Both my mom and I have had great experiences with Gonzalez driving school. In particularly with the instructor Angelica. She is very detailed and patient. She takes her time explaining the rules and is very knowledgeable. She works great with people who are afraid to drive and have little experience. After the lessons, you leave well prepared for the driving test. I wholeheartedly  recommend her! Read Less

I would give 0 stars if I could. One time I called someone who had no record of my mentor paying for my classes. He did not know what he was agreeing to because I asked him if my lessons expire and he is like yes.This man acted so unprofessional , and mocked me. I hope it was not the owner because that would a shame. He claimed he did not care if I called Better Business Bureau!!! Moral of story do not come and waste your money here. Read Less

If you're going to pay this place for driving lessons, make sure you get taught with a great instructor. I was chosen to get Hugh as an instructor, and all I can simply say was that he was awesome at teaching due to his helpful techniques and knowledge. I came to this place with little driving experience and having poor driving skills, to eventually being a confident and skilled driver. I definitely recommend building your driving skills at this place, but make sure you get Hugh or any other instructor that can teach you the best way possible. Read Less

Save your money!!!!! Go to another driving school. I got the 6 hours for $200 my instructor was an older lady. She was not friendly at all she would be yelling and getting frustrated. The last day of class she made me park for first time she got mad I didn't do it correctly she made rude comments and made me so mad I wanted to go home. After that she made very racist comments about Latinos that they were lazy she is latina herself! When I told my father he was very angry and wanted a refund. Well people save your money and go somewhere else. I called two other driving schools in Compton before settling with this one. I was told on the phone that 6hrs was $200 and that if I needed to rent a car for the dmv test it would be $90. Mr Jose Gonzalez said if I got 6hrs of lessons I'd get the rental for $60. That's a little more than most but they were able to start my lessons ASAP. My instructor, Angelica, showed upon time. However she spoke very little English! Horrible instructor. While teaching me to park she always had me park more than a foot away from the curb. She was nice enough but the language was a problem. So I figured my next lesson would be with someone who spoke better English. Wrong! She showed up and after tells me I'm not ready for the DMV test and need another six hours of lessons. I said no thanks. I get ready for the last lessons and she says the same thing. I politely declined. When she drops me off she tells me she'll be here an hour before my dmv appointment. So the day of my dmv test gets here. She's supposed to be here at 12pm. She didn't arrive until about 15minutes before my DMV test. Needless to say I failed and afterwards she tells me, "I told you so, you need more lessons." When I informed her that I would be getting more lessons from someone else she got offended and was pissed because she was late picking up another student.
