I have had several driving coaches and failed a couple of tests before I came across with Franklin. His extraordinary understanding of driving and patience helped me greatly overcome my traumatizing test experience in the past and I eventually pass the test with the first try with him. Additionally, I feel that the knowledge of driving I gained from him would benefit me for the rest of my life. Franklin is really caring and will help you achieve your goal in driving. Read Less

Make sure you don't get the older driving instructor. While Franklin is very patient and a good teacher, his dad was very sexist towards me. (I am a girl). Like many young drivers, I don't like driving on freeways and when I mentioned it, he called me weak. He said all women are weak and laughed about it repeatedly throughout the lesson and expected me to laugh alongside him. Because I just stated I didn't like driving on freeways, he continued to lambast me saying, "I bet you cry when your mom drives on the freeway. Wahh wahh! Weak, like a woman!" Then he asked if I had siblings, I said I had a sister and and a younger brother. He then said "good, your family has at least one boy. You always need a boy because they are stronger." Read Less

Very Rude! You cannot ask questions or else he becomes defensive and does not let you talk. he is however very punctual I will give him that He stated he will take my daughter to her driving test for a charge of $80.00 when I called to schedule he said no he cannot I asked but if I am willing to pay I don't understand had I known this before I would of signed her up with another company that takes her for driving lessons as well as her test he said no have her learn in your car and hung up! Please beware I know the price is low but maybe it is for a reason In addition my daughter said he would stop places to use the restroom which took up her driving lesson time. Just get a feal for the man before allowing your kids to train with him Read Less

Beware.  I would not trust this guy with my child.  The guy who showed up for our daughter's lesson appeared to have the wrong personality to give a driving lesson, or to be around a child or a customer.  Here is how it went.  Before he came, he asked for the money in cash, which was the first potential warning.  He showed up as scheduled but when I asked if one of the parents can go for the first lesson with the child, he said no, which is probably ok although he was rude.  Then I asked if we could see any paperwork or his driver's license (since we were about to send our teenage daughter for a lesson with an unknown guy, I thought that was reasonable to ask) at which point he appeared to get seething mad, briskly walked away from our house, stomped into his car, and drove away making too fast a U turn.  I think we dodged a bullet with this one.  I would file a complaint with the DMV, but they don't allow online submission so I may not get to it because of the hassle.  Given some other reviews this company appears unfit to be in the business. I am writing this review on behalf of my fiancée, who is a Japanese national. This driving instruction school provides instruction for people who speak Japanese as a first language. I didn't suspect that this decision would lead to such emotional trauma for her. The instructor arrived at the specified time in front of our residence. From the beginning of the driving lesson, the instructor began to insult her and harass her incessantly.  He did not seem intent on helping her improve my skills, but rather wanted to put her down and make her feel inferior. He said, "You are too old to learn to drive." My fiancée is 31 years old but this is still an example of prejudice and bigotry.  He told her, "I don't want to teach you because you are too difficult a student," and "You are the worst student because 1. You are a paper driver in Japan 2. You ride a bicycle and 3. You play the piano." I did not think it was possible to make the last two into an insult, but somehow he managed it. He said, "Why can't you do such an easy thing even though you must be smart because you go to USC." Making her feel inferior and stupid.  He also said, "When your boyfriend is driving, you aren't observing how he drives, but just looking at him thinking 'he is so handsome.'" Making her feel shallow. He then made the remark, "Why don't you go back to Japan?" thus insinuating that she does not belong here.  When she sneezed during the lesson, he said, "Oh, are you crying?" seemingly happy and smiling.  After the lesson when she WAS crying as a result of his harassment, I realized he had wanted to make her cry, which is sadistic.  Even if she is a poor driver, there is no justification for such intense verbal abuse.  Along with this review, I have also submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau.  Please if you don't want to suffer emotional trauma in the face of verbal abuse, do not attend this driving school.
