George was an amazing instructor for my son, and was gracious enough to give me updates on my son's progress everyday. He's very honest, and even tried to refund me and cancel 2 of my son's lessons, because he felt his driving was very good. I appreciated his honesty, but continued with all the lessons, because George taught my son things, that I would not have thought to bring up during our driving sessions. George arrived 23 min late.  His car didn't have any driving school signs nor a STUDENT DRIVER sign. He was rude after I told him that I didn't feel safe that my daughter would be with him. Great school for your teens to learn how to drive. Signed my son up and was super nervous to let him go with someone I didn't know but George made me feel so comfortable. He has his own kids that were my sons age and he has been in the business for many years. I had my daughter first go with another local driving school. We both felt she didn't learn much from them after the 6 hrs behind the wheel. I decided to go with West Coast for another 6 hrs for her. I'm so glad I did. Jorge, the owner, was great. He was very patient, pleasant and most of all, helped her to become a better and more confident driver. I would definitely recommend this driving school to everyone there, because I had very less knowledge about the driving and all the rules in it, but Gabby made me do everything very nicely ..!! For a first time David was my instructor I would say it went so so. The first two days he was over 20 minutes late and I know I was far (corona) but I mean it's his job to accommodate for that. Now he did give me back that time. But I feel like as a business it wasn't handled professionally enough. For the driving as a student for the first time a little more patience and less agitation would be helpful. I was referred by a good friend of mine to try out Gabby for my niece.  My brother had paid a lot of money for her first driving instructor and did not work for her.  I had my niece to try out six hours with Gabby and she finally passed the driving test.  Recently, I have her younger sister who also took a driving lesson with Gabby and she also passed the driving test within six hours practiced.  Both of my nieces said very highly about Gabby.  She was very patients with them and taught them whatever they needed help. Gabby was my 4th Instructor and definitely the best one. She is kind and very professional. She would correct my mistake in a constructive way. She would chat a little but will go back to the scope of the driving topic which i appreciate. Their lessons are very reasonably priced and you really get quality lessons. Super irritated with this unprofessional company!  I scheduled three appointments in advance with Gabby and today was supposed to be my daughters first appt.  NO SHOW.  When I called to see what happened, they have a recording that their office will be closed for two weeks!  They couldnt have picked up the phone and rescheduled?  I should have known they were unethical when they provided me the pricing and asked for 1/2 the payment upfront in cash...Stay away! One word: GABBY!!! :) During my 6 hour behind the wheel training with her, I have learned so many things about driving. I felt more confident after my first 2 hour lesson with her. I thought driving school would be awkward, but after having a conversation with her, I realized that Gabby is so outgoing and friendly. Definitely attend this school if you are looking to pass the DMV test or if you think you need improvement on the road. Today, I passed my DMV driving test at Norco. I had one of the hardest instructors (from what my friends have told me) and I didn't feel too nervous because of the immense preparation Gabby had for me. She is super chill and doesn't yell at you or anything when you make a mistake. I thought I was a fairly good driver, until she pointed out my mistakes. I don't feel nervous anymore driving and I really feel that you get what you pay for at this driving school. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYBODY!! Two of my kids have used this school and we've been very happy. Both have their licenses now. Most recently (about a year ago) my son drove with Jorge, who was both friendly and patient, and gave him a lot of confidence in his driving abilities. He passed his behind-the-wheel test the first time. :-) Unfortunately, I'm trying to get my daughter signed up and they have had some changes, which is why I'm writing this review. Their online class no longer works, but the website isn't updated so it's hard to tell (it still allowed me to pay). Their price has gone up - used to be $199 for online and behind-the-wheel combined, now they no longer offer the online class and the behind-the-wheel is $220 by itself. However, we liked Jorge so much that I'm going to try to find an inexpensive online class for my daughter to take so I can still have her take the behind-the-wheel training with him. I do highly recommend Jorge, but just be aware that they don't have the online class and the website is out-of-date. Read Less

This review is for Miss Gabby. She is amazing and the most helpful teacher I've ever met. I had problem with driving, nervous and scared of driving. In the first lesson, Gabby helped me overcome it, both emotionally and physically. Every time I made a mistake, she never blamed me or make fun of me or raise her voice. Instead, she patiently taught me how to make the movement and make me practice more times. She is fun, skillful, patient and just so so nice. If anyone is looking for a driving instructor I highly recommend Gabby! Today I took my drivers test and passed! Gabby is so patient and attentive. She doesn't startle you or raise her voice when you make a mistake. She kindly corrects you and has you go back and try again until you get it done right! I was always a nervous wreck when others would try to teach me how to drive, but within the first hour of being instructed by Gabby I already felt an improvement and confidence with my driving skills! I took 3 classes, two hours each. She gave me the option of my last class being taken the day of my test that way I can get somepractice in and ease my nerves before moving onto my test. This is a wonderful driving school! I was initially very nervous about driving, but Gabby was so patient! She was extremely helpful and informative about the rules of the road as well as the driving test!Expect to get behind the wheel right from the get go on your first session. It may seem intimidating at first, but the instructor will guide you through the process! Besides having your instructor pick you up, you may also find yourself having to drive home the student who had been having their lesson before you. This is a great way for getting accustomed to having more people inside the car.And don't be afraid to ask them any questions you might have about street rules and/or the driving test! I found this company based on other Yelp reviews, and am so glad that we did. My son was a hesitant driver who did not show much interest in getting his license. After just one lesson with George, he had so much confidence and was excited about learning to drive. George also communicated with us in such a professional and positive manner throughout our experience. Since my son had an appointment for his behind the wheel test at Pomona, rather than our local area, I asked if George could take him around the location prior to the test. My son opted to do this the morning of his test, and use the driving school vehicle as well. The end result...a perfect score on his driving test! And I know he is a safe and confident driver thanks to the fantastic driver traing he received at West Coast Driving School. I had my first two lessons with Gabby. At first I was really afraid of speed, but just after an hour of driving in my first class, I felt more comfortable than I was at the beginning. After taking driving lessons at another school, I still didn't feel prepared, so I came to this one. It was definitely the right choice. I had all 3 of my lessons with George, he is an awesome instructor! He helped me feel at ease while driving, even while on the dreaded freeway. He also gave me a lot of tips on how/what the DMV grades to prepare me for the road test, I'm almost certain I wouldn't have passes without those. Instead, I got my licence on the first attempt. After 3 classes with him, I came out a muuuuch better driver than I was before, eve after having already taken lessons at another school. I would most definitely recommend West Coast Driving School! My daughter felt 100% comfortable with George... Even on the freeway. She said he was very calm, even driving with people that don't really know how to drive. She did 3 days in a row during a week when I was gone. They happily accommodated a last minute lesson before my driving test to help boost my confidence and taught me very, very well. I cannot recommend West Coast Driving School enough.... truly very happy with them. I hired them for a ~1.5 hour lesson + use of their vehicle for my sister's road test at the Pomona DMV for $105. George, the owner, taught my sister, and he gave her TONS of tips about how the DMV scores its points. She said that if she hadn't gotten the lesson with George, she's positive she would have failed because she wouldn't have known to look at every intersection, which is -2 points each time. Other techniques he employed to make her more aware of the speed limit and stop signs as well as when she should drive as slow as she feels comfortable with, really helped her with the road test. She only got 3 points off!WCDS also offers driver's training, 6 hours for $200, and they do offer pick up and drop off service as far west as West Covina and the Covina area. I had a great experience with them, cannot emphasize that enough, and I am grateful that I don't have to take my sister back for another road test and pay additional $$! So relieved :DTip:You should hire a car from a driving school for any road test because there are dual brake/accelerator pedals on the front passenger side. My sister's DMV road test person was able to help her during the test by speeding up or braking as needed so she didn't have any major points deducted. Read Less
