This class is about as much fun as a root canal.  Kris, the teacher, is like a bull in a china shop.  She is dogmatic, argumentative, overbearing and doesn't allow for anyone to have an opinion that differs from hers. The course content is good, and really a class everyone should take, because MVD makes no attempt to educate people on the grueling and complicated laws drivers face in this day and age.Keep the content, lose Kris.  She was horrible. Well, I never thought I'd be writing a review for "traffic school", but alas, I made my infraction and had to pay the price.  Part of which included Traffic Survival School. The morning started off rather interesting...at least compared to previous experiences.  Odd scuffle during check in, and of course the disruptive student who failed to take personal responsibility, added a bit of flair.  The instructor, Kris, thwarted these with great professionalism and tact.   The owner, Cate was there for a short while, and she too demonstrated professionalism throughout. Sure, it's a long class.  But the time actually goes by much faster than you realize.  Lots of open discussion, and some group work involved.  Unlike other establishments, I hope never to visit the Fun Traffic School again.  I wish them much success, and am glad they were there. If you have to sit through one of these drab boring classes I highly recommend this school. Our instructor, Chris, was awesome and believe it or not the time flew. We had a ton of open discussions and real life comparison to each of our situations that brought us to the class. I hope to never take one of these classes again but if I need to I will definitely use this school!!  If you get Chris, you will actually learn something in a super fun environment. Read Less

I am giving it one star because it did get the job done. There was absolutely no attempt at fun. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. The "teacher" had the air about her of you are guilty and that is why you are here. The "class" was at Viscount Suites on Broadway. The room was tiny and I am sure we were way over capacity. The room was also dirty and there was even a hole in the wall. I felt so mislead. These people are very nice until you give them your money and then you are just a guilty dollar sign. Do not fall for their lines. Read Less

When some folks get personal all up in here they get yelpin' about their gynecologist or breast augmentation surgery. But I'm yelping about my traffic school because it was probably the most fun I've ever had in traffic school (yes, I've been more than once, I have a nasty habit of getting caught in the intersection by cameras.)With so many choices in Tucson, how did I decide on this one? Because it's Tucson's FUN TSS, and they live up to the name. First off, the website is great. Out dated? Yes. But informative, more so than any other school in Tucson. They also send you an email reminder that you've registered for class and text you the day before. FANCY! Class started when the instructor Sondra bolted in at 7:50AM after 4 hours sleep. I'm not certain why she only got 4 hours of sleep, but it sort of put her on our level, because really nobody wanted to be there, including Sondra. Do you watch So You Think You Can Dance? Sondra is Mary Murphy, seriously y'all, imagine Mary Murphy teaching you traffic safety! She popped in a Gabriel Iglesias Comedy Central special which we watched while she took attendance. At first I was like "Uhhhh, is this really happening? I could have slept another hour." But it actually had some useful information in addition to being damn funny. He did this bit about the different manifestations of "drunk" and talked about the "mirror drunk" who all night just yells, "HEEEEEY! HEEEEEY! m'here, you come over here!) After a 15 minute break, Sondra got started. The girl is hilarious, a bundle of energy spewing factual information intermixed with personal stories that kept the class moving. We talked about red light cameras, speeding cameras the fact that the city sees next to none of that money generated from gettin' your pic snapped- there was some good info. After lunch we watched two lame outdated videos (worst part of class-but MVD says it's a must) and then got to the meat of class DUI. Let me pause and just say, I've never been behind the wheel and thought "gosh, I might not want to be driving right now." I don't judge, I'm a pretty open person, but nobody should ever be in that position where they are operating a vehicle and debating their ability to do so! There were so many people in this class with suspended licneses that had to attend as part of their counceling. One woman had to be 78 and talked about the woes of the interlock system and how she doesn't (in her old age) have the lung capacity to blow as hard as you need to to start your friggin' car! Insane! After an hour of shock and awe in which Sondra described the cost of getting a DUI (personal, financial, emotional) we took 4 short group-like quizes and that was that. Honestly, there are so many choices for TSS in Tucson, but this one rocks. Sondra is in school earning her teaching certificate and she was  a natural. I'd go back, I mean, I don't want to, I don't want to get a ticket every other month at the heinous intersection of grant and tanque verde, but if I do, I'll be back in Sondra's class- maybe she'd let me TA the second time around? Know Before You Go: 8-5 sounds like a long time, but it's weird how it flies by in a way that makes you feel like you're done two hours early, ;). Read Less
