I have enrolled all three of my daughters at High Desert Driving School and the service is excellent!!! My daughters are all great driver's thanks to the wonderful staff. First off at the initial walk in/phone call, I was well informed of policies and license process for my daughter's. The instructors are well versed in the driving laws and driving expectations. High desert driving school is great they are so kind and you expand your learning on driving. they have wonderful tips and advice when learning to drive.. its way better to take drivers education in their class rather than online you learn better and dont have to read like you do online. Read Less

Signed nephew up for driving classes. I was very excited to learn there was a cancellation the next day and he could begin immediately. Turned up for his lesson the next day, was told it was for the day after. I didn't mind them making a mistake in scheduling, even if we did drive an hour to get there. What I minded was Christina telling me that she never said anything like this, and blaming me for getting it wrong. Really? If that's how they handle this kind of problem, how will they handle the drivers? I asked for a refund, which I got right away, but I was charged a transaction fee. Learn to run a business! If I could give this place negative stars I would! Do not hire them for your driving classes. I registered my son and he didn't pass the driving test the first time so he waited to retake the test and didn't request to do the driving test until 9 month later. My son emailed the school and never heard back to schedule a time. They stated they emailed my son back and he never received the email.  We paid $300 and he only got one driving class. I tried to schedule the other two lessons and they stated he would have to pay $99 each new lesson. They said it's stated on their website that the class expires but I never went on the website, I called to reserve. Secondly, email is not reliable do to spam and junk mail, who knows if they even emailed. And they should have contacted me the parent to advise the classes were do to expire! My son is not 18 yet and I'm financially responsible for him and I made that $300 payment they chose to steal.  I paid for my other son to do classes before a few years back so now they have made $650 from me and will definitely tell everyone not to use them!! Fantastic expereince, very friendly and informative receptionist. As far as the driving instructor goes i couldnt have been more happy, he was able to teach me everything i needed to know and was very friendly and made me feel comfortable his name is josh ask for him if you can. Lets face it... Getting your license when you're  a kid is a milestone in life. Remember the day you got your license? Worry and concern all over your parents faces... It's a kids first real taste of freedom. And boy... There is nothing quite like the pride and terror one feels as a parent the first time their child drives without them for the first time. Watching your child drive off into the sunset while a barrage of grisly scenes plays over and over in your mind...There is nothing quite like it. You want to be sure your children have been taught something of worth when investing in your child's safety. The road can be a dirty, dark place and without the right instruction, it is easy to turn down the wrong street. Christine proved herself a worthy instructor. Not only did she teach my son about the rules of the road, she taught him why the laws are in place as they are, and the reasons for them. She not only showed him how to "pass the test" but shared with him critical knowledge so that he can best maneuver whichever road he chooses to drive. So, if you want your kid to "just pass" the drivers test... Well, you can take them to any old driving school.. You're the parent... You know best.. Their system relies on handwritten notes and erasures to document lessons. When their full proof system fails, it is up to the consumer to pay for an extra lesson. One of the high desert driving school cars almost wrecked into me today off 15th st w. The red ford mustang with plates #6DRJ221 swerved into our lane, almost side swiped our car & about hit us cutting us off. The lady with the young male was dark haired with glasses & was laughing at the situation pointing at our car. I'm glad your driving teachers think its funny to have the students drive like idiots. HDDS is currently training my 3 rd child! They did a wonderful job making my first 2 children safe and prepared to pass their licensing exams on the first try! My son said the in class room courses were fun, and he sailed through it! I highly recommend In class training rather than on line, as I have heard of a lot of teens who procrastinate doing the on line time commitment. The trained driver picks up your teen at home or at school a major help for working parents. My son was thrilled to be picked up today in a red mustang! For a small fee they will also rent a car for your child to test in, and give the teen another hour of training right before the test! Read Less

For the driver's instruction, the class was fine. However, that is not all that one gets when signing up for this class. The female instructor in particular spends much time communicating to the students about a number of conspiracy theories and things that appear to be politically sensational during the time when we had paid for her to be instructing our children about driving... all required by the State. I wonder if the State is aware of the things that she is also teaching? My children are young and easily impressionable, and I have had to spend the last 6 months to a year (and am still in the process of trying) to 'weed through' all of the various things that she taught that they were exposed to and trying to 'de-brainwash' my children who took her class... all political in nature. I would consider this a political 'indoctrination' school that also teaches Driver's Ed. They teach Driver's Education well. I also believe that she certainly has the freedom to say the things that she says. I guess it has been helpful in a way, in that it is forcing me to bring to bear why I believe what I believe to my children. But, this review should be a warning to you, in that unless you want your children to be exposed to and indoctrinated into this lady's world view about politics and religion, you should stay far away from it. Public discourse is a good thing, but a Driver's Education Class is NOT the venue that I want my children to be exposed to this type of 'teaching'. I will not ever allow her to teach any of my other children, and I will most certainly tell anyone who asks me NOT to go to this school. Read Less
