I had an exceptionally positive involvement with All American Driving School. The in class direction was as engaging as it was to the point. My companion took the Online Drivers Ed course for $20 dollars. We took our in the driver's seat preparing with a similar teacher and we both delighted in the course. I'm 18 now but I was suppose to get my license when I was 15/half .. but I was to scared the lady made me loose my confidence when she took me out to do the driving lessons. she yelled at me and hit the break when we were making a turn .. according to her we were going to crash but the thing is the turn was fine because I was no where near the cars on the other lane .. she let me keep driving and I was just praying for the lesson to be over .. I drove home and as soon as I walked in my house I started crying I was really scared! My mom asked what happened... I explained to her and my mom got really mad because the lady was suppose to show me how to drive knowing that I don't know anything... not scare me to the point where I don't want to go near a car. my mom called Martin and told him he was really upset because I still needed one more lesson but I did not want to go my mom explained to Martin and he said that he would give me my last lesson himself if that would make me confidence to drive again but I never went back! Martin is awesome but His wife... i have 0 comments. If you need a driving school I suggest this one but ask for Martin to give the driving lessons. That way you know your children are safe! Lana is very rude and criticizes more than she actually tries to help you improve driving. She has a heavy accent which makes it hard to understand what she wants you to do but she gets frustrated when you don't understand her. She expects you to do things perfectly every time or she goes off on rants about how you keep doing the same mistake and you're going to fail. She also is constantly on her phone. She kept telling me I did worse on my second day of instruction than the first, but that was because she made me so nervous and insecure. Driving instructors are supposed to make you feel comfortable and understand that they're teaching you because you don't know anything. Now I keep seeing great reviews about Martin, the other instructor who's also her husband, but I didn't even have a choice on who I would have for instruction. She also decided to tell me that her husband is cheating on her, which made me very uncomfortable and might be some of the reason she so angry and impatient. I suggest to divorce soon or stop cheating or you're going to be out of business soon. I had one more day left but I didn't even want to go because of how much anxiety I had. Don't waste your money! Martin is the best! I am 21 years old and live in SF. My mother flew me to Anaheim just to drive with him. All my brothers are trained by him and they drive fine. I took a three day class for 250$. We drive residential,streets and on the freeway. Martin is very calm and patient. He lets you go the driving and gives you advice. On the third day I had school to attend and I was trying to change the times, Martin understood I had school and came at a later time on the same day. He worked around my schedule so I could take the last class with him. I would recommend him because the prices are great, and the instructor is good. He has like 24 and more years of experience. He knows all the rules of the road and DMV rules. Do not listen to the other reviews because I don't think they are real. I would give this company 5 stars! Read Less

This driving school had the average price. I took the student package which was about $300 or so. The instructor, Martin, helped us practice for our permit tests. Though sadly, most of the sample questions given to me were not on the written test. You also get behind-the-wheel practice with Martin after you get your permit. When I practiced with him he talked on the phone a lot. The lady who answers the phone is rude too.Decent, but if you want to get your permit/license you need to study a lot because this place helps you a little bit. Read Less

I took the online course at this school. Once I finished I needed the school to send me my certificate in order to take the written test at the DMV. It should have taken 1 week through mail and instead took one month. I called the office to let them know and the person on the phone was extremely rude. She said I threw it away and I'd need to pay for them to send me another one. I brought up the possibility of them sending it to the wrong address and she said no. She continued to accuse me of losing it. After, they sent another and I still didn't receive it. The next time I went in person to pick it up only to find that they had been writing my address wrong. My son had a behind the wheel training which he was supposed to be home by 5pm at 5:30 i was getting a little worried so i called the school and asked where my son was and to my astonishment the woman told me that he could be up to two hours late as they have other students that had behind the wheel training at the same time not to worry she was very busy and hung up on me! I have no experience with the in-class driver's education here, I've only done the behind-the-wheel training with Lana. This driving school seemed most ideal at the time because my family was tight with money. Big mistake. My experience taking the behind-the-wheel course was horrible and it made me completely dread driving. This review is completed based on my experience and I am not making any of this up. It was the first time being behind the wheel in my life, and like any normal person, I was very nervous. Despite Lana's (the driving instructor) deep accent, she was very rude and demanding. Whenever I'd make a mistake, she would yell at me and asks me why I did what I did. Every lesson left me feeling very distraught and self-conscious. Not only that, during the lesson, she would make calls to other customers to schedule appointments, etc. If it were a few times, I wouldn't mind because the driving school does seem like a small business, but her calls were constant and ongoing during the lessons. Also, when other drivers would drive recklessly or make a mistake, she would come over to the steering wheel and honk, and go on to shout out the window. Whenever I'd asks her questions about driving, she would answer them sarcastically like it was common sense. Generally, Lana would scold me if I had made mistakes that I wasn't completely aware of before hand, and whenever I'd asks her to repeat what she had said she would raise her voice. It was like she was testing me on my driving skills, which was very minimalistic obviously. I know some may wonder by now, why didn't my mom just take me out of the school from the beginning? Well when you register for the driving lessons and start, the school actually makes you pay in advance with a cashier's check. For a cashier's check, the refund process is very long and complicated. So withdrawing me from the school was basically not an option since I had already started. Once I completed the driving lessons, I felt like I didn't learn anything. The lessons only gave me the experience and exposure of driving on local roads. My mom and I agree that the lessons weren't to truly teach people how to drive properly, it was just so the school could get their profit. For those thinking of enrolling for behind-the-wheel training for this school, save your money, and go to another quality driving school. Some people may just say I'm a bad driver. Well to update everybody, I took another set of driving lessons from another driving school, which was very efficient and passionate in their teaching. It's my first review of Yelp ever. Extremly Horrible customer service and system, do not come if you want driver ed, their system totally mess up, serviced like a piece of shit, putting idiot as a staff to communicate with you.I was getting my online education certification,I call them and it was a woman that has big Spanish accent while she was talking, and I don't know what she was talking sometimes. I have been patient on her and she said text her individually to provide my information, after one day we had a call again, she said she tried to come to my apartment to give me my certification and called me but I never get any call during the day, (she might be lying,just doesn't make sense). Also I can't barely understand what did she say, so I text her politely again to confirm : is she sending by the mail or what, unfortunately I didn't get any reply anymore. Obviously I called her, it was a day after while I still didn't get reply. In the call she got mad and being rude on me and said " stop , you don't have to call me million of times and text me million of time , it has been done ,I'm tired on you etc"and end the call rudely.just shock. LMAO are you kidding me?  I have got no confirmation thought email, the staff use a suck accent to communicate with you,just like a English teacher guess for what the hell does this Mexican kid speak ,and  I even need to text the staff politely, it's just like I'm bothering for the thing I have paid lol. See how unorganized and messed their service was? I'm really dissapointed and feeling piss. That's my worst decision ever for choosing this place. Its just few sucker and idiot are running that company.  that woman should be fired or if she is a boss, I hope it's closing soon. Awful, simply awful...Booked an appointment. Told them exactly where we live. We're given dates and times when they would arrive. Called to find out when they would get to our home for pick up...since it was 20 mins past pick up.Was informed that we are "out of their territory" and that they had left a message with this information. They left it on some number that is not ours, even though they had both our numbers and had called us before. Wasted an entire day that was scheduled around this exciting first driving lesson for our daughter.What a sloppy job and careless company and service. I called to ask information for my teenager son.  I can hardly understand the rep. because of her accent, and her communication skills is terrible.  After around 3 minutes on the phone, she told me that I better make a decision, not keep asking question.  This lady should have more training in customer service.No wonder that this service claims that it offers the best price.  The company may cut cost by hiring the uneducated people who can barely speak English to answer the phone.I will not enroll my son into this school even it is free!NOT RECOMMENDED Read Less

Terrible school. Would not recommend the behind-the-wheel course to anyone. The female instructor is extremely rude and mean. She seems to forget that most of her students have never been behind the wheel of a car before and that it's all new to them. It takes a hell of a lot more than 2-6 hours to perfect turns. Some learn faster than others but if you don't get it right away she makes you feel stupid. Also, one of their cars is faulty. The turn signals don't work properly. The right turn sometimes doesn't turn on, and the left turn blinks way too rapidly and probably doesn't even work. She also has a terrible accent that's hard to understand and will in the middle of a session start talking on the phone when she's supposed to be paying attention to your driving. Do not recommend for nervous or beginning drivers. At all. Find someone with more patience, decency, and understanding.Read Less

I usually don't write reviews, but I have to make this an exception, so no one else has to go through what I did. The classes were good, from what my daughter tells me, and she likes her driving instructor, but the woman who runs the place is an arrogant, difficult bitch who thinks she's doing you a favor! I now have to pay someone else to teach my daughter to drive on the freeway, and take this company to small claims court to get my money back. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone. There are other great schools like AAA driving school and Kanor Driving that we have had a great experience with. Read Less

Great Driving School. Best price in OC plus as far as I know probably the  funniest driving instructor in OC (Mr. Martin). I have no clue what stephens talking about, but I had a great time. BTW Stephen, I agree with shelley, these guys are in Anaheim so I'm sure too that they don't take their students all the way out to San Fran or LA. Also What I notice on yelp is that a lot of people like me who had a great experience just go home and tell their friends. I have never posted a review on Yelp but feel compelled to after my experience this morning with All American Driving School. A friend of mine recommended them for my child's behind the wheel training so I called. I have never been treated so rudely on the phone. The lady making my appointment asked for a phone number and I gave her mine. She then asked for my daughter's and I told her there was no reason for me to give it to her - I would be the one paying for the lessons and making the appointments. She pushed and pushed for the number while I tried (politely but firmly) to let her know my daughter is in high school during the day and there is no reason she needs to contact her directly. After about 3 minutes of this SHE HUNG UP ON ME! I must have sat there with my mouth hanging open for about 45 seconds! Needless to say I will not be letting these people teach my daughter to drive but I will be letting ALL my friends with soon-to-be-driving teens know to steer clear of All American! Unreal! First off. Let me Reply to Stephen M.'s Review. I agree with Shelley, this school is in Anaheim, CA. .. hmm.. Doesnt make sense what they would be doing "Beetween San Francisco and Los Angeles.. Let me tell you about MY EXPERIENCE with this Wonderful Traffic School.. Point #1 The Pricing is Amazing I called many different schools and they were way too expensive.To top it off I GOT A STUDENT DISCOUNT!!!.. After my parents talking to Mr. Martin they were very convinced this was the one.. The class was very good and understandable. It wasnt boring and I can say I actually learned ! There was about 15 people in my class and the teacher actually made sure we each understood everything and he was funny so it made the class much fun. Once we got on the road at first I was very nervous but after a few minutes I felt comfortable with them they were very patient and knew what they were doing. After taking the course I am proud to say I got my permit Thanks to the Amazing Couple and owners of All American Driving School! I highly recommend them!!!! Read Less
