It's very helpful and the people helps to make driving a lot more comfortable then you think.

I wanted to support a local business here in town. Called two times and got a recording despite it being business hours. I decided to drive down and to my surprise the place was empty. The man who was helping me seemed upset that I had come down and made no eye contact. It was not a warm reception and I felt as though I was annoying this man. I asked when the first lesson was available and he said it would be a month out. I told him I would get back to him. He finally made eye contact and said he would see if anyone wanted to pick up extra shifts. As you know a permit is not valid until the driver has had their first behind the wheel lesson. I decided to call around AND found a local place that was less expensive and there was no surcharge to pick up my daughter nor drop her off at my house! They offered to get my daughter in at my convenience! When I met the instructor he was very friendly, smiled and made eye contact! My daughter later said he offered to take her on the driving route TO HER SCHOOL!!! She does not go to school locally so this was HUGE!!! As they say everything happens for a reason..... Read Less

Signed my daughter up for classes( they accept credit cards as some don't) and her instructor was Jason. It was well worth the drive from Salinas to Morgan Hill. She did 3 two hour sessions and was able to complete them in a week. Jason made the drives very comfortable f my daughter and even gave me a tip on how not to make my daughter nervous when we did our 50 hours. She took her drive test this morning 2/18 at the DMV and passed. I would definitely recommend Roadrunner driving school. Request Jason, you won't regret it. Read Less

There are two schools in Salinas. One charges $500 the other $350 but had mostly bad reviews. So I did research and found this school in Morgan Hill. Only a 30 minute drive and only took a week to complete. Signed up and my daughter is on her final behind the wheel (highway driving) as I type.   The price was $340 which was on average with other schools.  Jason was my daughter's instructor and we were lucky to have him. He makes her feel comfortable and at ease.He gives parents advice on making the child feel comfortable when you have to drive with them for 50 hours. I am 100% satisfied with her training and again request Jason, you won't regret it. Read Less

My son took the driver's education course at Roadrunner and completed his behind the wheel training there as well.   I believe that the classroom driver's education class was more effective for him than the online course.  Regarding the behind the wheel training, my son had a very positive experience with his instructor.  He successfully passed his permit and license test the first time! After reading a few reviews on here, I felt more hesitant to sign my daughter up for behind the wheel. I was pleasantly surprised but the helpful and friendly assistance that I received. Signing her up was easy and her instructor, Shay was so good with her. She put her at ease and it really improved my daughter's confidence. Thank you Roadrunner! Read Less

Please be warned.  This otherwise decent school has changed the policy on their classes with little notice.Prior to taking a license test you must drive for around 6 months.  6 hours of instruction is required, which RR does in three two hour sessions. Now they are requiring the classes be done in 90 days.  This makes no sense.  The best use of the last class is a pre test check up (even the instructor said this) but now you must take your last class 90 days in before that.  So in my daughters case she was rushed into lesson 2 before she was ready to drive around downtown SJ, and now we are in disagreement about lesson 3, which has freeway driving, which she is not ready for.Very disappointing and I can no longer recommend this school. Find another one is my recommendation. Read Less

So I just finished taking roadrunner and I personally think its amazing. The price isn't that bad, but I got it as a Christmas present. The reason I chose roadrunner is because three of my other friends recommended it to me. So far the experience has been amazing. The instructor that I got was Nellie. I definitely recommend her because she is so kind and she takes her time explaining the things you as a student need to know. If you are thinking of a driving school to send your child, Roadrunner Driving School is the one for you. Only tip I give you and your child is for them to wear something comfortable and to not be that nervous it isn't as bad as a lot of people say. Read Less

Roadrunner is the best place around. I would never consider going any where else! If you're considering the online route... Don't. There is so much to be learned in the classroom that you won't get on a computer. Also, the driving instructors are fully screened, trained, and completely professional. Thank you Roadrunner for preparing my "little girl" to go out into the world and be safe! Read Less

My son took their Driver's Education course in August, and was not looking forward to sitting in class, but once the class started, he changed his thoughts immediately.  My son couldn't stop talking about the how funny and interesting the instructor was and made the days go by fast. I could tell that the instructor kept the class involved because my son still reminds me of what the laws are and if I'm breaking them... lol. They also brought in the CHP to talk to the class, and the instructor is a retired Police officer to top it off!  My son has also begun Behind the wheel training with their driving instructors, and they are amazing!  My son was SUPER nervous driving, but by the time he was done with his first lesson, he was calm, happy, and couldn't wait to drive again. :-)I am so glad I drove up from San Jose to bring my son to this driving school! I took this class when I was like 16.  I forget how much I had to pay for this class, but it was alright.  I forget how many sessions we had to go to too.  I think the cars we used were Ford Taurus or Ford Focuses and the passenger seat where the instructor sits has a brake and steering wheel too.  I remember having a chick teacher and she didn't even really teach me anything new since we were all driving since we were 15.  She always put the brake on when I'd go over 75 MPH and would tell my mom I had a lead foot when she'd come to pick me up from the class.  Low and behold, she was probably right.  I don't think I learned my lesson.I remember some high school or college aged kids making fun of me at a stop light once too by hella honking at me, since they have those student driver signs on the roof of the cars.  Haha! You basically get to drive wherever you want to.  I drove around Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister.  She even offered to buy me some food from some small bakery in Hollister.  Nice woman.  Said she taught all her kids how to drive tractors on their farm at like the age of 14 down in Hollister.  Farm woman driving a Beamer.  Shooot.  I wonder how much they paid her over here.  But yeah, I remember one day she offered to cancel my class and reschedule it since it was raining ridiculously hard and there was hail and everything and like 40-50 MPH winds, but I drove anyways and she was all like I'm glad I had you today, but you need to learn to get rid of that lead foot.  I even got to feel what it was like to hydroplane for short periods of time for the first time in my driving career that night.7 years later, I finally understood what she meant.  Ahhh!Lead foot = Bad news = Cost you a lot of money in the future Read Less
