I signed up for the Beginner's Driving Course for May 21st, from the Scottsdale branch. Bought my seat 2 weeks prior to it, and everything was fine and dandy until the morning of the classroom session. I walk into the Holiday Inn they were holding the class at, only to find out from the front desk that the class was cancelled! No phone call within the past 24 hours saying it wouldn't be happening, nor was there an email saying anything- they just left me (and whomever else may have been signed up) out in the cold. Okay, no big deal- I start for home, still confused.A few minutes after I get home, I see the call. At the exact time the classroom portion was going to start, I had a missed call and a voicemail. I verified that the number indeed belonged to the Scottsdale branch before listening to the voicemail. What I got was something along the lines of "This is so-and-so from Driving Arizona, for Alyssa. The class was cancelled. Alyssa was rescheduled to the June class." The voice did mispronounce my name, but that's beside the point- there was still no explanation on why it was cancelled (there's no need for detail- 'personal issues' or 'not enough students' would've sufficed), and by now, I'm just beyond annoyed.Anyway, I decided to get my money back- mid-June is a long time away, and the sooner I can get through driving school and becoming a licensed driver, the better. So I called the number and explained calmly: "I was a student in the class that was cancelled today, and I'd like a refund- I need to find a different driving school soon." The man on the other line (Cane, if my memory is right) was silent for a good couple of seconds and then told me "You know, you don't need us to start the driving portion- you have a permit, don't you?" The tone in his voice and the line itself rubbed me the wrong way, so I explained why I couldn't and reiterated that again, I need a refund. He caved and said that it'll come by Monday.This was only my experience in one location, so your results can, may, and will vary. However, I hesitate to recommend this place. Read Less
