Got instructor bob for my driving class. Very experienced and guided me very well. I am really satisfied. Only one thing you should note is, mention time to your instructor when you sit in driving seat, and calculate 2 hours from then. I lost 15 mins, we dropped someone and then my class started. My daughter took her 2nd driving lesson with A-1 because the first company sucked!!!!I drove along in the backseat and I was impressed.....her previous teacher let her drive while talking on the cell phone the entire time....not A-1, they actually taught!!!!Very professional, friendly and I would recommend to everyone!  A+ in my book! After taking two behind the wheel lessons I learn a lot about driving and is not expensive 2 hr lessons for 85. I would recommend this school if anyone wants to learn. The driving instructor is Tom and he  currents your mistakes in traffics and turns. He loves to talk and he does speak Spanish so yes you'll find yourself distracted. Just be aware if you need a couple of lessons again and you wait a month, he'll talk about the same thing like the last lesson it'll be like déjà vu again. One thing to know too is he knows about the driver's test wait times if you thinking about taking the test after this. Read Less

Hey guys I'm Kim. I JUST GOT MY DEIVERS LICENSE!! Thanks to my instructor Tom. He was persistent in pointing out my errors. I'm glad that I did a few extra practice with him before my test in Pleasanton where the DMV instructor will take me. He knows how to keep conversations to make you feel comfortable and relax while driving. I must say perfect appointment system and always a reminder call for the lesson. Tom is a very good and funny guy he taught me very well. When your driving with him you don't feel nervous actually you feel like a pro. Yeah, the Czech, Spanish speaking instructor's name is Tom. He's a pretty nice and patient, but what I didn't like was how he forgets the days to pick me up and making me drive all the way to Pleasanton just to use the bathroom. Read Less

I went to this driving school when I was 17. I forget the name of my instructor, but he he was from the Czech Republic, and he said he taught Spanish and Gym at a local high school. What a full life he must lead. He picked me up in this Geo, and we started driving around. He kept calling me his baby. "Turn left my little baby. Make a U-turn now baby." First we drove through Hayward, and I was turning left and right and being his little baby. Then he had me pull into a Jack in the Box and turn off the engine. He went inside and got some food and started eating it in the car, he didn't offer me food! Maybe he thought I should lose some weight. Haha I SHOULD. Then he had me drive some more left and right and straight ahead, little baby, and then we pulled into the Hayward Post Office. He grabbed some mail from the glove box and walked it inside! Dude. I was running his fucking errands. But that's actually genius! I want to work at a driving school! Then later he pointed for me to turn, and the band aid on his index finger flew off into my lap, then he grabbed it off my lap, which basically meant he half way grabbed my crotch to get it, and was all aplogetic. Gross dude. As I recall a couple weekends at this school didn't cost me much more than $50, although this was years ago. It's probably still hella cheap. Without my Czech man, I probably wouldn't be driving today. At least not quite in the manner that I do. Consider this place recommended. Read Less
