyn was awesome and gem of person, she ll be building in confidence in you so much that you hardly feel that u are under pressure. Her way of correcting mistakes was really good and makes me correct them without feeling bad. It was a piece of cake.  Really good training and worth the cost.I just love her so much. Though it took couple of classes more than it would for me it might not be the case for all as I was zero even to drive cycle. Dick was fun to work with too. I was able to crack test very first time. I happily write this review as I completed my test today. All folks who wanna learn peaceful driving i would 100% suggest this school. Read Less
