Please take heed and don't waste your time or money. As a college student, I had recently left class and we made it to the Academy School of Driving for a 1530 appointment at 1531, was told that we were four minutes late. Looked at are phones and watches and the time said 1532. To my knowledge, it takes time to walk in general. With all the rudeness, not even a single greeting or introduction was given. She was very disrespectful from the start. During the test, I was marked for not stopping completely, not looking over my shoulder, did not check my mirrors, and miscommunication of a turn signal and merging. All of these were falsely justified, including the fact that I had changed a left turn signal to the right turn signal while still in the parking lot before we even left. Her reply during the debrief as I said I saw and heard the changes I made were, "well I didn't see it." In addition, I tend to openly express what I see at all times while I am driving as I also noticed when she decided to start making marks. I believe it is a general rule of thumb to mark mistakes as soon as they are seen. Not when we are driving on a straight rode and you decide to make 5 or so marks at once after nothing has even happened. Moreover, the fact that I was blamed for going off course because a driver did not allow for me to merge or marking off because I notice a pedestrian trying to get in his car on the same side of the street as me (I can go on). I would rather be safe than sorry. Yet, it is astonishing that I was failed because they were all reasons that were altered to the view of the test giver rather than the actual test. Feeling the vibe when we walked in and the rudeness of the lie that we were four minutes late, we should have trusted our gut and just left. Do not take a test with people who have the mental reservation to fail you based on your ethnicity and what other biases she held at the time. There was no integrity to that test, and I wish I had read the reviews before going. As this place was recommended to me, no matter how hard i would try, I would fail to recommend this in the best light to anyone. I'm disappointed that things like this still happen. Thank you American Driving Academy for adding an experience that I would never want anyone else to go though. My apologies for switching up the name, but as I recall you are located next to the DMV in a reddish building. Also, I have already made the mistake with the building not far from you, and I assure you that if I were wrong and unjust, then I would own up to it.
