It's what you make it here. I got my CDL here almost 2 yrs ago, and am currently working at the Ports shuttling containers around So Cal making good money. Hanging with the other good students and learning from each was the key for me, watching tons of YouTube videos was also. Stay away from the complainers and negative people. Management is not the best but you will have ALL the tools at your disposal to get your CDL, it's up to you to put it all together and make it happen. Good Luck. Read Less

Hahahhaha! In terms of obtaining your CDL, do you need a school with brand new trucks? Or a beautiful truck yard? Let me tell you something, you will get the experience of driving an 18 wheeler since the time you start driving behind the steering wheel. Do not underestimate a school by the way they look  or how new or big are the trucks. I took the training in 2000 in Aztlan school. When I was ready to take the DMV final driving test, 4 out of 4 passed. From the other trucking school 1 or 2 out of 4 passed. This school might train you with small daycab trucks and a 20' trailers, enough to pass at the DMV where someother trucking schools uses sleeper trucks with 53' trailers easy to fail. Victor is a scam, he had no school but a small yard where he scams people and take their money away, no training or anything basically learning by yourself, the trucks are in very bad conditions, don't go over there no matter what. I signed up and I gave him 300 dollars and next day I had an emergency my dad needed a brain surgery and asked him to give at least half what I paid he refused I even begged him this guy has no heart or anything , he has two people that watch people while they are self training on the truck no professional at all. I don't get why people trash this school.  Tbh it all depends on how the student want to learn..  You can't blame no school for the way you learn.  I personally go to this school and I have learned alot so far.  I am just waiting to pass my test..  Overall is a good school. Read Less

Unfortunately, Yelp requires a star, if they offered none; I would rate this school as Close shop! No star. Do not go, do not send anyone there. The trucks should not even be on the street for one, #2, you have to wake up at 5 am to go and pray no one else is there to sign up  to go and take the CDL test at the DMV, and pray you do not fail because the truck will fail you!!!!! There are about 40-50 guys and girls there every day all day to get a moment to go inside (1) broken, run down dirty truck that barely runs. They take money from people, to make them come and sit, to get 10 minutes of training per day in 4 hours. Oh and don't let the owner find you there every day, he is adding the hours, a s if your being trained in those hours. No wonder that only 1 has passed out 250 people!!!! Yes, one. Oh and that 5 am call to run in, well, that is to sign up for a spot to take the test, in which you have about 100 people in line waiting. This place needs to be closed down! We are going to formally request it to be inspected and certified by La county, the State, and city. It is a scam, and should not be opened. The owner is just there to collect your money, it is not a real business. He will keep charging you, and threaten you until you pay more. Save your time money and reputation, go to a reputable school if you want to a be a driver. Read Less

I am a commercial driver, going to Aztlan so called Trucking school was the worst experience in my driving education, Victor, the owner will talk to you first about classes and how much he will charge you for schooling, He wants all the money up front and only CASH he wont accept check or credit card, believe me he purposely do not teach you the right material so you will come back and pay him more money, his Trucking school is as big of a front yard of a house.Don't take my word for it, please observe his INSTRUCTORS teaching methods, before you sign up with them. Honestly, at first it may seem that its a bad school, but i am here to say that i got my license and I am very grateful for finding this school. Worst experience I have ever had.  The owner victor is very rude, disrespectfull  And does not care about his students... And he only excepts cash, no checks or card allowed, I wish I did not attend this school. I rather pay 2-300 dollars more. And go to a different school and not support this rude guy... also the yard and the trucks  for training is a pile of ___!!!! Read Less

I came here a few weeks ago to check the "school' out, I talked to a instructor there that seemed nice enough. When I visited their website they had pictures of newer looking semi-trucks, when I went to their location they had nothing but old, dirty, and beat down trucks. Even more so ridiculous is the lot they conduct their training in, it is the size of a Taco Bell parking lot! The entire place is dirty, inside and out.
