For starters, it's now called the A1 Driving School. Call them and set up an appointment. They'll come to your house and pick you up. Don't forget to bring your permit and glasses, if you wear them. You will be driving the entire time. At first, this really scared me, because I had zero experience being behind the wheel. But baby's got to learn sometime. And don't worry; they have a brake on their side to stop the vehicle whenever necessary. My instructor was very nice and patient. We just drove around my neighborhood and the surrounding area. He even had a checklist of things we had to cover, e.g. hand signals, parking beside a curb. My sessions were two hours apiece, with a few minutes break to rest.  Once the lesson was over, he would give feedback on what I had to improve on. (I paid with a check at the end of every lesson.)But it's not enough just to take these lessons, no matter how helpful they are. You also have to practice by yourself (with a licensed driver 25 or older sitting beside you, of course). This, as my instructor explained, helps build confidence. All in all, a good foundation to build your driving skills on and a positive learning experience. Read Less
