I've taken several lessons, and I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this driving school! He came late to several lessons. He gets angry if you make a mistake. He even makes other stops during the lesson. One time he stopped to grab a Real Estate brochure! He is also quite distracted and is constantly on the phone making appointments with students...while I (his student at the time!) was driving! He is distracted, impatient, untimely, and overall an instructor that I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend. very poor costumer service, starting with the lady that answered the phone in the office,who didn't put me on hold but had me on the phone while she talked with another costumer for 20 minutes .She later on told me that she was the manager or person in charge. To be honest ,don't waste your money here. The lack of communication for a small business is off the wall. ok this is mostly for the instructor because when asked why they didn't have a female instructor, he replied because we don't trust them. Since when does gender matter. This is America where everyone should be treated equal. I get it, he's old but that was just RUDE.... he's name is Arrat .Don't go with him because he'll do most of the driving and then expect you to push the pedals gas/break simultaneously,and constantly touch the wheel and just acts frustrated. Not encouraging at all also i notice the alignment of the car might have been off. He blamed my driving(of course i'm new) But I've driven before, as matter of fact i did today with my awesome female instructor who i asked if i was swerving at all and she said no. (i can recommend her to you guys if you want) anyways also what pissed me off was the lack of respect and willingness to work with the client. He wouldn't schedule the rest of my classes and told me to not call the office. But i just had to after the first and only class. I asked for a different driver but the lady assumed that i was discriminating against the old guy, uhmmm excuse me! this guy was totally sexist ,how am i supposed to be comfortable sitting in a car with him. I got a recommendation, hire new people! stop being rude asshole to costumers. Don't tell them you're gonna sue them over $80 . Seriously the worst service and experience i had. it's not my fault you don't communicate to your drivers about your payment arrangements.  He was supposed to bring me over to the office but didn't want to when i asked him to. The driving instructor, staff, and service was great! Myself, my husband and both of my daughters went to him for driving lessons and we couldnt have picked a better instuctor. Price was great and i would really recommend Ararat to everyone. Read Less

The older man, Ara is a poor driving instructor. Not to be rude but he is VERY impatient and tends to grab the wheel when the students make a mistake which is not necessary when he could give you constructive criticism you need to fix the mistake. He doesn't say much at all just when you need directions and has no advice to give you whatsoever. He is a nice man but a poor driving instructor. He tends to just sit there and watch instead of teach and takes you on the same routes over and over and doesn't allow the student to get used to different scenarios. My son had his first lesson a few weeks ago, they were on time and attentive.  The older man, Ara didn't talk much but gave instruction when necessary.  The next appointment he called to cancel due to a family emergency. A week later he called to say he couldn't make the rescheduled appointment but would send "a friend" to do the instructing.  The friend was half hour late.  My son was only instructed to drive straight, making no maneuvers and did not receive any instruction. In the middle of the class the instructor had him pull over at a bakery because he had to use the restroom and came out of the bakery with a bag full of baked goods!  ON the way back from the bakery the instructor basically took over the wheel and did not allow my son to drive the rest of the time.  Then cut my son's class short 20 minutes!  Obviously, their clients are not their first priority. There were no instructions on maneuvering, review of what would be on the test or any communication whatsoever as to actually TEACHING my son the rules of the road.  They have yet to arrange the final class for my son. I knew the basics but I was really scared of driving. I was really bad with turning and I was totally scared of driving over 25mph. Lol. I decided to take 6 hours of classes from Burbank Driving School and I got over my fear! The instructors were very encouraging and  makes you feel that you're always safe with them. My turns and speed improved dramatically and I passed my driving test on my first try! Oh and their prices are good and reasonable too. Read Less

I remember taking lessons here when I first started out driving.  The people in charge are easy to talk to and nice. The old guy who teaches you is not bad at all. Although a little impatient, he doesn't yell at you.  He constantly advises you throughout the lesson when you make mistakes so you're definitely aware of them. Now my youngest brother is taking lessons from this guy, and he thinks he's a good teacher for pretty much the same reasons as mine. And they've been using toyota scions for lessons, so it's all right.  The instructor liked to step out for a smoke here and there though, while on the lesson.  It might be a nervous habit he's developed over the years from having taught so many newbies lol =/ Read Less

i had a bad experience , For my first class the instructor came 15 minute late, the next two  classes  the instructor came later and later, they were 45 minutes to an hour late. I am in school, and and skipped class to make my appointments. Read Less
