During my first visit, had a great lunch at the 718 restaurant while watching the activities take place on the track area below that the restaurant overlooks. Had 3 people tend to my table of just one, they were extremely professional and had a great wealth of Porsche knowledge and were able to answer all of my questions regarding the cars and the facility, very impressive... Before leaving I explored the gift shop, lower cafe, and simulator area. The next day I booked an experience for the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo. Read Less

Great experience and friendly staff. Enjoy the center with all their cars on display.  The 90 minute session was a real treat and let you see what a Porsche can really do and push it to it's limits.  Great way to acquainted with your car and learn the principals, at least, of how to handle different road conditions! The PEC is amazing! The customer experience is top notch. Carol and Michelle helped get my friend and I booked with the driving experience and the simulation. If you're going to do one or the other, I highly recommend the driving experience. It is worth every penny. I chose the Cayman S, which was $425 for a 90 minute session. For 90 minutes, my coach, Jonathan Sugianto, gave me the experience of a lifetime. For a moment, I felt like a race car driver. For 90 minutes, you will have the opportunity to push the car to its limits and learn how to handle various dangerous situations as well as how to race around a circuit. Everything you will learn will help build your confidence and skills leading up to the race around the track. Jonathan was patient, encouraging, and articulate. He got me to the point where we were lapping other drivers in much faster cars. When you book your driving experience, I highly recommend that you request Jonathan. Read Less

I really hate this place! First off, let me tell you why I hate it so much. I consider myself a huge Porsche fanboy as they've been my favorite car brand for awhile now. I truly believe they make quality products and the really stand behind their brand. I found out about this place when I was in Norcal and I couldn't wait to come check it out. Arriving to the parking lot of this automotive Disneyland, I saw exotic customer Porsche's in the lot. I already knew by this moment that it was going to be a good day. Tip: Anyone can walk in and get a visitor pass by checking into the front desk! The showroom floor included many new and old school Porsches(911R, 959, 917, another racecar, etc.) and they even have an autobody glass exhibit to the right where you can see even more Porsche's being worked on. As I walked through the lobby and saw out to the track and probably around 40-50 GT3's, Turbos, GT4's, Carrera S/4S parked there, my jaw instantly dropped. The color combos were mostly the exotic blue, purple, orange, and black. I hate this place because now it makes me want a Porsche THAT MUCH MORE!! With the free visitor pass, they allow you to walk to the patio, balcony of the 917 restaurant upstairs, and through the store. I wish I got to see more of the Porsche's on the track whizzing by and hearing those naturally aspirated flat 6's growl but there were hardly any driving. Overall, awesome experience if you are a car enthusiast and even more if you are a Porsche fanboy/girl. Walking out, there was a special posted that they do everyday I believe. $120 at 12:30 or 5:45 every day to sit as a passenger in a Turbo S or GT3 for two laps in the handling circuit. I definitely have to make a trip back to test out the G force in these cars with a professional driver and eat at the Restaurant 917 with the Porsche shaped butter! Read Less

I got a true sense of how fast a pro driver is he was super quick. This is quite possibly the most fun you can have for under $500. The facility is awesome the choices of cars are awesome. This place is absolutely incredible! From the moment you step into their parking lot and see all the nice rides parked in the lot to the track where all of the Cayman GT4s, 911s, GT3s, etc were at. They have a really nice lobby showcasing tons of classic and enthusiast-owned cars as well as a "clean" room where techs work on race cars! The experience is a pretty penny but totally worth the price. I bought the Cayman GT4 experience for my boyfriend's birthday and he let it be known it was the best gift ever. In my boyfriend's words,    "Everything about the experience, which included aggressive laps around the track, learning how to control a car on a wet skid pad, drifting on a low friction track, and a flat out section which included the famous carousel from the Nurburgring, was absolutely mind blowing. The instructor I had, Armen, was one of the most down to earth and bad ass drivers I've seen. He made the experience enjoyable."We didn't have a chance to enjoy the restaurant but I did hear from others that the entrees were pretty appetizing. Maybe we'll be back here for my birthday next year! Read Less

Really cool experience my girlfriend surprised me with for my birthday. She booked the simulator experience which was really cool. You get to test drive any model of Porsche on some race tracks and it's super fun. It's basically a fancy video game but I had a lot of fun. It was really hard and took a little time getting used to, but it was a great experience. If you have the money you can drive some of the cars on their race track which start around $400 for about 90 minutes. Maybe I'll try that one day, but for now, the video game simulation was enough for me. Great place to come have some fun and they have a good restaurant upstairs where you can wTch people drive around the course. Read Less

I opted to book time with one of the simulators and an instructor gave me pointers which was a surprisingly good learning experience. Afterwards we had an excellent lunch at their fine dining restaurant - great setting, service, decor and the farro chicken salad was something I would definitely go back for since it was outstanding.  We met people who have been there multiple times to hone their driving skills and I can see why. True this out today for the first time and had a blast.  My instructor was Eric San Vicente and he was incredible.  He was fun, focused and engaging and provided excellent feedback throughout the 1.5 hour Mid vs Rear Engine session we drove together.  I had more drive time than expected and so that was great.  Loved learning about how to correct overdrive and under drive in the low friction circuits.  My main favorite, however was driving the 1 mile handling circuit and the launch control on your way to the Karussell replica.I have a CaymanS so it was a lot of fun to experience the 2017 911 Targa 4S and the 2017 BoxterS.  You can feel the difference in weight the second the car moves.  This truly was a blast and I was able to push myself through the encouragement and coaching of Eric.  I walked away wanting more and will definitely do this again.  The Porsche brand just sucks you in.  Be careful if you go do this and don't already have a Porsche as you might just want to go pick one up! This was a superb experience! Starting with the reception area, where you immediately walk in to see several cool Porsche's on display. I had opted for the driving simulator before my actual track experience; however, I decided to do it after the experience instead since all of the simulators were being used. My instructor, Mike, came to find me about 10 minutes before I was up. He was really nice and gave me an overview of the facilities and what I should expect. The actual track experience was awesome; they start you off with the kick plate (designed to induce loss of rear wheel traction, putting the car into a skid or spin) and they show you how to  actually deal with that situation to ensure you don't lose control. I really enjoyed Mike's approach of showing me the wrong way to do it and the right way to do it; it put things in perspective. Next up we proceeded to the launch control, which is close to a mile long straight track to go as fast as possible. Mike did a great job at pointing out all of the check points where I should break/accelerate. We continued on to the low friction circle, the ice hill and the low friction handling course. All of these give you great handling and steering practice. Finally, Mike took me to the handling circuit. He performed the first lap to show me the in's and out's of the circuit and I was able to go through the circuit several times. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Mike made the experience very enjoyable with his pleasant teaching style, and he was also very patient throughout. All of the cars are in excellent shape and the facilities really are state of the art! I hear the restaurant is amazing and the gift shop has a lot to offer (although expect to pay high prices). Whether you just want to have a fun/adrenaline filled experience or you are actually in the market to buy a Porsche, this experience is so worth it! Read Less

Stopped by here to check it out it's not only close by my work but also close to home as well. Once upon entering you have to sign in at the front desk and they will give you a visitors pass if you just wanna check the place out. Other business like driving or other things you have to fill out paperwork and you'll get a different type of badge. It's a small showroom in the front you can browse the cars on display but not touch then you can go into the store behind the store is a cafe to grab a snack if you want and you can sit by the window and watch the track which is a limited sight. There is a restaurant upstairs which I didn't check out but you get a better view of the track and can see more. There are individual rooms around for particular models I guess if you have any questions about them you can ask. There is also a build you own car room and a simulator room which you have to pay for. Also to test drive you have pay a hefty amount I didn't get a breakdown but I heard it costs a lot. If you purchased a new Porsche I believe you get to drive on the track not sure on those details. Overall a cool place if you're a Porsche fan then by all means go check this out. I would go back and try the restaurant and check out the view. Read Less

What an incredible, adrenaline inducing facility! As a long time auto and Porsche enthusiast, I was thrilled to learn that PECLA recently opened to the public. Earlier this week, my two friends and I had a need for speed, so we made our way down to the track for some demo laps. I've always wanted to get a feel of what the GT3 RS can really do on a track and was beyond impressed...and now I'm hooked. After doing some laps with the GT3 and GT4 we popped into the upstairs restaurant for a post lap lunch. The restaurant is stunning and overlooks the track. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal with some entertainment courtesy of drivers that were out on the track. Everything we ordered from the menu was not only delectable, but aesthetically pleasing as well. Service was great, too. My one friend enjoyed the beef and dumplings, the other said the burger he ordered was in his top 5 of all time (it looked amazing!), and I had the chicken salad. Fresh, delicious, and the perfect portion size. From the lobby, to the merchandise store, the track, coffee shop, and restaurant, which we visited each, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, professional, and friendly. We hope to return again soon and take up some coaching next time so we can further improve our driving skills. If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting the center and taking some cars out on the track with an instructor! Read Less

I was lucky enough to be invited by Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) to preview the facility the day before it opened to the public. everything was so well designed and laid out, I can't imagine my experience was any different than what the retail customer will experience tomorrow.any Porschephile or SoCal motorhead knows about this facility and has been excitedly waiting for this day for a couple years; news and the sight of the site under construction just adjacent to the 405 near the goodyear blimp and the large figure clad in motorsports attire has whetted our interest as we pass by.this is definitely an adult amusement park for motoring enthusiasts, complete with (real but simulated) "rides," eating facilities and static displays of droolworthy Porsches from historical icons like the 959 on loan from the Porsche museum, to the ultra rare R (the so called "GT car with manual") that was already trading well over MSRP even before production began.there is also a working garage that has something to do with Porsche Motorsports...WOW!As Mr. Oosterhuizen so wisely noted, expectations must be properly managed - this is NOT a racetrack (helmets not required, even on the road coarse) but it IS a facility where 1. the performance aspects of Porsches specifically, and cars in general, can be safely experienced for the first time by initiates;2. those with some experience with performance driving can practice specific skills on well designed and permanent modules like icy hill descent or skidpad or the kickplate run that simulates hitting a patch of black ice.3. skilled and experienced coaches will work with you, whether you are a beginner who has never experienced snap oversteer or an intermediate just looking for feedback and fine tuning on managing throttle control and vehicle rotation.there is something for everyone, though I must warn those with regular track time under their belts - this is more an e ticket ride (though very real!) than practice or preparation for racing season.with a well stocked retail store and what look like beautifully designed and managed meeting and dining facilities, this is definitely a must visit for driving enthusiasts and motor heads, especially for Porschephiles and those looking to experience just what that Porsche model can do before pulling the trigger. you will experience scenarios here, safely and well coached, that no salesperson or local law enforcement will allow even on the longest of extended test drives. the range of available current models is wide and deep.a 4plus star hangout for performance driving enthusiasts, though again, this is NOT a race track!book now!

Read Less

This was my second time to the Porsche Driving Experience, this time I drove a 911 Targa GTS 4. My instructor was Jorge Cevallus an Indy Lights pro driver. I got a true sense of how fast a pro driver is he was super quick. This is quite possibly the most fun you can have for under $500. The facility is awesome the choices of cars are awesome. You want to drive a Porsche GTS Turbo? step right up,its available to drive. Does it make me want to buy another Porsche?  Yes! but at $146,000 for the car I drove, driving it hard and fast for an hour and half for $500 bucks is an steal! Read Less
