I admit, I was hesitant to let my 15 1/2 year old daughter alone with a complete stranger, let alone is his car!... But what's a parent to do when you have to have your kid spend 6 hours behind the wheel with a professional driving instructor?   Well, if you're crazy like me, you call all the top rated schools and get a feel for the instructors, or at least you try to.  Not feeling very impressed with the other top rated businesses, I contacted Pro Am Driving School.  I must have spent 30 minutes on the phone with John, one of the instructors at Pro Am.  He totally understood where I was coming from, having kids of his own.  Completely put me at ease and let me know it was 100% okay for me to come along while he trained my daughter.So I'm very glad I decided to go with Pro Am.  Yeah, I did go along for first training ride and it was awesome.  John teaches a hell of a lot more that just the basics of driving.  It started out with a basic lesson of how the car works in the first place, the engin, how to check the oil, what brake rotors and pads are, (and how much they cost to replace!) situational awareness and more.  My daughter was completely at ease with John.  And just the first two hours of training has greatly increased her confidence in driving...  I know by the end of the six hours she is going to be competent and on her way to being a safe driver.If you are on the fence, just give a call and see what I'm talking about.Perry Read Less

We have had two other children use another driving school company but Pro Am Driving School and especially John Libby were the best and super incredible! John was patient, professional, and had a great sense of humor. His pre-driving presentation was informative and helped my wife and I learn about the car, its mechanics and how it functions. Our son said that John was patient yet firm but made the 2 hour session a great and fun experience. Our son has a new sense of confidence and knowledge while driving and we highly recommend John to any families who need a truly professional driving instructor. I sought out Bill after reading the reviews on Yelp.My 5th child passed his driving test, and was licensed to independently drive, but I just didn't feel quite comfortable with his skills. I asked Bill to take him out for a few hours just to assess and see what he thought. One 2 hour outing driving freeway, canyon roads, etc and he returned assuring me that he was absolutely fine and good to go. He could have easily "sold" me on a few more lessons, and his honesty is certainly refreshing. And now, we are all happy, especially my son!!Super interesting guy to boot; great for boys with his stunt work history. Read Less
