My daughter just finished her driving instructions and passed her DMV driving test with flying colors (100%) with one of the hardest instructors at DMV.AOD really did a phenomenal job with teaching my daughter details of correct driving, especially with how each DMV instructor is.Maurice and his team are great.  Not sure why other Yelpers are posting negative comments...SMHI would highly recommend this driving school to anyone!!Great Job AOD...keep up the great work!! References, that's what a parent wants when you place your teenagers life in another persons hands.That's what we received in 2015, when I inquired about Academy of Driving from a coworker. I'm glad I made that phone call.Josh, was our daughters instructor, from day one.  She knew what to expect after her first session and what she needed to "practice on" until her next session. we liked the company at 1st, we had josh and he seemed great, we referred my daughters best friend to them and she had some major issues with Maurice, and his un appropriate touching of her, and really bad driving habits.  we have since found a coupe others this has happened to, the company seemed great  at first but I can not trust them with my daughters safety. josh did say he has suspended his father Maurice but in my eyes that is not good enough, we are now with wheatland driving school and are very happy Read Less

Great customer service and overall experience. Both Maurice and Josh were very friendly and accommodating, unfortunately, they were booked out for a few weeks so that was my only complaint. Also, I came across them on Yelp, but when I searched it was strange that the business only had 2.5 stars. But when I scrolled to the bottom of the page, I found 40+ "not recommended by Yelp" reviews that were mostly 5 star reviews from their previous customers. Would not recommend this company to ANYONE! Very unreliable as others have posted, and living near where the business owners do, seeing the way they drive around the neighborhood is unacceptable. Constantly speeding, running stop signs, no turn signals, nearly hitting parked cars on a daily basis. Unbelievable that someone who charges to teach people how to drive could have such Ill disregard for their neighbors. If they drive like that in the neighborhood I can't imagine the way they drive out on the main roads and or highway. I had an amazing experience with the Academy of driving. They were always on time, always professional, and truly cared about teaching me how to be an incredibly safe driver. I always felt very comfortable with my driving instructor Maurice since I knew he had a tremendous amount of knowledge on the laws, safety and walked me through every step to get my license. I support local businesses whenever possible which is why I initially chose Academy of Driving. I requested information on the website and received a call from Maurice with pricing and how it all works. He told me his son, Josh would be calling to arrange a time. Josh called the following day and left a voicemail then sent a text. I typically find this unprofessional unless I've specifically said "call or text" but I let it go. We set up a time for my sons first lesson a few weeks from the initial conversation. The day prior having received no follow up, I text josh to confirm the appointment which he confirmed. About 15 minutes before my sons appointment I received a call from Josh saying he couldn't make it and Logan would be coming. Slightly annoyed but whatever. Logan showed up on time and overall the lesson went well. He gave us a paper that had the next appointment written on it for May 2 at 9:30. I didn't text or call to confirm this time as he clearly had it scheduled or so I thought. The appointment time comes and nobody shows. At 9:45 I called Maurice and he seemed shocked "as this has never happened before" (refer to other reviews). He called me back and said he had me down for the following day which was a lie. Pissed at this point and feeling like I've wasted my time and money and seeing the disappointment on my sons face, I told him I'd be finding another company. They were okay. Very good driving instructions however they were very unreliable. I had both Maurice and Josh and they both scheduled an appointment with me and failed to show up. One appointment I had to reschedule THREE TIMES which was annoying!!!! The instruction themselves is awesome but they are unreliable which sucks. Read Less

Maurice was referred to us from a classmate of my daughters. Maurice the owner of The Academy of Driving, was amazing! As a mother it was scary for me to put my trust into a stranger to teach her to drive. Within the first lesson Maurice put my husband and I right at ease as well as my daughter! He is very professional but also easy going and makes the students comfortable.  My daughter passed her drivers test first time around and its all to Maurice's credit he not only taught my daughter everything she needed to know he also taught and guided me in how to teach her and take her out to practice! We will be using The Academy of Driving for our next 3 daughters as well! :) Read Less
