I work often in LA, so I had to get my CA DL...thank you Nik Driving School and Ramesh! Ramesh was critical in teaching me how to navigate and drive in SoCal and Nik's advice helped me pass my test and get my DL!! It was much easier with your help than doing it on my own. I guess this is one of the cheaper driving schools, which is the #1 reason why I picked it. I am an adult learner without any behind-the-wheel driving experience, so I was extra anxious on the first lesson. The 1st 3 lessons I had was with Nik.He was good, made me very comfortable behind the wheel on the firsy day. I wish he did all the lessons because I felt like I progressively worsened when Ramesh took over. She was late in picking me up on the first and second lessons and I couldn't understand her half the time, so the last few lessons weren't very productive. Read Less

Nik provides excellent customer service. With only 2 weeks for my daughter to get her license I called around and was most pleased with the professional telephone service and availability to accommodate our timeframe. Based on previous Yelp reviews I asked if Ramesh would be available for the driving lessons and he said yes. He directed us to register online and then call back to schedule the lessons. She had two sessions that week and 1 the next week. Ramesh conducted the first 2 sessions and Nik did the last one. They were on time arriving no more than 2-3 minutes after the scheduled time. My daughter passed her test the first time. They prepared her well for the test. They gave her good instructions. I gave 5 stars because I highly recommend Nik's Driving School. Thanks Nik driving school. My brother passed the exam the very first time he took it. I practiced with Nik driving school 5 years ago myself. Back then going to freeway was a huge thing for me and Nik took me to freeway. He gave me confidence to drive on highway. I really recommend Nik Driving school. Nik Does it A to Z for his students. Taking them to most driving situations and showing them what is right and how to do it. Hints on what could go wrong and how to void it. My son recently took lessons from Nik Driving School.  He had Nik for the first lesson and one other instructor.  All were more focused on safe and careful driving skills then on the actual test.  Don't get me wrong, they ensured that he was preparing for the test but first and foremost was their concern that once he passed he would be a safe and courteous driver. They were very accommodating of changes in schedule by showing us their calendar and making every effort to meet the needs of our schedule.   From the first lesson to the last I saw marked improvement in his confidence and skill.  They knew how to adapt to my son's level of ability.  He was very happy with their ability to remain calm and be supportive while delivering important corrections so that he understood.Yes he passed with a good score and felt he was not over-prepared but properly prepared for the test.BTW, there was not any type of difficulty with communication during the training or with the cost.  We couldn't be happier with them. If I could give zero stars I would.This business practices false advertising. We purchased (and paid for) their 10 hour driving program. We scheduled the first appointment for our daughter. Then, two days later we were contacted and told that instead of $420 we "should have paid" $520. They refused to deliver what we paid for.I demanded a refund. Nah...... I hired them tho teach my son because my neighbor used them and because I'm on a budget we went with them . They're cheaper than the big names driving schools out there. But you get what you pay for!!! Ramesh was my son's instructor. She was friendly and patient but her English is not that great and sometimes it's hard to understand her. Same thing with the guy that answers the phone. Their cars are OLDER!! And they always took  my son on the same route, all 3 lessons. I do not recommend them!! Ramesh, best instructor. She's calm, tells you what to do, & also funny. Unlike Matt, he was aggressive, giving me lectures and not very nice. I give this 2 stars because I was suppose to receive a certificate of completion for the 6 hours behind the wheel which I never got. We choose this place for our nephew since it stated that it had a office in Burbank Ca, but after paying $249 we received a text from the company telling us that we would have to pay $51 more because we are 10mins away from Burbank (Shadow Hills). They also told us if we were not willing to pay the difference we would need to call the credit card company ourselves to try to get it refunded.Which I felt was absurd because he's a merchant and should be able to issue a refund! Worst customer service ever! They have fake claims and website is false. I'm literally dealing with a text war with this company! I hope no one ever has to deal with this! Read Less

I bought the 6 hours training for my younger daughter 4 month ago and Ms Ramesh and Mr Nik taught her , very well. Both of them passed the first time . My experience Nik Driving School was phenomenal. It was my first time getting behind the wheel and i was very nervous.The instructor was ALWAYS calm and never raised his voice even when i would make big mistakes. He would let me know what i did wrong, tell me how to fix it, and he would then make sure i did it again correctly. As we drive he gives you advice on what to do, situations that you may come across while driving, and teaches you to be a cautious driver that is aware of his/her environment as well as one that will be ready to take the behind the wheel exam. I am the third in my family to take lessons with NIK and every one of us has passed the driving exam the first time with no problems. Taking classes with him will highly increase your chances of passing the drivers test and i would recommend him to anyone that is looking for not only an experienced instructor but as well as one that helps you feel comfortable behind the wheel. I'm not sure if the instructors are different in every area but I did lessons in the Northridge area. I've had three different instructors so far and I can't stand any of them. These instructors are so uncomfortably creepy. As a young girl I was incredibly uncomfortable and would warn any other girls to not go here. I had my fourth lesson today with an instructor I haven't had before, He touched me a few times, and grabbed my hand while it was on the wheel as I was driving. He called me 'baby' numerous times, it was infuriating and uncomfortable. I was ready to turn around and drive myself home in the middle of the lesson, but for some reason I stuck through it. This wasn't the only horrible teacher, let's talk about the others. My first lesson I had a guy who played religious talk radio throughout the whole lesson on pretty loud volume. Also, when he showed up at my house he wouldn't stop asking me about a couple packages waiting to be shipped out. He insisted on helping me bring them inside even after my telling him multiple times that they're supposed to be outside. My second and third lessons were with a different driver. When I got into the car he grabbed my leg and kept moving my leg between the gas and brake as if I didn't already know which was which. This guy was the most obnoxious instructor yet. He would not stop talking through the whole thing, repeating the same things every few seconds. On my third lesson, I had an appointment at 3:30. This guy shows up to my house at 9:30 am, I was really annoyed. I can't really say anything good about this driving school. Every time I try to call the office, no one answers. One time I was very sick and had to cancel an appointment, I called three times, and no answer. I left a voice mail and they didn't respond until two weeks later. I have one more lesson to finish, although I don't know if I can take any more driving with these creepy, obnoxious instructors. After this last lesson, I'm so creeped out by the instructor that my mother will be joining me in my last lesson so I won't have to be alone. I hope other young girls will not have to deal with these creeps, please find a different driving school. Read Less

Took 5 lessons, 1 with Ken and the remaining 4 with Nik and they were good instructors. Nik was really attentive with my driving and kept reminding me and correcting my driving ways.While having previous experience driving in my home country and not here in the States I've lost touch in driving. Nik trained me in getting used to the road systems here and also helped me build up my driving confidence. After a 4 (2 hour) sessions, I managed to master the left turns at the traffic light and parallel parking as well as driving on the main roads. I passed my behing the wheel test the first time and did really well. Thank you so much Nik for training me for the past month! And to the rest of you reading this review, your research is done. This is honestly a decent driving school, especially considering how much they charge. The owner of the school, Niku is a great instructor, he's really nice and he is informative. He prepared me well for the driving test that I just passed. I bought his 6 hour lesson and took the test in his car. He told me everything I needed to know for the test and we practiced, several times, all the maneuvers they tested me on. I'll admit it, in my second lesson, I went with a different instructor and a different car and this instructor gave me some attitude and wasn't as informative, so I complained to the school, but if you call them and request Nik to be your instructor, he'll be there for you and he is much much better. GO WITH THESE GUYS, I switched probably more than 4 driving schools until I found these guys, they do take a 10min break for a 2hr session which they have to by CALIFORNIA LAW and that's the same with all the driving schools. DO NOT USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL. The two hour class is only 1 hour and 50 min. he takes the last 10 min as a break for himself. He stops to get gas on your time, he constantly talks on his cell phone while student is driving. He did not teach how to parallel park, did not go on the freeway basically drove around on residential streets. Read Less
