All you Have to do is ask questions and they're there to help. I got my license in a month and a half. You just got to put a little bit of effort and time specially time to getting your CDL. Came into this school after a failed attempt with a different school. I came here after the first time that I failed at getting my Class A license. I had been overcharged at the other school and didn't get enough drive time . I learned some things there but got more knowledge at Sergio's school. This place is all I needed to get my Class A commercial driver license. They were very organized and helpful. I didn't have full amount to pay so they gave me payment options. I never hesitated asking questions and in 4 weeks I was ready for the test. But the DMV is so busy that I had to wait another 3 weeks for my appointment. When my appointment day came I had so much knowledge that the examiner told me that I don't have to continue with in-cab because I already had enough points to pass. Great experience with Sergio trucking school, when I first came in I had no experience with driving a truck of any kind. Sergio helped me get my class A permit and from there showed me backing up skills with a truck and Trailor and also how to operate on the roads and freeways. Whole process took about 4-5 weeks and then I got my class A lisence. School is a flat rate which is great in my opinion. I was able to choose what days I would come in and the hours as well. The guys here were great in helping me Improve on my driving skills , they ask you what you want to work on and it goes from there. Overall great school and great instructors. This school is absolutely incomparable to others, it is the best, no doubt about it.I went to one other trucking school before this, and had one of the worst experiences I have ever dealt with. I paid almost twice the amount of money with having to buy individual lessons and spent way longer than i should have. I WISH I came to Sergio sooner.He has a nice office and a huge yard in the back to practice literally as much as you want. The trucks are new, well maintained, so easy to learn on and are extremely maneuverable. The evironmemt makes it a really great place to learn because not only are the trainers very knowledgeable, personable and extremely caring,  but you get to be with other students and learn from each other. When you walk in, they will ask you, "what do YOU want to practice today?" Which really does make the difference. You can spend as little time or as much as you want, everything is on your schedule which makes it easy. It's a comfortable place with excellent people, to really get to know what you're doing. Sergio And the trainers will make sure you are absolutely ready for the road and the DMV test and work with you every step of the way. I could not be more pleased to have been a student. Got my license yesterday, after just 3 weeks of being there. One flat rate, no bs. The amount of time you spend at the school completely depends on your own agenda. Sergio is an absolutley wonderful person and the most fabulous teacher. He always said to leave the school after training, with at least one thing that's positive. Whether that be that you had great control of the truck or you just killed the alley dock 10 times in a row with no pull up. Little things like that make the difference. Amazing place, amazing people. I am so beyond thankful. Long story short, dont waste your time or money at other schools. I called just about every single one that comes up in the Google search, they all charge an exuberant amount of money for lessons, whether it's a pay as you go, or a package deal, it's a scam. Most schools only have trucks that have box trailers which are definitely more difficult with learning how to back. I've heard too many horror stories from other drivers, and have quite a few myself, coming from other schools; "GSF wanted me to start the truck in 4th gear" or "I spent 3k at alliance" etc... If you're looking just to passed the DMV test, this is the way to go, BUT if you really want to learn how to drive a real truck and be able to obtain a real job " this is NOT the company for you" they don't teach you how to actually drive a truck with minimum 10 gear!!! Read Less

My class A CDL journey started with the fact that I'm a small trucking business owner with zero manual driving experience and driving a big rig.   I contacted Sergio more than 2 months ago and explained my situation and what I wanted out of this experience. He understood I simply needed my class A just incase I needed to move my trucks around the yard or perhaps even pick them up long distances. It was the only way for me to expand, however he explained I would be taught as if I'm going to be looking for a trucking job the week after I pass my license exam- he wasn't kidding ! Sergio was very patient over the many phone calls I had with him before signing up with Sergio's Trucking School in the end. He dared me to visit every other local school and compare the prices and equipment quality, and so I did. I visited everyone from Dootson to GSF and I'm so glad I went with Sergio , absolutely zero regrets and it all paid off in the end. The trucks are clean and in very good condition. The instructors Christian & Janette working under Sergio are great and very patient ! Never did I once feel under pressure or scolded. I was taught manual driving within 30 minutes by Christian and 2 days later I was already driving the 6 speed truck. It was a great experience and I feel many of the students who were enrolled at the same time as me will vouch for that. You are provided all the instructional videos for your Air Brake test & All of the Pre-Inspections , and Sergio even has a special program to help you pass your Permit test if that's what you still need , anything is possible here !  You will start out backing up the truck with a 24 foot flatbed trailer in a straight line on your first day , your left leg will turn into spaghetti , you most likely won't get it right away and that's fine ! The instructors understand this and they will work with you! The goal here is to get your class A CDL , and you will get it. I shopped around many schools. GSF wanted 2800 for 30 hours they also don't tell you they charge 3 hours for your DMV road test. I found Sergios School Of Trucking for 1500 unlimited hours until you pass. I thought it was a steal great instructor, trucks are so easy to learn on and new. I started school 4/10/17 I had my road test 5/5/17 he told me I was a fast learner and was ready. I didn't believe him. But he was right and I passed lol . Thank you Sergio. Read Less

I was looking at getting my Class A, and ran across this school.  I called and all seemed well, they said they would teach me to drive for less than anyone else. I did some checking, after all, I am not giving someone my hard earned cash without knowing who they are.  I looked and called DMV, they are not licensed by DMV to provide drivers training.  I thought ok, went and looked at the States Post Secondary School approved list, all the other trucking schools in the area are on there, meaning they teach to a standard, they are not listed there either.  I guess you get what you pay for, and cheap means no standards, and no oversight or standards for their instructors.  Pay a few more $$$ elsewhere, get quality instruction. Sergio school can be a rip off, he ripped me off. He does not instruct day to day....he has other instructors to instruct on the Week Days.I was one week away from taking the Test and he decided I was going to take some more time learning to drive on the street. He stated he thought I would take too long and forced me out of the school. He then refused to refund my tuition , saying I had used his time, fuel and truck. His web site guaranteed " you would be trained until you passed" he never gave me the chance to take the test, thus costing me another $800.00 to rent another truck and some street drive time. He is nutty in my opinion, very hot and cold .....unbalanced person in my opinion. He can be a good teacher then change with the slightest error. I do not recommend you take the chance. He charges less money then complains if you are not the quickest learner. he has forced many students out. He is new school on the block and does not really care about ethics. He does not do as he promises. he promised a full refund but hen changed his mind. He has informed many I'm a Failure.....Not true. this is my only school i went to, and i passed and got my CDL license.  before i didn't know nothing, but don't expect that someone is going to do the work for you.  you need to study hard for your pre-trip inspection and feel the truck. gotta understand how it works in order to learn quicker. feel free to ask any questions your teachers, they will explain. best guys ever, very helpful. and not expensive at all in comparison to other schools. always listen to what guys say because thats for the reason, they know what you need in order to pass.  if they say go home and watch inspection videos for ten times, they really mean it. and today when i passed my pretrip inspection, driving and skills,  the examiner said i was excellent and quick. I'm very happy with my choice of Sergio School of trucking. My experience was very informative from the first day. While in the process of getting my Class A drivers license Sergio took extra time with me to teach my how to successfully get my license. I researched other schools in the area and there was no way I was going to pay six thousand dollars for training. For the price I paid with Sergio I got way more than I paid for!!! The Trucks you learn on are very clean and transmissions are in very good working order so shifting gears is simple if you can already drive Stick. Also the other school wanted to charge me for teaching materials and DVD at Sergio's all materials were included.
