Oh dear. Um...I got lessons from this lady a year or two ago... My experience was not a pleasant one. Get this. The very first day she takes me out for our 2 hour session, she gets a phone call and has me pull over, park, and wait for about 15 min or so as she's arguing and getting frustrated over the phone with someone. I find out that very call was to inform her that HER DRIVING LICENSE EXPIRED. If I could bold that sentence, I would. A very upsetting news report to hear to say the least. A week later, she comes back and I guess resolved the situation, she printed out her renewed license and gave a copy to me as proof which I appreciated, but I was still a bit skeptical about that first impression. She would have me drive to places that were highly unfamiliar to me, and she would ANSWER CLIENT PHONE CALLS AND SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS DURING THE DRIVE. I was half the time freaking out in the car because she wasn't pointing me where to go, or not even looking at the road for that matter since she was scribbling stuff down in her note book. The car we used had a pedal for the shotgun seat so she could control speed and breaks too, and I constantly found her interfering with the breaks far too soon before a stop. I know she wants to take precautions, but it still irritated me. I couldn't figure out the breaks or figure out the timing for them because she kept interfering constantly. For someone who pushed me to go out on the highway like a bird being pushed out of its nest for the first time, she sure didn't want me having total control for the speed situation (despite me abiding by all speed limits quite nicely) She did not respond well to my mistakes well at all either. Mind you, these were not life threatening highway ride mistakes... I got confused in the middle of an intersection and didn't know when to turn, and she started freaking out and said "oh great! You're gonna get a ticket now!" ????? There's a sticker on the car saying this is a student-driven vehicle, there were no cars honking or anything, they were waiting patiently for me to make my non-right-away left turn very nicely. We weren't in any danger, there weren't any cops around, she just did not respond well to my confusion or help calm any anxiety. If anything, she provoked it. During both drives, she started talking in-depth about her current personal life and her opinions on sensitive matters (which I will not share for the sake of her privacy and personal reputation) that I deemed highly inappropriate for her to talk about to her driving student/client (me) DURING our session. (or heck, even outside of a session) It was appalling. I mean, during the times where the drive was going fine, she would praise me and say I was an excellent driver and all, but her reactions were very bipolar. You never knew when she'd flip a coin's face on you. She would raise my confidence only to knock it back down again if I made a small rookie mistake..... it wasn't good. I ended up getting so frustrated and anxious, that I did not want to go through with a third and final session. I just did not want to be put through another 2 hours of this. (I wonder if I should have forced myself to deal with it because I later found out my car insurance charges me more because of incomplete driving lessons for my certain age or whatever...go figure )My mother contacted the lady again to ask for a refund, only for the final drive since I did not want to go through with it, and now we find out she won't refund us. $100+ gone down the drain in exchange for nothing. ( or potentially $300+ for the whole session gone down the drain since I felt even my own parents could have taught me better.) So those of you interested in this business, be wise with your money, because if you pay for this, you won't get it back. I don't even recall her really asking me about the rules of the road too well, or giving me tips about certain laws or issues dealt with when it came to driving. She kinda just sat back and pointed me where to go for things and just observed as I experienced. Wasn't very helpful. ~~~My experience was very unsettling and I would not recommend this business to anyone learning to drive. I had to sit there quietly and friendly while this lady continued to disappoint me... it was very shameful and felt unprofessional. I wish my first driving experience had been a better one. Read Less
