I had a very good experience with bobby driving school. I took couple of lessons before going for the behind the wheel test. The instructions and tips given by bobby were very helpful. I already know driving but have never driven before in US, the lessons helped me a lot l. What you see how people drive and how you do it behind wheel are two different things. I took just one session from Bobby's driving school before my drive test and I have got the license in my 1st attempt. He is good but the price he charges is way more than a great instructor. It doesn't feel good when he only gives you the driving one way to pick up some one or drop some one. PERFECT choice for new learners !!!!! I just got my license with 0 mistake in Fremont DMV last Wednesday and it was all about Bobby. He is a wonderful instructor, he is strict but he knows how to teach students drive safely and gives lots of good tips. I used to take classes from other driving schools, all of them are useless, the only common thing about them is the teachers kept pushing brake in the passenger seat coz they are afraid...huge disadvantage when students take their driving test. Bad customer service. He was pretty rude! He asked me to call him on a Sunday night to check for availability and when i called he said im out right now. Okay so I asked when should i call? he said he will call me back. he never did. Then the next day I called him again to make an appointment because if he cant i will just go for another driving class. Then he asked me "are you going to send me your name and address after your lesson?"Okay first of all, i NEED to know what time you're available to work our time together. But you were just being rude and did not even entertain me. I wouldnt want to give you my info unless we both agreed on it. I would like to totally disagree with the number of recent bad reviews, Bobby is amazing, I found him on Yelp am nearly 40 and was petrified to take the test, never took one in my own country because I was so nervous and had convinced myself I was going to fail! He was kind, calming and put me at ease from day one, he has been doing this a long time and knows his stuff. His job is to correct you if you make mistakes and tell you how to do it the right way so you can pass your test, if you can't handle that why go to him in the first place.. Was pretty surprised to see all these good reviews after having a lesson with Bobby. I had a horrible experience with him. I just drove around for 2 hours and 40 minutes while getting no advice and without any corrections to my mistakes. My lesson was supposed to be 2 hours but Bobby had me go on the freeway with traffic. He made plenty of rude and offensive remarks and kept unnecessarily grabbing the wheel from me while never saying I was doing something wrong. He also was incredibly rude to the student that came after me. Bobby yelled at her, belittled her, and it seemed as she was ready to cry. I was only in the car with her driving for 10 minutes. This all happened in one lesson. If you go to Bobby you will not pass your driving test. I went to one nation driving school after one lesson with Bobby. They have much better instructors and they are also $100 cheaper. Read Less

Very disappointing service. As I saw some good review in Yelp thinking would be worth giving a shot as all reviews, after taking few lesson. I realize the trainer was not even well capable to train instead he demotivate his student yelling at student for mistake, as he should know they are in learning stage. Very discouraging and not very charming to deal with. He is just there not explaining how to drive in a smooth way. He is just there to make people hard earn money. I had driving experience, but it was on manual car and never driven in the US. Surinder was quick in understanding my learning needs and focused on those during our driving sessions. He understands what DMV inspector will check during the test. I took 2 sessions, one hour session before the test and cleared on first attempt. I recently moved to the Bay Area with not too much driving experience. It was easy getting the permit, however, behind the wheel was another story altogether. I took the test three times at the Hayward Dmv (on my own) and failed all 3 for the simplest mistakes (that according to Bobby would have been overlooked had those happened while taking the test with the Fremont Dmv). After this I called Bobby and I told him the entire Hayward Dmv fiasco and the first thing he said was to go to the Fremont Dmv, which is a lot better. Long story short, I got my license today at the Fremont Dmv! And could not have done it without Bobby's help and teaching! Thank you so much Bobby! I think he is a very good teacher. I came with no experience what so ever but in just 10 minutes he put me on the street which was scary but was very helpful. He puts a lot of trust in you and is very relaxed in every situation. Which makes it very easy to learn driving. The only thing I didn't look like was he was sometimes not loud enough for me but that might also be because I have trouble hearing and I'm not a Native American Speaker. Read Less

My wife went with Surinder Singh from Bobby Driving School. She had flunked her exam quite a few times prior to taking classes from Mr. Singh. He took two classes with her and I could see the difference in her confidence levels. The tips also given by them were fantastic which my wife was able to mentally practice while even I was driving with her sitting next to me.I would give them 5 stars for driving style and driving tips.
