I am writing this review on behalf of my fiancée, who is a Japanese national. This driving instruction school provides instruction for people who speak Japanese as a first language. I didn't suspect that this decision would lead to such emotional trauma for her. The instructor arrived at the specified time in front of our residence. From the beginning of the driving lesson, the instructor began to insult her and harass her incessantly. He did not seem intent on helping her improve my skills, but rather wanted to put her down and make her feel inferior. He said, "You are too old to learn to drive." My fiancée is 31 years old but this is still an example of prejudice and bigotry. He told her, "I don't want to teach you because you are too difficult a student," and "You are the worst student because 1. You are a paper driver in Japan 2. You ride a bicycle and 3. You play the piano." I did not think it was possible to make the last two into an insult, but somehow he managed it. He said, "Why can't you do such an easy thing even though you must be smart because you go to USC." Making her feel inferior and stupid. He also said, "When your boyfriend is driving, you aren't observing how he drives, but just looking at him thinking 'he is so handsome.'" Making her feel shallow. He then made the remark, "Why don't you go back to Japan?" thus insinuating that she does not belong here. When she sneezed during the lesson, he said, "Oh, are you crying?" seemingly happy and smiling. After the lesson when she WAS crying as a result of his harassment, I realized he had wanted to make her cry, which is sadistic. Even if she is a poor driver, there is no justification for such intense verbal abuse. Along with this review, I have also submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Please if you don't want to suffer emotional trauma in the face of verbal abuse, do not attend this driving school. Read Less
