I understand stuff happens.  I spoke to Serena, at Teen Driving Academy 3 weeks ago. The first availability was today at 1 Pm.  Serena set everything up, even offered to pick up my daughter at her school. What a great plan!! Turns out, they couldn't fulfill their commitment. Driver Alvin came to the house instead of going to the high school. My husband ended up picking up our disappointed daughter and on their way down the hill from school saw Alvin in his silver Prius!!  He was late and flew down the hill  The next "availability was the 29!! My friend recommended this place for my 15 year old son. He went with 4 of his friends. Probably one of the best investments and thing I ever did for my son. It's very though. He retained everything he learned. It helped to have guest speakers from M.A.D.D, police officers and a train engineer come in and speak to the class. Serena who I think runs the place is awesome. She does whatever it takes to insure your kid gets what he needs. I was lucky to get her for the behind the wheel portion. My son was excited because he really didn't want anyone else but her. I had two kids go through the program and I cannot say enough about the excellent instruction and customer service we received! Serena is the BEST! My son failed his driver's test and she took it upon herself to take him out driving one more time and did everything necessary to help him pass... and he did. Before I found Downtown Driving School, I was signed up with Teen Driving Academy and they had no availabilities for about a month. Also, when I scheduled my appointments, they moved it back because my instructor was "sick". I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of service they provided. My daughter had David as her instructor and he was outstanding! She went into her license test extremely comfortable and prepared. He also prepared her for her future as a young driver, not just on how to  pass the test. In addition, they were very accommodating with her busy schedule and always friendly and patient as we scheduled her trainings. The week before the test they gave both her and I detailed written and verbal instructions on what to do the day of the test. The teachers in Drivers Ed are really nice and patient with the students. They taught me everything that I needed to know, I passed my written test at the first try thanks to this class. This is the BEST drivers ed in all of Orange County. The staff is very kind and great. I have been using Teen Driving Academy for the past 7 years.  I was referred to them by a friend that had all of her kids go through their programs.  All three of my kids have gone through either the online, classroom or behind the wheel.  My oldest still talks about her behind the wheel instructor.  She was telling my youngest son, who will start his behind the wheel, how wonderful and thorough the instructor was.All of my kids thought the material was well presented, clear and easy to learn.  All passed their permit tests.  My daughter did excellent on her DMV driving exam and she credits her instructor for making her well prepared.  My two sons are starting their behind the wheel.I have recommended the Teen Driving Academy to many of my friends that have teenagers. I moved to the US and needed a license. I went with Teen Driving Academy even though I am not a teen. My instructor was Sid and he was awesome, thorough and put me at ease very quickly. He had a lot of patience and prepared me fully for my test. There were no surprises and although I was nervous all the things we covered in the lessons turned up on my test and I felt confident. I couldn't recommend Sid and the Teen Driving academy enough. Great experience and I know now that if I needed to I could give my instructor a call and he would be as helpful as the first day I went out with him. Read Less

Well, I went in for my lisence test today, Dec. 13th, and my mom kept questioning me; why arn't you nervous??? My answer was, I feel so prepared there is no need to be nervous! And thats the truth! I had the greatest experience with Teen Driving Academy and my trainer Serena. She is the nicest/ funniest/ patient/ and just overalll wonderful woman! She prepared me 100% for driving and I would not be the wonderful driver I am today without her! I tell everyone about her and refer people all the time to this academy. I recently signed up for the teen driving academy, I'm 17.. I really enjoyed driving with my instructor. He taught me a lot and he was funny and didn't make it too hard on me, I never felt uncomfortable. He showed me the outline of the DMV test and he would tell me stories while he taught me to drive. When I was about 17 in high school, I took a class with Khash as the instructor. Someone else had recommended him to me. He and Teen Driving Academy did not disappoint. I was NOT looking forward to waking up early in the morning for an extra class, but Khash was super energetic and engaging. I took the class with my friend, and the Teen Driving Academy instructors made it totally fun for us. He showed us interesting videos and told us outrageous stories to engage us in the material. He helped us memorize policies and rules that would have otherwise been completely boring. It was one of the funnest classes I've ever had to take. Teen Driving Academy also provided extremely helpful resources like practice tests, and I passed the written permit test on my first try with flying colors. When our daughter turned 16, I started calling different schools to get information. I had no idea how this worked, but the receptionist was very patient and answered all my questions. This was the strangest encounter I have ever had. I signed my son up on line following the prompts for the free online class if sign up for the behind the wheel training. My receipt stated I had signed up for exactly that. The next day I get a call from Shari who was, right from the start ,snippy and very short/impatient. She stated I'd only signed up for driver training not the online course. I then , confused about this info stated I was sure I'd signed up for both, went over to my computer and while doing this she became very defensive stating ""do you want me to help you or not"" with a very rude tone. Then she proceeded to start telling me how to sign up correctly... I stated I am getting on the computer right now to please hold on. She just talks over you does not seem to care wether you have something to say or not. I confirmed that I had my receipt in front of me now and it clearly states I have signed up for both. She was very stern and rude saying she ""had 12 people sign up last night and 2 of you did it wrong"" and ""Do you want me to help you or not?"" Her mannerisms Or lack of manners concerned me enough to decided not to use this company. She stated she was the owner! I'm thinking if the OWNER is like this to customers what are the employees like! I did make the statement that they are not the only company out there and to treat customers this way is really wrong. She said she would be refunding our $295. and hung up on me! I would NEVER place my child in an environment that had the potential to be as bad as what I'd just experienced. Read Less
