My parents were scared to teach me how to drive so I started searching for driving schools. Came upon viva driving school and scheduled my driving lessons. My first lesson was with David and he was good. My next appointment was scheduled with Veronica and let me tell you she's amazing. She would tell you what you're doing wrong and help you fix it. She made me feel comfortable with her. I highly recommend Viva Driving School. I also HIGHLY recommend Veronica. I just had my driving test and I passed the first time!! This review is long overdue.So I highly recommend this place, especially having Veronica as my guide. She was so patient and sweet and never lashed out or made me feel pressured! Anyways, she gave me some awesome tips as well and I couldn't believe it when I was able to pass my exam (santa monica DMV) at the first try!! Keep in mind, a lot of people tend to book for culver city because it is apparently easier to pass. The santa monica one is known to have rude instructors who even yell at you for your mistakes. So my advice: while going through your lessons with Viva school (took me six classes) practice with friends, family, as much as you can. Also, if you have the time book with culver city's dmv, not Santa monica as it harder and some people there would even purposely try to trick you to make mistakes. Anyways, being able to pass the Santa monica dmv at first try is rare! and I was able to do so because of Veronica! If I had any kids, I would even take them through here! Read Less

I had the pleasure of working with Senait, Valerie and David on different occasions (thanks to my random schedule), all of whom were professional, courteous, and thorough instructors. They were incredibly patient, kept their cool through my mistakes, and made sure I understood proper technique. They were also great about making sure I practiced my pain points until I nailed them - in a low pressure, supportive way. For the first time, I found Viva Driving School from the website, I felt already that Viva Driving School, Inc., is very different with other Driving Schools. Feel it by yourself! Welcome and pleasant voice of Customer Service, in scheduling and checking what you need. The cars are brand new and nice. RANDY, my instructor during my driving practice with his deep knowledge, is very kind, patient, make me confident all the time. His lessons and words are very helpful, and will be always remembered by me in my life. I passed the Driving Test only 1 time: the first time. I already had a European licence but needed to do the CA driving exam. I had a 2 hour session with Viva to make sure I was 100 % on CA rules of the road and knew what to expect in the test. So I was pretty hesitant to buy driving lessons because I had such a terrible experience my first time. My previous instructor was a complete jerk and severely impatient which was a surprise because his driving school had pretty good reviews. However, I knew I wasn't ready for the road test so I searched and found really great reviews for Viva, specifically Veronica.If you skipped the first paragraph START READING NOW! Veronica is the most baller, bad ass, supportive, and kickass instructor EVER! Right off the bat we just clicked. She didn't seem nervous at all to be in a car driven with a newbie (my last instructor made it pretty clear that he feared for his life around new drivers) which was great because having someone anxiously telling you to stop, slow down, speed up, signal, turn, look, and remember rules is really frustrating when you're just learning.Veronica NEVER used her brake while I was driving when she definitely could've. I'm stating this observation because I find making mistakes (when you're in a safe zone) and being trusted to correct them is super encouraging and a confidence booster. I was NEVER EVER anxious behind the wheel with Veronica and always felt comfortable asking her questions.I bought the 6 hour package and not only passed my test with NO MISTAKES, but Veronica also did a little bit of freeway and parallel parking practice with me which was super helpful.Now beyond being an amazing instructor she also has some cool personal tidbits to tell. Awesome experience with this fine driving school! I came to Viva Driving School, Inc. only a few days before my road test... I needed a lot of help, since i had failed my previous road test badly. A friend had recommended Viva Driving School, Inc. and so i decided to try it out in a desperate attempt. From the moment i spoke to instructor at the front desk, i knew i had come to the right place. Immediately i felt like these people were here to help me...they are genuinely interested in catering to your needs. They pin point what your weaknesses and deficiencies are and tackle it at the core. In only 5 classes, i went in on the day of the road test and scored a 100. Zero deficiencies, i couldn't believe it. Viva Driving School, Inc. had given me the tools and confidence i needed to tackle this monster. I highly recommend driver, who is a very experience driver, i mainly worked with him....his parking technique is immaculate. Best driving school on the west side. I took only one lesson and got my license the next week first try. On top of that, i only had about 35 miles of previous driving experience under my belt. If you need to learn how to drive or just sharpen up your road skills, look no further than Viva. They are really nice and friendly. There's no yelling or controlling you. They let you make the decisions. My instructor was Dave. Really cool guy, knowledgeable of cars. I recommend him. The cars are straight too. Modern and up-to-date. The prices are fair too. The instructor was really friendly and made it really comfortable to drive. The car from the driving school was really easy to drive. I have a driver's license from my country but I was still nervous driving in US. But with only one lesson, I was able to pass the behind the wheel test.
