We spent a lot of time out on the bikes. The tests were straight forward, and I received my new license with the motorcycle endorsement a couple of weeks after the class.

If you want to enjoy riding even more highly recommend taking a training course here or anywhere, I did here and I had a great experience but I did have some experience before doing the course and I had a motorcycle permit before entering. I did the beginner course to learn more and they had great motorcycles to practice on through the training. Let me tell you the instructors are very helpful by giving tips answering any questions on how to ride. I made many mistakes but that’s is how one learns from making mistakes. I rode my personal motorcycle today and enjoyed riding 200times more. I really learned where my skills are and the risks I should take such as in turns and handling not being reckless. I don’t not regret my decision to take the course because what I learned added even more to what I knew already and I thought I knew everything. Read Less

I've taken the basic rider safety course from Iron Buffalo twice. Once to get my endorsement three years ago and again this past week as a refresher because I finally got a bike. These guys are great. I really cannot speak highly enough of them. This last class I took Bob and Brian were absolutely top notch instructors (so was the previous guy but I can't remember his name). I'll admit an embarrassing story here and I hope it sticks for those of you thinking about taking an IB course. Just today this course may have saved my life. I was getting used to my new bike and tooling around the neighborhood when I screwed up badly. Parked trucks, in a place they normally are not, created a blind right turn. A truck on the other side of the road narrowed the passage to being just a bit over a car-width wide. I came in a bit fast at 15mph and found myself looking at the front end of an SUV that was likewise going too fast. Parking lot speeds were required and we both exceeded them. I dumped the bike. Yeah, I did. That sucks. I dinged up a foot peg, busted my brake pedal. Bruised my knee and my ego too. Had to limp the bike home with my tail between my legs. A hard way to learn a number of valuable lessons but rest assured I've taken them to heart. Here's the thing: Without the IB rider course I would have had a head on collision with that SUV and I while I may not have died I certainly wouldn't be sitting here writing this review with some frozen beans on my knee. I'd be lying in a hospital bed and that's best case. I came into a blind curve faster than I should have but I'd have been going faster if not for Bob and Brian and I certainly wouldn't have had the clear head to realize that it was a choice between dumping the bike and dinging my knee/pride or kissing someone's front end at a combined speed of probably 40mph. See that paragraph above? I learned a heck of a lot. I'm here to tell you about it because of IB and on top of that, rather than being scared of the bike I just want to get another brake pedal so I can go learn more! (Hopefully without bruising me or the bike again!) Again, great class, top notch instructors. Listen, learn and, above all, have a great time. You'll never have so much fun learning things that might just save your life. Read Less

The good: Professionalism over the phone. I had a very bad experience with "The motorcycle training center" and called this place to get into a class. I was quickly scheduled. The actual class. Small class size with easy communication. Good little bikes to ride. The bad: You will be on a black top parking lot with no shade or cover. Prepaid to be assaulted by the sun, while sitting in the most horrible metal back breaking chairs. A canopy is $40 bucks at Walmart mart guys. The lot is painted with all manner of lines for different exercises which gets pretty convoluted and confusing considering the "cones" used to mark the course for unpainted exercises are the size of a hockey puck and hard to see while mixed in with the crazy lines. The instructor was kind of a dick when you fail to see these tiny tiny cones. His instruction was more inpatient than preferred and I've been riding for many years. It wasn't as though I was trying to run anyone over. Just couldn't decipher one exercise at first run. Anyway, not a big deal. Take the class. Get legal. Read Less

I can't recommend this enough.  My wife and I took the 2-day Beginner class this past weekend. Our instructors were David and Bob. We have both ridden bikes in the past, but it had been about 8-9 years since we last rode. I thought I'd learn a couple things here or there, but never expected it to be this informative and learn as much as I did.  The instructors were great and provided both encouragement and ways to improve.  My wife and I improved quite a bit, but what was amazing is how the absolute beginners went from not knowing anything to being able to perform fairly complex tasks by the end of the second day.  If you're looking to learn from scratch or improve, you should strongly consider going to these classes! I highly recommend taking a class from them- it could save your life! They were super organized and took care of us from start to finish. William checked in with me by phone the day before to make sure I knew the location of the training and that I had my safety gear, and necessary insurance paperwork etc. Our scooter group has been riding together for years, but some of us hadn't gotten our endorsements yet. The guys at Iron Buffalo tailored the class to experienced scooter riders, which made it even better! A lot of training companies won't do this. Even if you aren't on a motorcycle- you still need to be safe and know how to operate your equipment. These guys provided excellent training to make sure we all are better safer riders. Heck, take it if you already have your endorsement- it's great to refresh your skills and may save your life! The instructors made this day fun and were so informative. Bonus, I got my motorcycle endorsement card after testing on the course and taking a 25 question written test! What a great day! I tested with our scooter group of ten, we often ride together on group rides throughout the city. It's great to know we are all taking the time to be safe riders. It was 20 years since I had been on a motorcycle and I wanted to get my endorsement, so I took the experienced class. When I called, a person answered the phone who answered all my questions. I was able to sign up online and pay with paypal, no problem. I was sent a confirmation email telling me everything I needed to know for the the class. I also got a call to confirm and remind me what I needed to bring to the class. The class is part prep for the written test and other part is riding a motorcycle threw cones simulating different situations. I was able to run the exercises as often as I needed.  The instructor criticized me for not looking over my left shoulder as much as I should have. I told him that I had a pain in my back that kept me from turning my head too much. I was impressed that he picked up on it as I hadn't mentioned my back condition. This is a great way to freshen up skills without needing to worry about the restrictions imposed by the Colorado motorcycle permit. Also since motorcycles are supplied, you don't need to worry about dumping your own bike. I asked why the bikes had no mirrors on them and the instructor told me it was because the bikes were dropped so often. After passing the written and riding test, I took my certification to the dmv and got my endorsement after paying a $28 fee. It was hassle free, I learned to be a better rider and it was easily worth the price of the class. Read Less

I like that it was easy to sign up online and the reminder call a few days ahead of time was thoughtful, courteous and helpful. My instructor, Bob, was more than accommodating after I told him I plan to ride a scooter; he immediately asked if I wanted to change vehicles and quickly switched out my motorcycle for a scooter before we started class. I was grateful and appreciated being able to practice on the type of vehicle I would actually be riding. The class itself was thorough, informative, and I came away feeling relieved and confident. We were given plenty of breaks and the small class size made it easy to feel like we were getting the best feedback we could get. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back for the advanced classes. Read Less

These guys are simply fantastic. Our RiderCoaches, George and Alan, were perfect; always supportive and encouraging, but stern when they saw bad habits or unsafe practices. Training here was a genuinely good time, and the bikes provided were more than sufficient for the task (Honda Nighthawk 250s and Honda Rebel 250s, in good repair). Exercises were well-paced, and I feel like I had sufficient practice time for everything. The Metro Denver training area (the former Lowry AFB in Aurora) is a perfect place to learn, with very little traffic or extraneous noise. Somehow, IBMT also provides the lowest price in town! It's hard to believe, but I actually felt a bit sad having to leave our class afterwards. Everyone had a great attitude, but I attribute this at least partially to George and Alan who consistently ensured that people were learning at an appropriate pace and didn't feel embarrassed if they made mistakes. I can't emphasize these qualities enough, especially if you're someone who isn't quite sure if they're ready to start riding yet. I had about two years of experience before taking this course and never felt bored, and they got my girlfriend (who hadn't ridden a bike in two or three years!) to a near-perfect (-5 score) performance for the final test. Bonus, I got my motorcycle endorsement card after testing on the course and taking a 25 question written test! What a great day! I tested with our scooter group of ten, we often ride together on group rides throughout the city. It's great to know we are all taking the time to be safe riders. I feel like we all learned something and will be even better riders going forward. Iron Buffalo makes it fun and easy to level up your skills. Read Less

Ten of us on scooters set up an experienced rider course with Iron Buffalo.  The class was great.  Instruction was tailored to our specific needs.  William, the owner worked hard to get our business and meet our needs.  5 of us needed to test for the endorsement. 5 of us were there as a refresher.   Everyone had a good time.  I plan on taking this course every five or six years to keep my skills sharp.  Enroll in an Iron Buffalo class, It can save your life.  Thank you Iron Buffalo! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend. I had not ridden any street bikes until i took their weekend class, but now after going through and passing both the written and road test, i feel so much more confident with getting a bike. The instructors were professional, super nice, extremely knowledgeable, and most of all, they were very good teachers! For the price, what you get is unbeatable and the skills they teach are invaluable. I look forward to taking an advanced class with this school once i get better with the basics. I cannot say enough good things about this class. Thanks guys! Read Less

As somebody who has never even been on the back of a motorcycle, nor knows how to drive stick, I was worried coming into the Basic class. Within a couple of hours, not only was I on a bike, but riding it (slowly) with confidence. The RiderCoaches were both so encouraging, informative, and just genuinely good people. I came away from the class with more knowledge and safety information than I even thought existed, and I'm already considering taking their Intermediate class once I ride around for a little while. Highly recommended to everyone--beginner or not. Read Less
