My time with city driving school was a wonderful experience! I won't lie, I was pretty hesitant about learning to drive from a total stranger but I didn't have any other options available to me at the moment so if I wanted to drive, driver big school was the only way to go. My instructor was much more laid back, kind, and understanding than I expected and we got along really well. When it came to driving he was really patient with me and when it came time for my exam, he was much more confident in my driving abilities than I was! I am so happy that City Driving School was my first and only choice. I had the chance to be taught by Edward and he was very outstanding. Hands down they have a great team. I highly recommend this school and my instructor Edward!!! I have never driven a car before so I was very anxious about driving, but Edward made me feel very comfortable. He is the best driving instructor you could ask for---very patient, professional (always on time, and he always let me know when he was on his way to pick me up), and he has great tips on how to drive carefully on the crazy LA roads. He even helped me book an appointment for the test, and thanks to him, I passed the driving test on my very first try. Incredible driving instructors! I give city driving school my highest recommendation :) I'm a foreign USC student, 18+, had really minimal prior driving experience (got behind the wheel only twice beforehand), and I found this place through searching online/ yelp, so I was really nervous. Edward was my instructor for almost all of my lessons and he's fantastic! Very knowledgeable, calm, friendly, and patiently points out any mistakes. He really goes above and beyond, even helping me get comfortable on the freeway and teaching me parallel parking-- these are not on the test but he knew I would need to know these to drive in LA. Edward also helped me to book the test (giving advice on which one to take it at), and accompanied me to the DMV. Since I had so little experience and didn't have my own car to practice with, I took 10 lessons total before the test and passed on the first try (!!) but everyone has a different learning pace. They try to stick to the same instructor for each student, but for one of my lessons, Edgar subbed in and he's really great too! Honestly, I can't stress enough--this school is the best. (I'm a student who took lessons with the school, and concluded my lessons recently. This is my completely honest and unbiased opinion. No one paid me or bribed me, etc. I'm really just blown away by how awesome this experience has been :) and genuinely enthusiastic about other people feeling this high I feel from being a newly licensed and confident driver) thank you Edward, Edgar, and city driving school!! This school is awesome. I had zero experience driving and I was taught by Edward. He is very patient and knowledgeable. Though I was very nervous and had major anxiety, Edward manage to make each lesson as easy as possible. Ruth was very helpful getting me ready for the written exam and I passed it! Yay! f you are looking for a behind the wheel class whether you have some or no experience, look no further. City Driving School taught me everything I needed to be a safe driver in a matter of 6 hours! My instructor Edward is as good as it gets. He is very patient when it comes down to teaching. When you don't understand something, Edward takes the time to explain the concept and makes sure you understand it. Overall at the end of those 6 hours I was able to go to the DMV and get my license. As for the company itself, City Driving School has the best customer service. I called in on a Monday and they were able to schedule me in that same day to prepare for my exam that upcoming Wednesday. As for the day of my exam, City Driving School offers to borrow their car you use to practice for the exam. The car itself is a beautiful Toyota. What I love about the car that most drivers ed classes don't have is that the instructor has a set of gas and brake pedals in the passenger seat to ensure that you are safe in case there is a situation on the road. Overall, City Driving School is professional, safe, affordable, and an effective school that will teach you what you need to be a safe driver and get your license. Read Less

Took classes here when I had zero experience behind the wheel. Got Edgar as an instructor, very nice and friendly, helps u relax and makes u feel comfortable. I took 3 lessons for 2hrs each and decided to take the test. Passed on the first try. Gotta say it was thanks to the instructor. The best decision I have made in a while is finally taking driving lessons at City Driving School. I was so scared of driving until I forced myself to get 6 hours driving lessons. It was extremely lucky cause I got a real fantastic instructor super patient and extremely good teacher; Edward. I had the best experience ever with him. I brought my granddaughter here about a month ago because she just turned 15 1/2 and they helped her get her permit by completing the online course within a couple of days.
