Mr.Alvaro taught me a lot within 6 hours and I was able to sharpen my skills and prepare for the behind the wheel test, which I passed all thanks to him. He is patient, and friendly. My almost 17 year old daughter just finished six hours with Alvaro P from Van Nuys Driving School.  I admit to being nervous because of one very negative review and one three star.  I and my daughter give him five stars for being very nice, calm, on time, honest and very reasonably priced (35 dollars per hour).  I have to wonder if the one star is a false entry by a competitor?  If the negative was true certainly we would have seen a hint of it in six hours plus.  Nope, five star.... Where is the zero star because this driving school deserves a zero star. Van nuys driving school is the best example of a pathetic driving school. please guys don't waste a single cent on them I mean it. I have never in my life been to a pathetic school like this driving school. The instructor albert or alberto whatever his name is, is very uprofessional rude weird very disrespectiful and irritating. That guy will start driving classes with you, he shows you nothing, he will keep insulting you saying he doesn't work for you and he is not an eye doctor to know you looked at the rear view mirror my God. He doesn't show you nothing, he tells you to drive and when you do something wrong he screams at you. I kept driving I made mistakes here and there being a first time driver and when I asked him why did the car go that way or this way? he says "I don't know I was like tell me so that I learn he rudely told "me you tell me". I was like I have paid you to teach me and this is not right. We kept driving he says nothing then I suggest he show me how to park and we went to some parking space and he told me park here I tried to park the car but it was a bit far from the carb I asked him "what went wrong" he shouted I don't know I asked him "which is the right way" he said the right way is straight and you parked here. I asked him how im I supposed to do it show me? he rudely told me "you show me" I was like are you kidding me? Cmon seriously this is not good I told him I cant do this I have to go and he shouted you'll pay me the full fee I told him I can pay you 3 times or even 10 of that its not about the money its the attitude we left. He was not sorry at all when I kept complaining he started saying im dealing with this old women looking at us through the window trying to help you if I was not helping you I couldn't be dealing with this people looking at us from the windows oh my God where did that come from?? help who?? I asked? so irrelevant. My God he must be his own boss nobody can hire such a person. When I reached home I paid him what I thought was the fee for that trash service of that day which he took and went away. Honestly guys do not waste your money. No wonder its the cheapest in van nuys my husband was suspicious of that rate he had a feeling it would be  crap and crap it turned out to be. coz their rates are good but their services are the cheapest. Cheap is always expensive coz I had to look for a different school. I had been warned by two people I ignored them but I learnt it the hard way. Not to forget his cheap attitude of gossiping the residents of the neighbourhood we were driving, he was always saying "look at that one looking at us through the window," look at that old idle woman looking at us through her window, telling me what she is thinking such a cheap attitude, my  God I was like let's focus. He is such a bad instructor I have never met that kind of a character in my whole life.
